I drive a v6 and one thing I say a lot is “I wish I had a v8” Edit: since this comment still gets attention lol I did get my v8 I got a 15 GT had it for 3 years before some lady running a red light totaled it earlier in 2021 but I’m in the market for another one right now. You can see clips of it on my channel, I loved that car very much and miss it everyday
By Vxz same. I drive a 2012 grabber blue v6 mustang and ever since I realized how much I missed out on buying a GT instead, I never stopped blaming myself for not being patient and wait to buy a GT mustang for nearly the same price as I bought my v6. Oh well. I'm probably gonna get an s550 if I'm buying another mustang.
I’m a V6 Mustang owner and here’s my line:”The stock V6 is 1 second slower in the quarter mile than the stock GT. If you want to spend $10K on 1 second and ‘that sound,’ good on ya.”
No sadly the GT guys are usally assholes. I was lucky enough to get to drive a 2007 v6 daily for a year till I got rear ended at a stoplight because some asshole in a jetta was on his phone. But yeah I love the v6 its quite fun I can easily go 100MPH and I can get the back end loose.
There were days when I felt like this. Super happy with my '15 V6 but being honest, I longed for a V8. Finally got my 2017 GT Premium and its a new world. Still love my V6 - she treated me good
Daevster 666 no and let me tell you why, there are genuine people who love cars and actually want the best from them, then you have the douche bags that have no idea what they are talking about but still try to put you down by saying there bone stock v6 mustang will smoke your cobra.... there is just no common sense there. But I do agree with you somewhat, why can’t we all just be car guys :) you make a good point
We can but we can't at same time cuz its still like highschool or elementary school just read some of the half ass comments on here from some of the few "half price fucktards" on here
Harm What about me? I just got out of High School, and got a v6 mustang for around 8,000$. I'm not gonna get a v8 because I don't care about them. I just want to drive a Mustang simple as that.
only reason i didnt get the 8, i already pay 260 a month on a v6 and thats with hell of discounts and i have never had a wreck (im only 22) I owned a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix with an Edelbrock 350 in it.....the insurance was like nothing. So I recommend having a newer car as your daily that wont kill you in insurance and a classic muscle car with a ton of power which will cost you nothing in insurance......but this applies if you are under 25. After 25 your insurance becomes affordable.
What bothers GT guys the most is that they feel V6's are cramping their style. The more people confuse GT’s for V6’s, the more butt hurt they are. Next time you see a GT owner say _IS THAT A V6..?_ 😂😂
Look I’m not a V6 fanboy, I drive a Mustang GT, but the 2013-2014 Mustang V6 are actually pretty fast, especially the automatics driven in sports mode, they have actually surprised me and actually seeing many races and participating in races a 2013-2014 Mustang V6 actually most of the times beats a 4.6 V6/8 engine for the 2005-2009 stock mustangs most of the time, I know this comment might get hate but I don’t know why people think a V6 is bad especially the 2013-2014 V6 because a bolt on V6 can destroy a V8, and the engine is lighter reducing weight also, the comment about a V6 Mustang is a muscle is actually true but not true, Mustang is classified as a pony car now, but some of the original mustangs were built with a V6 engine but that’s my two scents, a V6 Mustang is just as good as a V8, and keep in mind before you go hating on this comment I do own and daily drive a 2014 Mustang GT, I’m just going off my experience with V6 mustangs
So what. And it sounds like rice, not a v8. Idgaf how slow a v8 is, nothing beats the true Merica sound of a v8. Especially not some 6 cylinder Jap scrap.
I seen a low milage, nice, and stock V6 Mustang convertible on a used lot. If it would of had a manual in it, I might have bought it. At my age, I just want a fun summer car that I could daily, that gets good fuel mileage. And, I wouldn't rice-it-out because it don't care if it can't do 12 second 1/4 miles.
I can't afford a GT, the insurance, or premium gas. I'll stick with the V6. Question, I have for GT buyers, why didn't you buy a Shelby GT? By the way, I say none of that shit.
Just bought a 2017 GT/CS, it had every option I wanted, the body styling was my taste, and with a 7,000 stage 3 sc, its plenty fast (faster than if I spent +15000 on a 2017 GT350)
Eric Guo it never says to put premium in my car, my car isn't tuned to run premium. My stepdad works at a international manager at Ford and he own a brand new gt every single year since 86 and he's never put anything other then 87 gas in it
I love my mustang. It’s a V6. As long as it goes the speed limit I don’t really care how fast it goes. People have tried to race me. I’m not about to get a speeding ticket.
I have a v6 and I must admit that I have been the exhaust type guy a few times. But in the end, I appreciate any car owner no matter the trim, as long as the owner has respect for what they have and what everyone else has.
0:58 The truth...it actually kinda hurts. I own a stock GT and LEMME TELL YA. That thing is a kitten meowing. Kinda embarrassing that your old V6 was much louder than my GT is. Can't wait to start modding it though :)
Bladed Angel louder don't mean shit, power and sound is what matters. I'd rather have a exhaust with a mellow sound at idle and a full pitch at full throttle
the most hilarious part is that my dad drives a v6 and the only people who harass him for it are people in cars with no redeeming qualities whatsoever, like a kia forte or hyundai tucson. so far EVERY single guy he's met that drives a 5.0 (and even a gt500) has been really nice, and mostly they all say that they're just glad he didn't upbadge it. be proud of what you have, because at the end of the day, a mustang is a mustang. not every mustang is equally as fast, but that doesn't make it any less of a mustang.
Thanks for your intro. I' have a 2007 V6 bought it new and still own it. I love it after adding a cold air intake and rims and a better muffler and it runs so cool I get many compliments where ever I go. Thank you Ford for this sexy inexpensive car for the real car lovers out there.
you can get a fox body 5.0 in decent shape for like 3-5 grand...or a SN95 or new edge for 6-7 grand.. i own a 00' gt and it only cost me $110 a month insurance.. not expensive at all..
Uh?? Last time i checked no one was buying a rwd v8 manual car for the interior??? lmao you buy it to drive. not to goggle over what your a-pillar looks like.. LOL
I bought a 2007 v6 a week or so ago and I can confidently say it’s perfect for me at the moment. It’s obviously not the fastest most bestest mustang there is, but it’s got enough to get me into the mustang world and still look great
It's about what you can afford, I got V6 Charger when I really wanted the RT but it was ridiculously expensive payment wise for the RT and I'm not going to put myself into debt just to have a V-8 and go a little faster. That being said, if you have a V-6, or V-8, just be happy with your car and don't try and get into a dick swinging contest, no V-6 will ever sound like a V-8 becuase it's just that, a V-6, I've got plenty of passing power and good gas mileage, if I want to race I'll get a car made for the track and build that, all this compititon between V-6 and the owners is them trying to make up for buying a V-6 becuase you know the looks you get when you have Mustang or Camaro or Dodge and you tell them you have a V-6.
I am a member of the 1987 to 1993 Mustang Fam. And i think there is no engine that sounds better then the classic 5.0 V8. You just can not beat the sound of those engines. They have plenty of potential for HP too.
Plenty of potential once you get rid of that stock block that likes to crack in half before 500hp. I do agree they still sound great. But the original intended use for the pushrod 302 (302-289-260) was never for a performance setup.
@@DOHCCordia Well, I owned Unlimited Performance which was featured in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords for our 1989 11 sec NA "daily driver" so I disagree. I know that 500 was the typical max but I have seen 550 plus quite a bit.
I have a V6 2000 ford mustang and I love it, it sounds great like the V8 also leaves a lot of mustangs in the dust, I'll never trade this car in for anything smaller or bigger, I'll be buying another mustang again soon
Coming from a life long mustang fan and someone who had a Gt and a v6… the mustang community is so freaking toxic it’s sad , why can’t we all just stand together and appreciate the cars we have , the outsiders hate us enough, now we’re hating each other ?? Jesus
Over the last 40 years I have worked on every part of a car from pistons to paint and now I make gas. I can't argue with anything you said and that kind of impressed by your frank honesty.
I'm a relative newcomer to owning a Mustang (since February 28th of this year) but I've wanted one since I was a kid. The first car I ever noticed was a 67 Fastback. I've always loved them. As far as my V6 goes it has plenty of horsepower when I need it and I'm getting between 28 - 30 mpg on average. I wasn't expecting the attention it's recieved though. Lol. I have the lightening blue (as it was my Mom's favorite color) and it just stands out. Please keep on doing the videos. I've actually learned a lot.
Us mustang owners should come as a community and help one another out no matter V8 V6 Or EcoBoost We love Mustangs and if we truly love them we should be able to love any mustang I own a 14 V6 but I respect everyones mustang and am genuinely very happy when i see any mustang
I don’t know why people hate on V6 engine so much, what if you want better performance but don’t want your wallet to melt completely? It’s the perfect balance between performance and fuel efficiency
v6 mustang looks cool, that's all, it's not really a performance car. I own a 2013 v6 convertible. Meh, with a convertible nobody gonna accuse me of buying the wrong car. If I bought the coupe then you might, but with the top down, it's just a cruiser with fantastic looks
*anger noises* I too drive a 2013 V6 coup. I went and got a new set of headers, exhaust, and mufflers with a cold air intake and tune. I love it. It is my daily driver.
There's a douchebag in the apartment complex next door to mine who thinks he has a hot Camaro. He swapped the exhaust on his V6 and it sounds like he put 2 fart cans on it. I guess he thinks it sounds like a beefed up Euro. It is loud and very annoying. He revs it every single time he starts it up. And over revs through the parking lot. He just pisses me off (and probably everyone else around us, too). My PT Cruiser probably can outperform him...it certainly sounds beefier. lol
Ive never said ANY of these things when I had my 2015 V6! I do agree though you can mess up the V6 sound really fast. The only thing I put was the roush axleback and it sounded great. Sounds even better on my 2017 GT ;)
I just bought a 2016 V6 as my first car and honestly I’m very happy with it and that’s what matters. People can have their opinions but my V6 with a CAI and some slip ons is good for me, decent gas mileage, pretty good power and beautiful looks is exactly what I wanted for a daily driver
I'll be upgrading to 5.0 in time. I will say that the V6 is fun car to modify and being an owner myself, it has been an enjoyable to have through college.
My dad has a v6 Mustang, and it's his first Ford vehicle, but he doesn't say anything you put out there in the 5 years he's driven it. It could just be for people that are too ignorant or arrogant that say all that stuff.
I bought my 2005 Ford Mustang 4.0 when it was only 4 years old with 36,000 miles. It now has 166,000 miles. It has always gotten 21-22 mpg. It has plenty passing power, because it is low geared and tops out at 107 mph. I do have to put snow tires on it to get around in the winter.
I bought it, because I use it as a daily driver and put on so many miles a year. I used to put on 36,000 miles a year. Way cheaper to replace than an expensive V-8.
I honestly wanted what the jeep community has when i had my v6 mustang. Doesn't matter what year, model whatever Jeep you have, all other jeep owners see you as family and all Jeep owners wave at each other. Only community i've seen like this.
Got a 4.0 v6 for 5 grand off craigslist. I’m proud of it idgaf. First car I own with title. 🖕no car payments and still in college. AND I get to say I drive a mustang.
Good on you ..ive had a couple different gt stangs a 4.6 with a 5 speed and now a twin turbo 5.0 6 speed and i wish I could say I didn't owe money on it. But its a fun car and stupid fast but I do like to hit the track on occasion and even drag race it every now and again. A mustang is a mustang and you either drive one or you don't, but don't let anyone put you down just because they have a faster car. Enjoy it and drive safe.
V6 New Edge Mustang owner here and I don't think mine is really fast. I always wanted a V8 but I felt like the V6 is a safe stepping stone for me to handle a more powerful V8. Plus I'm learning manual transmission. I am the type who seek for safety before thrill.
Can’t speak on behalf of other car communities, but I have never been trash talked by a GT owner. I’ve got a 17 V6 and every Mustang I see shows respect. It’s like being part of a big club, kinda nice.
V6's are owned by college students when they go to the dealership and get the cheapest one with no options. Wait... Balded Angle covered it in his video.
I went with a '99 (I love the design) V6 because the price difference (for the car, gas, and insurance as well) and I don't have a need for a V8 in my daily in Miami lol
badboy 25 this is true and people say "the insurance isn't that much more" but don't understand that for young people a sports car, that's what insurance considers it, is already more over a regular car for us and on top of that for a v8 coverage at such a young age would be a lot of money and gas for someone in college, hell my 2008 v6 is more expensive on the insurance than my mothers brand new 2017 maxima
badboy 25 Sadly this is me. I still love my 09 V6. Her name is Grace. It may be funny to some people, but hey, one hell of a first car. As I started getting into cars more and working on them, I realized I want a proper v8 Mustang next. But hey, one hell of a first car, and shes been good to me. At least I dont talk shit.
I like the balance of it , its good on gas, its fast idc who you are. 300hp in the 80s would be a record breaker. Its a looker and is actually pretty comfortable.
06 V6 5 speed convertible. I have had 2 of this body style and have loved them both. its really affordable, good-looking, cheap to fix, and you can drive the hell out of it and still not be in danger of getting a ticket. It's good, cheap fun. Plus the ladies don't care what engine it has. They just love to see that top drop though!
Well technically Mustangs (and Camaros) aren’t muscle cars, they are pony cars so the V8 engine isn’t actually part of the definition but fuck it why not have a V8
Had a 2015 v6 for 4 years, loved it, put the mpt prx 93 tune on it and it would run 13.6 in the 1/4 mile which is good for what it was. I did upgrade to a gt now, love it also, people drive what they can afford and the 3.7 is no slouch, put a tune on and shock people how quick it runs. Smoked my buddies 03 gt who always talked smack on my v6 till I took him to grapple bees.
I have a 05 V6 mustang and this video cracked me up. I know my car isnt much faster than your basic commuter car but I beg to differ on the TBS mod.. def not a scam.. proven to work with a tune.. combined with a tune, CAI, and just a bolted on muffler it made a difference on mine..
I drive V6 because it's the car I bought. 1. For most V8 it's their only car and saying V6 cant afford it. 2. Whos going to the track. 3. V8 driver always in packs of dudes a huge sausage fest. That quick to talk how bad a V6 is...where are the women. 4. Almost all crashes are V8 because they listen to the BS you Fks say. If cant handle your power maybe you should get a 4 banger! 5. V8 pop there chest out while buying a used car and say V6 owner cant afford a V8. You cant afford a new car? 6. Only V8 driver worry about Who's driving a V6 nobody else really give a sh*t. I have never heard a V12 driver ride d*cks talking about a V8. And taking about V6 I know a few that would bust a V8 ass do research in the European market! Just saying!
I'm 5 yrs late, but what so many fail to realize is there are people who have a V8 and can't afford it and people who don't have one, but have the money to afford one or even two. Having a V8 is flex for some. But having no debt, cars paid off, properties, the ability to retire early sounds pretty good. At the end of the day, the wealthiest people see a car as a "tool". Whether it's a V6, V8, V10, V12 they all get you from point A to B. This mentality seems like an attribute of the poor. People who got it like that don't have the time to be concerned about an engine in a car that's not theirs.
I’m a truck driver and have to be careful about how I drive in regards to keeping my license. My CDL is my livelihood, so with that in mind, I chose an ‘05 V6. I can still get into plenty of trouble with it, but I know that if I had a V8, I’d be more likely to drive like an idiot. I’m also into the small Brit cars of yesteryear, like the MG’s and Triumphs, so I wanted something that was a convertible with a manual transmission and a small displacement engine. My V6 does really well on twisty roads and has more horsepower than my ‘90 Camaro RS V8 that I had purchased brand new and loved driving. It also had a manual transmission. This brings me to another point: I was a DIE-HARD Camaro guy, but my ‘05 4.0 Mustang in Windveil Blue made me a lifelong convert.
I got a natually aspirated 2015 V6 because I heard of carbon buildup problems with the Ecoboost motors. My V6 has more HP and better gas mileage than my 96 Firebird Formula LT1! Love my V6 Mustang!
I like my v6. Bottom line you just gotta accept its not a V8. I like that mines and V6 for right now. It’s fun. Maybe one day I’ll buy a V8 but at the moment my V6 is my baby
I love my car but I have never said any of that. Who in their right minds thinks a spacer does anything. A tune is all you need, Bama no less. If you have heard any of this good lord i'm sorry for the owner of the car. Now the MPG plus speed is still a good point for 2011 and up. Yes you can add more to a GT and boom back to square one but your MPG will go down more then it already is. So you get the upper hand back but still cannot drive a long as the other. The sound thing is spot on. You cannot just put anything on and sound good.
In my eyes, v6 will always be inferior to v8. "What if its a twin turbo v6?" If a twin turbo v6 makes that much power, imagine what kind of power a twin turbo v8 would make
Unfortunately, there are some if not a lot of v6 owners that think that. On the other hand, things like "v8s with fbo are going to gap a v6 anyway" that's something that always is going to happen. Any car that has a higher version and so are going to be faster, stronger, etc. Than their lowest/cheapest version. Like a GT500s are going to win over GT350s and so to GT so that's something that is going to always happen. The only way is having a swap, getting the cheapest platform and having a great lowball deal engine crate. That's where you are going to get a great car over "a stock" car.
Not hating. But the v8 sound is a bit overrated. I preffer the v10 over anything, and even a v6 equally as an v8. But for real guys, nothing beats a Scania V8
I'm just glad there's some modest v6 owners out there that don't make us look like idiots. I'm busy saving for a GT and might even consider a Camaro SS.
I drive a V6 and I love it. People laugh at me for it but I don't care. I'm content with it. I'm not a brand boy. All these challengers, Camaros, corvettes, chargers and mustangs are all great cars. I don't hate any other brands or any engine
Anyways nice channel hope to see it grow! It might help some if you show your face in some of the videos instead of just showing a hood POV and driving around the city. I'm subbed.
The 3v one is hilarious. In my city good luck finding a 3v that isn’t modded. Gotta remember these cars are being purchased with cash for roughly $5,000-$10,000. Most of the newer car guys wouldn’t dare void their warranty on a car they’re still making payments on.
my friend: "i was late to class, I was going like 80 down pierce haha"(pierce is our main kinda street). I was like "bitch u got a v6 mustang how did you not run out of road?" and he got so butthurt giving me shit that I can't buy one, etc etc etc
So..... I have a v6 mustang. 2004. Im a little ashamed. Im currently about to sell it to get an old fox body gt. I love the looks of them and they are really easy to mod. I dont want to be a part of this group lmao, I want a real muscle car haha. But just for the record.... I have pulled off some pretty sweet skids in the v6 even without an lsd.
I had a 87 Mustang LX 200,000+ miles on her and she still ran perfect when I bought my 2000 Mustang GT, now in Oct at the end of Oct 2017 I was in a Bad Crash and the 2000 GT was Totalled. I'm still in recovery, that was 9 months ago, Loved that Car. All I've got to say anybody that has a Mustang V-6 or GT it does not matter. Hell a V-6 Mustang is better than a Dodge or Chevy anyway, at least it'll last longer as long as you take care of her. I've had friends that went through several Chevy's and Dodge's in the almost 18 years I had my one GT Mustang and if I hadn't been involved in that Crash it would still be running and looking good.
From what I’ve seen a throttle body spacer does have a small performance benefit of making your car more responsive towards the lower end. It doesn’t make it faster by much nor does it make it have a lot more horsepower. It just makes it more responsive. Also, I’ve heard that sometimes TBS’s won’t work well at all depending on what car you’re installing it in. Therefore I’d look up how a TBS affects your car before making the purchase.
i know a guy who is a v6 owner he said “im getting a brembo brake kit for my mustang” .. he shows me pics of the “brembos” .. they were caliper covers 😓🤦🏻♂️
I own a 2006 Mustang GT, all I can say is, if I see another Mustang, they are my new buddy
Me too. Mines a vista blue

We can but we can't at same time cuz its still like highschool or elementary school just read some of the half ass comments on here from some of the few "half price fucktards" on here
Daevster 666 read what I just post
Nope it’s a v6 mustang
Grm i was about to day that😂
300 HP for a V6 is still decent, it's still considered a fast car
☆кυωαιтι - єαgℓє☆ compared to the v6s back then, yeah 300hp is a shitload for a v6
I just bought a 2017 v6 its pretty darn quick supprised me for sure but hang with the new v8 no makes me sad but the gas milage hella diffrence
Just.. just no😂
Kirk Using the laughing emoji doesn't help what you are trying to express. Please put into words instead of those pathetic emojis.
A G37 better tbh
I personally like the v6. I do not have any mods or will get any. It's just the beauty of the Mustang I wanted. I use it for everyday commute.
Unless he likes the mustang but wants to save some money on gas.
Respect
TheGhost alright bet , whats his PayPal?
Harm What about me? I just got out of High School, and got a v6 mustang for around 8,000$. I'm not gonna get a v8 because I don't care about them. I just want to drive a Mustang simple as that.
lmfao
(V6 owner) I cant afford a base gt (owns fully loaded v6 mustang convertible)
carlos velasco lol true
BUT MUH GAS MILEAGE!!!! REEEEEEE!!!!!
one word. Insurance.
carlos velasco SAME!!!! Lol
only reason i didnt get the 8, i already pay 260 a month on a v6 and thats with hell of discounts and i have never had a wreck (im only 22) I owned a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix with an Edelbrock 350 in it.....the insurance was like nothing.
Super Bird I know that feeling lol
Haha !
😂 😂 😂
SteelersGuy4357 people just like to hate cuz theyre insecure about their dick size.
I travel 65 mins to work that’s why I got a V6 😂
I have an 80 mile round trip commute and my ‘18 GT gets 25-26 mpg average. 10 speed auto is awesome.
“Oh it’s just a v6”? - Nissan Altima owner.
“Oh you got a v8?” I can still beat you -same Nissan Altima owner.
By the way, I say none of that shit.
aeros Same lol
Just bought a 2017 GT/CS, it had every option I wanted, the body styling was my taste, and with a 7,000 stage 3 sc, its plenty fast (faster than if I spent +15000 on a 2017 GT350)
I got a 2014 gt and I run it on regular gas, my insurance is only $40 more then my 200u explorer, so it's worth it.
Eric Guo it never says to put premium in my car, my car isn't tuned to run premium. My stepdad works at a international manager at Ford and he own a brand new gt every single year since 86 and he's never put anything other then 87 gas in it
I buy a gt and put a phase 3 roush supercharger kit on and Bam I’m keeping up with a Shelby
Aftermarket stripes add 150 HP!
Say no more
I am sold
2005-2010 gt fam... the 2010 was just a new body style but was still a 3v.
You are indeed correct! Dang, I always forget about the 2010 year being that one odd year -- new body style -- old engine.
Actually I'm pretty sure it's 2005-2011. The Coyotes started in 2012
Skutr45 nah the 5.0 started in 2011
rong
to skutr45
I love my mustang. It’s a V6. As long as it goes the speed limit I don’t really care how fast it goes. People have tried to race me. I’m not about to get a speeding ticket.
Facts
There’s 2 types of people in this world... people like you, and people like me. Enjoy whatever you drive brother
Mark Vlogs they even sound alike
Bashir Jafiya: yeah
They brothers.
Bladed Angel louder don't mean shit, power and sound is what matters. I'd rather have a exhaust with a mellow sound at idle and a full pitch at full throttle
I will give ya 2 words, Corsa Extreme!
the most hilarious part is that my dad drives a v6 and the only people who harass him for it are people in cars with no redeeming qualities whatsoever, like a kia forte or hyundai tucson. so far EVERY single guy he's met that drives a 5.0 (and even a gt500) has been really nice, and mostly they all say that they're just glad he didn't upbadge it. be proud of what you have, because at the end of the day, a mustang is a mustang. not every mustang is equally as fast, but that doesn't make it any less of a mustang.
If someone harasses another person simply because they drive a v6, they have a child's mentality..
Nothing beats that grumble of a v8 with a good exhaust tho 👌
Thanks for your intro. I' have a 2007 V6 bought it new and still own it. I love it after adding a cold air intake and rims and a better muffler and it runs so cool I get many compliments where ever I go. Thank you Ford for this sexy inexpensive car for the real car lovers out there.
Don't hate on v6 mustangs. Some ppl don't have the money to buy a GT
Why get a gt when you can get a boss 302 a Mach or even fox body
you can get a fox body 5.0 in decent shape for like 3-5 grand...or a SN95 or new edge for 6-7 grand.. i own a 00' gt and it only cost me $110 a month insurance.. not expensive at all..
Stephen Biase with the included shitty interior of the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s. 2005 and up is where it’s at. As well as 75 and down.
I'm just saying there are other options to getting a gt
Uh?? Last time i checked no one was buying a rwd v8 manual car for the interior??? lmao you buy it to drive. not to goggle over what your a-pillar looks like.. LOL
I own a v6 and I say quite a lot of things and my favorite thing to say is “I’m upgrading to the 5.0 ASAP”
I bought a 2007 v6 a week or so ago and I can confidently say it’s perfect for me at the moment. It’s obviously not the fastest most bestest mustang there is, but it’s got enough to get me into the mustang world and still look great
Same, I just bought a 07 v6. Its my daily driver for now so I didnt need a v8. I love it, gets good mpg and looks fricking amazing.
i had v6 stolen out of my driveway, got a GT after that..lets just say getting my car stolen was the best day of my life 😂
It's about what you can afford, I got V6 Charger when I really wanted the RT but it was ridiculously expensive payment wise for the RT and I'm not going to put myself into debt just to have a V-8 and go a little faster.
Mathew Hastings amen
I mean a v6 Mustang is my first car and I live that thing and I'm happy to even have a mustang
They were a performance setup from the factory.....
@@DOHCCordia
Well, I owned Unlimited Performance which was featured in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords for our 1989 11 sec NA "daily driver" so I disagree.
I know that 500 was the typical max but I have seen 550 plus quite a bit.
Just got my first car. 2007 v6 mustang, v8 would be cool as hell but hey, for a first car I’m as happy as can be
I have a v6 08 s197... my number 1 phrase is " I have enough horse power to make sure the crowd I hit fixes a few potholes "
I have a V6 2000 ford mustang and I love it, it sounds great like the V8 also leaves a lot of mustangs in the dust, I'll never trade this car in for anything smaller or bigger, I'll be buying another mustang again soon
Lol, my procharged v6 is faster than alot of v8’s out there.
Coming from a life long mustang fan and someone who had a Gt and a v6… the mustang community is so freaking toxic it’s sad , why can’t we all just stand together and appreciate the cars we have , the outsiders hate us enough, now we’re hating each other ?? Jesus
Mustangs V6 are Great!!!! I had a 5.0 lovely engine but today I drive my 3.7 305hp are excellent for daily driving....
Over the last 40 years I have worked on every part of a car from pistons to paint and now I make gas. I can't argue with anything you said and that kind of impressed by your frank honesty.
As long as it runs good and looks good its perfectly fine. I love my v6 mustang
How about "If it weren't for the sales of the V6 or 4 cylinder, there would not be a Mustang today?"
Us mustang owners should come as a community and help one another out no matter V8 V6 Or EcoBoost We love Mustangs and if we truly love them we should be able to love any mustang I own a 14 V6 but I respect everyones mustang and am genuinely very happy when i see any mustang
I 👍
Older Mustang V6s were a boat achor but now they receive strong feed back
I'd bang one if i had to , hell yeah baby
I don’t know why people hate on V6 engine so much, what if you want better performance but don’t want your wallet to melt completely?
It’s the perfect balance between performance and fuel efficiency
v6 mustang looks cool, that's all, it's not really a performance car. I own a 2013 v6 convertible. Meh, with a convertible nobody gonna accuse me of buying the wrong car. If I bought the coupe then you might, but with the top down, it's just a cruiser with fantastic looks
*anger noises*
I too drive a 2013 V6 coup. I went and got a new set of headers, exhaust, and mufflers with a cold air intake and tune.
I love it. It is my daily driver.
I took mine through the suches loop in Georgia and was passing geezers on Harleys lol
Haha I live in Frisco TX and I noticed a few of the street signs and saw that you live in Mckinney!
RickitySplitz I think it’s more toward ppl who race their cars and care about the power and sound.
Hey I have a v6 but im not cancer. Currently saving up for a newer car. Considering waiting for the new STI if they put a new engine in it.
Romansgaga have a fun wait bud
Viok fr fr. Slow as shit too
Saleen Mustang I dunno they are fast especially if you build em right
Viok that's why you are so mad at your dad. He turned fat after leaving your mom because she told him not to buy that car
Rolando Mota lol, wish I could race you, you talk alot
He showed me twin turbo v6 and said his car hit 0-60 faster than the 2014 R35 skyline 😂😂😂
Can’t speak on behalf of other car communities, but I have never been trash talked by a GT owner. I’ve got a 17 V6 and every Mustang I see shows respect. It’s like being part of a big club, kinda nice.
I like a v6 mustang probably my favorite daily car tbh
I drive a 08 v6 4.0, and what I say is that my full coverage insurance is right at $100 case closed.
V6's are owned by college students when they go to the dealership and get the cheapest one with no options. Wait... Balded Angle covered it in his video.
This is a fact, im in college and I just bought a used v6 2016 mustang lol we all start some where tho
I went with a '99 (I love the design) V6 because the price difference (for the car, gas, and insurance as well) and I don't have a need for a V8 in my daily in Miami lol
Addy M a car isn't a "need" anyway so you just played yourself by getting a V6.
badboy 25 this is true and people say "the insurance isn't that much more" but don't understand that for young people a sports car, that's what insurance considers it, is already more over a regular car for us and on top of that for a v8 coverage at such a young age would be a lot of money and gas for someone in college, hell my 2008 v6 is more expensive on the insurance than my mothers brand new 2017 maxima
badboy 25 Sadly this is me.
2019 ford gt Super car is a v6 so I don't see why'd that would make you insecure
• 5stars • Mustang isnt a Muscle car what happened to the Ford Galaxie
The 1965 base Mustang has a 200ci Inline 6 with 120 HP lol
Had a 2015 v6 for 4 years, loved it, put the mpt prx 93 tune on it and it would run 13.6 in the 1/4 mile which is good for what it was. I did upgrade to a gt now, love it also, people drive what they can afford and the 3.7 is no slouch, put a tune on and shock people how quick it runs. Smoked my buddies 03 gt who always talked smack on my v6 till I took him to grapple bees.
I have a 1970 Ford XY Falcon V8 station wagon.
Top speed 217 kilometers an hour. (135 mph)
Ben Piercy xy aye my dads gota xw 351ci sedan
Procharged V6 mustangs can usually push around 450-470 WHP not crank. That makes a huge difference
I got a 2012 v6 mustang premium with the Pony package as my first car
Lucky
RickitySplitz lucky in having a slow car ? lol
@@Theedd9991 you say slow as if your mustang wouldnt get slapped by a hellcat
I have a 2018 gt and a 2017 v6. Personally, the gt is super fast and responsive, but the v6 is so much better when it comes to the feel of the drive
It's just a car man relax people
Said no car guy ever
no
moron
Lmao I remember I had the cleanest v6 mustang and I’d always get asked if it’s “ ahh v8” is it stick? No and no ):
XCVI Mac then its gay
John B but he has a gt ; ]
HipHop Johnny it's not a GT read the comment
John B he drives a gt NOW ik him
John B how a v6 gay tho
I got a natually aspirated 2015 V6 because I heard of carbon buildup problems with the Ecoboost motors. My V6 has more HP and better gas mileage than my 96 Firebird Formula LT1! Love my V6 Mustang!
Loved everything except the last one 😂😂 I never heard anyone say that before buh if I did I would slap the shit out of em 😂
Devin Crave fuck MPG I love the throaty growl of a mean V8
If your worried about mpg, dont buy a sportscar, buy a honda or something
I was with you on everything up to the last one, Mustangs are "american muscle cars" regardless of the engine in it.
2005-2010 actually
I’m a v6 owner, I fuck around with these but I’m never serious but I know people like this and it’s great😂
my friend: "i was late to class, I was going like 80 down pierce haha"(pierce is our main kinda street). I was like "bitch u got a v6 mustang how did you not run out of road?" and he got so butthurt giving me shit that I can't buy one, etc etc etc
Some people just want enough power/efficiency balance, rwd, and nice styling. V6 mustang fills that gap pretty well.
Brennan Franklin even if you get a GT you still won't own a muscle car
Brennan Franklin don’t listen to what these losers say. if you’re satisfied with a v6 then keep it
I had a 87 Mustang LX 200,000+ miles on her and she still ran perfect when I bought my 2000 Mustang GT, now in Oct at the end of Oct 2017 I was in a Bad Crash and the 2000 GT was Totalled.
I want a trans am instead they arent that much
From what I’ve seen a throttle body spacer does have a small performance benefit of making your car more responsive towards the lower end.
I seen 600whp+ turbo 3.7’s
Jose Lopez key word turbo
I saw a 500whp procharged 2015 V6. I'd take that over a GT tbh.
DevinB Automotive Why? You could just procharge a GT and make more power. Just like he said.
lewl ok and all a GT has to do is get a 7k Whipple and easily push 700+ rwhp
