When they ask why you got a v6 instead of a v8, ask them why they got the GT instead of the GT500... I'm sure their answer will be very similar to your's.
+Youngster543210 factor in the cost of insurance and difference in gas mileage and you could easily spend twice as much on a GT as a v6 per month. At least for me. I'm getting a 2017 ecoboost and I drive 4,000 miles a month for work, for me it's easily half the price of a GT.
+Youngster543210 but the bottom line is how much someone can afford. It comes down to cost. To some people $7k is a lot of money. Some people want to get the most car for their budget. And some people like you can't factor in the total cost of ownership of a vehicle, you just look at the sticker price. Insurance, has, maintenance, parts, etc...
For real. I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone with a v8 5.0 make fun I mean I’m sure it obviously happens but you’re right it’s mostly people who don’t even HAVE a mustang or nice car
Mike Halve Yeah sorry I can afford the gt I'll take my 5.0 with a built motor and paxton blower making 740+ that makes more power and is way more fun to drive and I don't give a fuck about gas mileage because it only gets driven on the weekend.
amen to that.. i don't understand why ppl have some sort of hate towards ppl who own a v6 mustang? Calling it slow etc, where they never drove one to begin with. And maybe for some who can't even afford one, but yet still complains abt this subject matter. I use to own a 2002 V6 Mustang (you can check my channel if you want to see it) and ppl would sorta rag me on having a v6 stang. But they don't realize that owning a v6 is not only good in MPG but cheap in insurance where i live, toronto canada. V8 would almost cost me twice as much in insurance. But yet i still was having fun driving it.
fpshooterful We don't rag on them until the v6 owner tries to justify owning the v6 for some reason other than financial. There is objectively no reason to get a v6 over a v8 unless you can't afford the v8, end of story.
i own a 2013 3.7 v6 auto and i love it ..... GT or v6 does not matter .... its a mustang. buy what you want and enjoy it... if you want a GT then buy one .... if you want a V6 then buy one .... as long as you are happy with what you buy forget everything else people are talking about ..... half of the people talking bout you need a GT dont even own a mustang ... V8 or V6 its your choice
Agreed. I just love they way they look, if I was serious about speed, Id get a Challenger SRT, Mustang 350, or their coked up airhead gfs to give me some sloppy toppy while im on the go!
Hey I love mustangs, pull up to me in any year mustang v6 or ecoboost and I'll love you're car!!! I own a 2013 GT track pack but I won't hate on a v6 I still love mustangs!! I don't hate on mustangs!!!!
PrepToGetRekt I’ll talk shit about the mustangs with the eco boost name but I still like them now you pull up in a 69 Mach 1 hell yeah I’ll do anything just to touch one
Absolute Longplay ok now why do you hate them they have a lot of good The reason I got one “other than the fact that my dad bought it for me” is I don’t want to go fast but I want some power I don’t want a Ford Focus but I don’t want a viper
@@randytheracer3664 its a good balace of mpg and power that much is true. I just did not like that the ancient 4.6 still had more torque and more all motor potential. The only big power adder for a 3.7 is boost. Lastly the sound! It remineded of a Nissan 370Z, when I used to have a V6 Mustang I was envious of V8 exhaust. If I pulled up in a traffic light next to a decrepit 90's GT full of rust that I could easily smoke in a race I still felt shame when I heard his glorious exhaust.
I am a child of the 60's, 70's the side of the reminds me of a 67,68 as well as the front to me. I also like the sequential turn signals, reminiscent of the Shelbys. Mine is dressed up as a GT 350 and I get ppl asking me if it's the real thing. I can't lie I tell them it's a 6 and they can't believe it! If we re stopped at a gas station I have to pop the hood and show them. I didn't want a cookie cutter mustang, I wanted to give it personality, I guess that's why I love it so much! Been looking at LED marker lights from American Muscle for it. I took the speed limiter out and I have hit 140 in the car and it didn't take long to get there ! LOL
We don't buy mustangs for practicality. I always hated this argument and when I had my V6 refrained from using it always. A mustang is not practical. It is a monster designed to pull - and give you many smiles per gallon
I'm 17 and bought an 05 v6 mustang before I really got into cars. After finding all the stuff online about the hate, I simply educated myself on it's specs and found my place on the road. The problem with the v6 doesn't lie in the car or the engine but in the driver's it tends to attract. As long as you dont act like a douchebag and try to show off a car that isn't anything special, they are a lot of fun to drive and are fairly reliable. I still couldn't be happier with my purchase
I feel that there is nothing wrong with owning a v6 mustang, its a legendary vehicle to own and be apart of the community. If a V8 owner disses a V6 well they are a hypocrite. Ford made a v6 since 1964 so anyone can own one to join the Icon Mustang World. V8 owners need to understand, its not power, its the legend behind the Mustang. Stop hating and be proud that the mustang community is growing year after year
Mustangs have a long history but i personally love the way they look. Challengers are sexy too but look too bulky for my taste. Camaros were great in the 90s and early 2000s but nowadays they look like pimped put Chrisler 300s. The Pontiacs look more like toyota camrys than muscle cars.
For me, i've always loved mustangs, whether it be a v6 or a GT or a gt500, saleen, RTR, Supersnake, S550, the infamous Cobra/Terminator, sn95's. The list could go on but growing up it was always a car that just stood out to me, they always sounded amazing, they always just had the look of what i personally pictured as a muscle car and that's not to say others aren't, it was just my personal favorite of all. I like the reply of when people ask that just saying "well why didn't you get a gt500?" There will always be a step up from anything you buy and not everyone can afford the GT, although it is very practical and compared to other muscle cars/ sports cars out right now it's dirt cheap to get a GT. The GT has always been considered the big bad car, everyone knows the V8 Mustang as the real iconic muscle car and the V6's just weren't on par with it around those times at all, i think this really played a part into why they get so much hate. It's not the big 5.0 liter engine, it's not the insanely loud and aggressive sound and rumble of a v8. I love my v6 with a passion, but when i have my windows down and a GT passes me that's lightly modified with mostly exhaust, it makes my heart drop, every single time, you can not beat that sound no matter what you do or how you try, it sounds so so good and being behind the wheel of one and i'm fortunate enough to have a friend who has let me drive his before, it's just a different sensation and it wasn't even about power for me, the engine is amazing in the V8's, the sound is just fantastic in every aspect and the V8 will forever have my heart in that aspect, there is a lot of potential for those V8's as well, a lot of people are Coyote swapping, i know a few who are at least. Onto the V6 which is what i have as well as you, it has a lot of potential as well and it's a quick car, i love mine, it always makes me smile, i'm always happy to walk out and know that's my car and i get to drive it and i'm very fortunate to have it because as i mentioned before, growing up, it didn't matter, i just loved mustangs of all kinds and to have it is amazing, the sound is amazing, the handling, it really is an amazing car and it irritates me with all the hate the V6 mustangs get, but it will always be there no matter what. At the end of the day, it is your car, you love it and that is all that matters, there are a lot more factors to consider then to just worry about an engine and i personally don't like that people don't really give the v6 a chance, regardless, get what you enjoy and just have fun with it, they are all amazing cars and i never get tired of seeing or hearing them.
I personaly love the way they look. Althought after seeing the front end of the newer models, I was preferring the 05-09 front end look over the 2015 and up. As far as the side and the back, it looks great. The rear/break lights give me super car vibes and the sequential signals are the icing on the cake. There was something I didnt really like about the headlights with the (3) LDE stripes but after seeing pictures of the classic from the late 60s and ealy 70s, I could see it was a tribute to the formed side panels that achieved the same look from the light bouncing off from it. I would top off my build with louvered back side windows, a GT350 spolier, and some spinner rims because fuck being normal lmao
That’s awesome dude. I own a v6 black cherry gloss 2012 convertible, and I love it. I let my friend drive it with the top down, and he now wants one lol. Nice read
not everyone needs or even wants a v8. let the haters hate & buy the car THEY want.after tons of deep research, i bought the car i wanted.& it does NOT have a v8. for me, & my needs the v6 was the correct decision.after several years, i still stand by my decision.its all the engine i need.
if you can afford a v8 go for it i have a 2015 mustang v6 with a manual transmition i let go a 2013 gt because it was "old" and i was happy to have the newer model but honestly if i could go back in time i would for sure have gotten the gt the exhaust and the performance is no comparison with the v6 v6 is a fun car but after driving a v8 man its a different animal
Reminds when i drive my scatpack nearly everyone asks me why don't you get a hellcat. Well, a hellcat is not cheap. Second, 707hp is way too much for me to daily use . Also it's a huge deal on gases and insurance. As long as you're happy then that's a good car for you, keep on!
My thinking is: When you go Mustang, go V8. But... if you're on a smaller budget, and really want a Mustang, the V6 really isn't so bad. In my book I'll take it any day instead of the four banger.
I love my 2017 Mustang EcoBoost premium. It's a great car. I love all Mustangs but didn't want a V8 even though I could afford one. So many options for so many tastes. Just love them all !
I just got a 2017 V6 with 300 HP and 6 speed manual transmission ...Did a video and the comments were so bad, I had to disable them ;) People just don't understand why someone would wanna get a V6. I have put a K&N air filter and Flowmaster American Thunder kit on mine, and the car is super fast and sounds great. Compared to my previous 2016 Mazda 3 GT 2.5L 183 HP, the monthly insurance rate went down by Cnd$10 or US$7 :) Why would I want a V8?
I hate how Ford discontinued the V6 mustang. Why not keep it around and create a turbo'd version of the V6? The naturally aspirated V6 is slightly less powerful than the ecoboost, but it sounds so much better and feels nicer.
Lol, if they did put a turbo on the v6 they would lose sales on the v8, so I don't think they would do that. Since they got rid of the v6 you already know it was a piece of shit. Why bring it back it can't even beat a Ecoboost on the drag strip and the echoboost is a 4 cylinder car how embarrassing
@@bruce2535josie Explain yourself on how its a piece of shit? the v6 mustang pulled more sales than the v8 and its the reason why ford can fund the v8 engine. Infact, if you want to pull some shitty argument like that then I can say they removed the v6 because they want people to pay the extra money for the V8. its either all or nothing for ford.
Me too! I've got a '13 V6 and would buy another V6 if I could get one new. Won't buy an I4; 4 cylinder Mustangs seem silly to me & I don't think it would be as reliable as the bigger NA 6. Besides, I had a Pinto. V8s are just too much all the way around. Guess I'll have to just stick with the '13. The reason Ford discontinued the V6 is that a well-driven V6 with all the bolt-ons could beat a stock V8 driven by a slub. Not good for V8 sales.
Northwind000 man the v6 doesn't play its like a baby v8 with how much power it has stock on top of that it can hold more pressure so you could boost it and probably beat a lot of v8's
im 18 years old and bought my first mustang a few months ago. growing up I always was drawn to mustangs, now i finally have one, its a 1999 35th anniversary with the 3.8 v6, i have had some mixed feelings about it lately because of people talking bad about them and this video gave me a big boost in owning a v6 mustang
Totally agree with the video. If you're goig to college and have other expenses to worry about, 2011+ v6s are great. More than enough power for daily driving and to have fun. Most of the haters out there never even driven the 3.7 mustang. They kinda just jump on the hate bandwagon. Honestly though, if yall have the money, definitely get the Gt. Rode in one and they are crazy fast. You won't be able to fully take advantage of the 420 hp on the streets. Also have driven the 2016 camaro ss. It's CRAZY. But yeah, if you're planning to get a daily driver that is a ton of fun still and wont break your bank, the v6 mustang is the car.
To be clear, I don't ”hate on” guys who choose the V6 over the V8. You can only purchase as much car as your budget will allow and the car still looks great and drives nicely for what it is and can be modded in many ways to improve the ownership experience. The points you raised about handling and suspension mods. There are plenty of mods to help the heavier nosed v8 handle quite well. CorTeX Racing provides excellent solutions for this overcome easily the heavier front end. From the factory, these cars are not set up for track use. The biggest reasons to buy the V8 over the V6 aside from the obvious power are sound of the exhaust that you cannot replicate with a v6(sound being very much part of the driving experience. Six cylinders by comparison sound a bit too sedate and safe), fuel mileage when driven normally is only marginally worse than the V6 in real-world driving by about 3-4 mpg( not a huge savings there in terms of fuel cost if you do the math), and insurance rates are generally only marginally cheaper by about $60 annually even for guys in their early 20s. I’m not sure in what state you live but I would encourage you to shop around a bit more, this could be of some help possibly. The biggest deterrent to the V8 is upfront cost to buy. The V8 cars in terms of longevity; however, tend to outlast the V6 engines, and if you intend to keep the car long term rather than trade it in before 100k miles-150k miles, that makes a difference in cost of ownership. Your general upfront costs of things like oil changes will be somewhat more for the V8 but if you really need to pinch pennies, this can be done yourself and save yourself enough money that it won't make a dent in your wallet; especially if you buy oil and filters in bulk. In general, whichever engine choice you have, there is fun to be had in both and I think it in poor taste to put someone in the car community down or say rude things about someone’s choice of car but for my money, give me the V8!!!
Great points, but who wants to spend the extra money to drop in modifications for a handling upgrade? Secondly, you mentioned gas mileage, it’s really no comparison, the V6s gas efficiency is head over heals better than the V8 even though they both eat gas pretty fast, majority of people’s commutes are usually, stop and go traffic and city driving on a daily basis, which in turn burns way more gas than open highway driving. As far as sound that’s really a matter of a few exhaust upgrades done right and though you get about a hundred more HP, 300+ HP is still a lot more than most cars on the road, and as if you’re not running your car on a track it’s really no need for even that much HP, it’s really just a great marketing point, and makes Ford a ton of money. I also think you’re severely underrating the cost. Besides upfront cost regardless your insurance is going to skyrocket, and if you’re paying a note, 5 to 9000 makes a difference, that could raise your note by and hundred plus dollars, also there’s Maintnence costs most don’t factor in. The negativity for V6 owners is idiotic, they’re still muscle cars/sports cars , regardless.
HeyThisIsGraham /hey I just saw your video about v6 mustangs. yes they are underappreciated. I have a 2014 v6 mustang (mca) mustang club of america. it to is also deep impact blue, a selling point for me. I enjoy the hell out of my mustang. it's also a unofficial one of a kind if you would like to hear about it later?
Kyle Flynn : hey it's Jerry, I too have an mca 2014 v6 with bolt ons. Those gt guys don't get it. They underestimate the v6, there is so much more you can do to a v6 to improve looks and horse lower. I ran a gt down at mustang week last year.
glad there's someone who has a brain out there, if you hate a v6 mustang it's because you are ignorant. it's sad there's a bad stigma around mustangs, those haters divide the car community. I bought an 05 and I love it
i have a 2012 V6 i just bought a few weeks ago. I’m 16 and i appreciate it so much. It has 88k miles on it and its pretty much brand new. I will forever be in love with this car
I LOVE my Guard 051A Package 2015 3.7 auto! Picked it up used for $17,000. Has 300+HP over 30mpg hwy, paddle shift is so fun it kicks ass, IRS handles like a dream, looks extremely bad ass! This car is the TOTAL package has it all. Trust me I'm 46 and this is my 4th Mustang, 289cid, 5.0, 4.6, autos, sticks and this is by far the greatest vehicle I have ever owned period.
I agree Sam. I sold my 73 vette and bought a new 2016 Race Red 3.7 with 051A package. It will run circles around my old ex vette which was a great car.
cars are soooooo cheap in the USA ! I think I am going to buy one in the US and drive it over next time around. I have a gorgeous 2010 v6 that I paid $11,000 for. Her name is betsy , she is my mistress :)
i own a 2011 mustang 5.0 v8 but i still dont hate on the v6 i bought the v8 because it was for sale in the city i live in. both the v6 and v8 are insane engines so dont hate on the v6 :)
Lol! If you've been around awhile the 1960's-1970's 289 and 302 mustang V8's only put out about 220hp if that, except the Boss 302 that was about 300 hp.. 300 hp 3.7 V6 is really more than enough.
Robert Brumley I've smoked plenty of newer V6 mustangs and Camaros with my 85 g.t. 5.0. If you make a big deal about the H.P. line it up! You'll be sorry.
Robert Brumley Yeah, even more expensive BMWs and Mercs all have BHP figures around the 300 range...I don't see anybody bitchin about that...so why hate the baby mustang? it's such a gorgeous little car...that ass with sequential tail lights, souped up fenders with tri bar pony badges, GT bumper swap with amber halos 'round the fog lights, few lowering springs and sway bars, 20" wheels, few badges and decals, may be a hash decal over fenders, some carbon fiber accents on the side mirrors and the spoiler may be and definitely a loud as f*** exhaust. Is it really going to be a car one should hate? how can they? I don't understand.
Its not all about horsepower. I agree the new V6 have much more HP than the older V8s and basically most cars. But if you ever sit in the seat of a GT and fire her up - man oh man. Theres no words you just instantly feel happy with the rumbling that surrounds you
Why does everyone hate the V6? Guess what? The Nissan GTR is a v6!!! I have never seen anyone complain that the GTR is a v6 so why complain about the Mustang beeing a v6? The orginal Mustang was only a v6 nobody complained about that!
It's because neither of those cars are a muscle car. V8's are kinda a muscle car tradition. I do agree that there's nothing wrong with a V6 muscle car though. It's just bais that haters feed on. It's not rational thought for the most part. Some people have different tastes I guess ya kno?
Just did a 500 mile round-trip with my 2013 v6: 32.7 mpg with cruise set @ 74 mph. You critics with the v8's can keep your "v8 sound", crappy mileage & high insurance rates. You floor it past me & I laugh. I'll make up the difference when you're filling your tank.
My grandpa had bought my 2013 mustang v6 back in 2012 with not even 5 miles on the car. 4 years later I have 34,000 miles and I still love this car. I will always love this car since it was the last thing I ever recived from my grandfather before his passing. 20 years from now I hope to still have this car. I may have a new everyday driver by then or even a new sports car, but I will always have an emotional attachment to my mustang. I appreciate your love for these cars and they really are misunderstood.
I don't understand why anyone hates on any car. All cars are good, if you are happy with what you drive what anyone thinks. Personally I drive a mustang now, was driving a 95 firebird that's a v6 not the 5.7 v8 I still love it like I love my v8 mustang. And I absolutely loved my 88 Cutlass cieria oldmobile with the inline 6. If you are a car person you will love all cars regardless of what's under the hood. I love all makes and models. If it goes from a-z you're doing pretty well.
I have enjoyed my 2014 V6, as well. Great to see and hear a positive review! The styling of this particular model is the best out of the bunch! I bet you that this car will appreciate in value through the years. I’ll never sell mine either!
If a v8 mustang with similar options is gonna be 10k more than a v6 and only has 100 more hp than a v6 you can get a v6 and supercharge or do a single or twin turbo and make it to where you have way more horsepower than a v8
I live in Canada and we have big winters and my v6 is the only car I have so it's perfect because with a gt it's just too much power for a all year car where I live. Although gt's are great looking and sounding cars I love my v6 just as much as I like any other mustang
I had the opportunity to drive a 2011 3.7 V6 with the 6 speed manual, and oh my lord that car was fun to redline and push through the gears. I own an older 2006 Saleen myself, but I have love for the 3.7 now that i've driven one myself.
I had a 06 v6 had 100k miles when I traded it in, nothing ever went wrong with it except it broke the clutch master cyl. other than that No issues what so ever. I have an 08 gt now, 57k miles no issues at all, honestly the way I see it a bigger beefier engine will last you quite long as long as you don't mistreat it. No burnouts, No donuts. If I were ever to burn my tires I rather do it drifting then just stupid circles. I love my GT, honestly the gas mileage is still the same as the v6. I still get 27mpg on the hwy in mine. It only sucks when I put my foot in it goes down to about 18mpg. But hey smiles per gallon, I too love driving just like you do. I go on drives aimlessly just to go explore around and enjoy driving the beast. I have a JLT cai, Pypes X, Pypes HF Cats, Pypes Bomb Axle back and 285 tires in the back, bama tuned on 89 gas for performance. I think your v6 is awesome, I love all mustangs but when I had my v6 all I wanted was that v8 growl and thats what got me to trade it for a gt and I couldn't be happier since.
Just bought a 2013 Mustang V6 Premium Pony Package In Deep Impact Blue & I absolutely love it myself. I've always loved Mustangs & i finally got to buy one as my second car
I'm 22, In the next months I'll get either the 14' V6 Mustang or a 16' V6 Camaro. My buddy just got a 12' Stang V6 and he is in love. I'll join the V6 gang soon. Haters gonna hate.
I owned a 2002 GT 5 speed and it was fun, years later I bought a 1994 V6 automatic, slapped a junkyard supercharger off a t bird supercoupe on it, shift kitted the trans and added 4:56 rear with a locker and I will tell you that was one fun car. Now looking at a 2010 V6 auto just to play around with
I have had my 14 v6 for 3 1/2 years and the only thing I have fixed was the battery that went out about 6 months ago. I tinted the windows, threw in a CAI and that it. The only thing I hate is the gear shifting from 2-3rd when high RPMs. Its a known issue that is designed to throttle drivers and fixable with a new shifter. But i love my v6, I prefer the v6 and DGAF who says what.
I've got a 02 v6, absolutely love it. I've had people telling me they could leave me at the start of the drag while they're at the finish, and then when it's the opposite, tell me either I had a false start or the lane was bad, etc.
Well said Graham! I have a 2014 V6 Premium, Race Red with stone leather interior. All I've done is add a hood scoop, rear window louvres, rear spoiler, rocker panel decals and fender hash stripes and I added the Raxiom GPS/Back Up Camera unit from American Muscle. The only other thing I'd like to do is add an aftermarket exhaust system. I think our body style is the best and I would never trade it for a 2015-2017, nor a V8! Thanks for the video!
I had a 2016 V6 Mustang and now I have a 21 Mach 1. I love them both. The one thing I can say about the V6 Mustang is that it is a great balance of power and gas mileage. Before I had my Mustang V6 I had an Accord V6. When I moved from the Accord V6 to the Mustang V6 I got a 50% increase in horsepower (from 200 to 300), and kept the same gas mileage. If you want to know what potential the Ford V6 has, just checkout what the Ford GT used to produce over 600 horsepower.
@@User-q6x3b Back in the eighties I had a 69 Mach 1, then in 2015 I got a 2016 V6 and in 2021 I got my current Mach 1. The V6 was a very good balance of power and economy. The V6 has tons of potential!
@@machdaddy6451 Mustangs offer many types of vehicles to choose from. Seems like you've experienced a wide array of them. That's great. Yes the v6 is a nice balance
My 2000 V6 was just killed in an accident. Lady blew a stop sign. Had that car for 11 years and 150,000 miles. Cried when it died. Bought a 2016 V6 and I'm in love!
I bought a 2008 Pony Package'd V6 brand new and am still driving it today. The only major surgery was a dual exhaust conversion that was purely by choice, not necessity. Everything else is original. They are super reliable. If I could I would drive this car until the day I die.
I love owning my V6. Because you get the haters and I ask them if they want a ride. Then their ass puckers off of the line not even full throttle or dumping the clutch. "Oh, it's just a V6" I say. Then they swear it's modified. I just have a 100% stock 6sp performance pack MCA special on the stock 3.31s. Just a Pypes axle back. I love mine. Sticker was 35k fully loaded with all options and recaros :) (except rear camera)
Jacob Justus Haha. Just because it has pretty much every option available. If I had bought the GT. It would have been at least 45k. For the same car. I've seen GT500s with less options than what I have on my V6. According to the production numbers. I have 1 of 38 2013 Ingot Silver MCA special editions in a manual. It was a special order.
Just bought an 06 Mustang with V6 and the Pony Package. I was driving it home and I found that I love the damn thing. Cars are cars, and even though you don't have that V8 power, you still own a Mustang that is reliable, sounds great, gets you from A-B, and has that get up and go when you need it.
Indefinite I proved all the local meat sticks wrong when I went 13.56 in the 1/4. Spinning my way out of the hole and into second. Should be lower with decent street et's and the trans brake,
Youngster543210 thats it? i know of a couple turbo 3.7 cars that are running low 11's.....so a built and blown 5.0 running 10's dont really impress me a whole lot.
Frank Castle that's a huuuuge. difference. I ran low 11's at 120 with 450 hp. It can go fastar with more boost though. its good to 900 hp I'm just on a conservative daily driven tune. But a 11.2 at 120 car would be standing still compared to 10.1 at 139. lol
Bro I feel this video a lot. I have been driving since I was 17, I am 27 now and I have a decade long clean record. I was extremely surprised when I went from my V6 to a 2017 GT that the insurance was the EXACT same price I was like WHAT??? Don't care what the haters say. I loved my V6 and it also never failed me. They're all mustangs and as long as you enjoy it and drive it for nobody else but yourself, that is all that matters
I got my v6 mustang 2 days ago and dang bruh I love her so much I never need any other car I'm the same level you are man. Also my v6 looks just like yours!
Good points! I think the Cyclone V6 will be missed when they stop offering it in the Mustang in 2018. My 2007 Mustang GT came with a 300 hp 4.6 V8. The 3.7 V6 had 300 hp and the Ecoboost 2.3 has 300 hp.
car insurance yes, brand new V8 is more expensive but maintenance NO gas, not relay, not a VERY big different, the V8 worth the extra 60 bucks a month with the same price of brand new V6, I prefer a 2 year old second hand V8 of course it is up to the driver and what he loves :) and what makes him happy as long as you are happy, that is the mot important thing, go on with your beloved V6, she loves you....... just keep loving her
Hi Graham, I'm from Germany and I've had a V6 Mustang for 3 years and I'm just as happy with the Stang as you are. My friends also always ask me why V6 and not V8. Greetings from Hamburg Germany
I drove a Mustang 1998 SN-95 V6 for 16 years, it was a really cool looking car that got a lot of good comments from strangers, took first place in many shows (over GTs of the same year) and saved me a lot of gas when I was in my lean college years. I got it up to 250,000 miles before I finally let it go.. and it was still running... No it wasn't fast like a V8 but I had dual Flowmasters on it, so it sounded good, looked good, was quick enough to beat quite a few cars at the stoplight, was very reliable, and let us not forget that if not for the sales of the V6, there very well might not be any Mustang today. Having said all that, my next one will be a V8 for sure! :-)
I had a 2000 V6 Mustang and it was super reliable. I'm looking for for new v6 but there are so many issues with 15-17 years. Do you still have this car and is it still reliable?
I don’t. Unfortunately I had a driver run a stop sign in front of me and the accident totaled this car (everyone was ok). The car had 112k miles on it though and I never had any major issues with the car. After the accident though I bought another 13 V6 with 38k miles on the clock and now have 70k miles on it. It also has had no issues. They’re EXCELLENT cars, particularly the 13-14 V6 because you get a few extra features that make the car feel a hair more modern. I’m in love with these cars and certainly believe that you can’t go wrong with them!
thank you sir! The 4.0 is definitely not a bad engine! A little under-powered unfortunately but it still likes to rev which is what matters and makes it so fun!
I love the way Ford's V6s sound mid-range, between 2500 and 4500 rpm. I have a 2002 Explorer (we affectionately call it the "Exploder") and it sounds great with just moderate throttle application. You'd better believe I take corners with it perhaps a little faster than I should - it's actually quite fun to hoon!
honestly there is alot of clips of v6 mustangs beating and giving v8's a run for the money. there is a clip of a v6 beating a gtr mustang gt500 boss 302 other gts with a super charger. so a v6 mustang has alot of potential and it all started with a v6 not a v8.
SAME! I have a s197 mustang V6. First car, use for work, go to school, etc. my insurance just got drop from 6 months of having it to $252 a month. Love this car so much. Easy to use, turns great, powerful to have fun, easy to mod, good gas mileage, easy to fix. I wish I had a v8 but I can't cause of money mainly do to my age. Love my v6 pony.
What you were saying at the end you didn’t have to drive it you just looked at it and fell in love with it. I said the same thing when I bought a 14 Mustang v6 this year. Only 6900 miles on it.
I'm close to getting either a 14 V6 premium or a 15 V6, and I plan on using the car as a daily so I'm ok with a v6 or a v8, maybe in the future I'll spend an extra 10k for the 100hp lol, but as of now v6 is still strong enough, plus I like the remote start on the 15 it's pretty cool also (my first car I'll be doing payments on) ;)
I just bought a new leftover 2017 Mustang V-6 with auto trans for $22,995. For an base trim, I was impressed with the amenities: remote start, back up camera, floor mats, and LED lights. Three years ago I bought a GMC Sierra pick up with the base trim. And it didn't come with any of these features. The major reason why I jumped on buying this Mustang was the fact that the V-6 was going away.
I have a feeling that a V6 mustang will show its face again in the near future, but I doubt it will be as accessible as the current V6 is. Good choice buying now!
I should of also included in mention of the amenities were the steering wheel controls with the voice/phone controls and two(2) trip odometers. No base trim on any other vehicle ever gives these accessible controls complete with a second trip odometer.
You fit my personality car wise to a T. There is a woman at work that calls my car a phony pony because it's not a v 8, REALLY? I told her I would take on anything she owned against mine. She has a Toyota Camry and a chevy truck but hates on my car. I like carving corners too! But I did take it to a 1/4 mile drag strip. The best time I could muster was 100 mph in 13,9 seconds. And it's a stick!! That's big block territory from the late 60's to early 70's.The very first concept Mustang in 62 was a V4. The first production Mustang a straight 6. This is the 3rd Mustang that I have owned. 87 GT and a 01 V6. I have 173,000 plus miles on her. I had to replaces tires, battery, plugs at 100,00 and a coil that went bad but that is it. Like I said what you think about your Mustang I am in TOTAL agreement with!
It's my DD I can't understand it except I change the oil at about 7 or 8,000 mile with synthetic oil. Motorcraft is the only oil goes into her. The clutch is stock also and I DO NOT baby it. Last night going to work for the 50 mile trip one way I reset the trip odometer and averaged just over 31 miles to the gallon MOSTLY running the speed limit. My car is kona Blue! Mods installed are CAI and Bama tune for 93 octane. When I first got the car if I was stopped in traffic I could her a little bit of knocking from the engine. After I put in 93 the knocking stopped. Engine has 10,5 to 1 compression, Anything over 9.5 requires hi test regardless of what Ford says it will run on 87.It will but sounds like crap under hard acceleration. And the v8's in the mustang are 11 to 1.I get better mph on 93.
Great vid. Especially the comments about cornering, operating/maintenance costs & insurance costs. Your comments are well thought out and dead on the money. I drive an 06, V6, 5 spd. The boat anchor 4.0 is bulletproof/reliable/economical. 0-60 in 6.2 seconds. Life is good.
Why don't people just enjoy a mustang? In germany it's a exotic car and everyone starts crying when they see a v6 mustang... go buy yourself a v8 and pay 100€ per week on gas 😒 i'm 22 and i just want to have fun with a exotic car without selling my lungs
I'm right with you Graham. I'm in my early 20's and I just got a 2014 v6 premium. Couldn't get a v8 because of the cost of the car and insurance, but with what I get from a premium v6 2014 model, why should I get one at an early age? I could just wait till I'm comfortable enough financially to get a v8 when I'm older. But experiencing this car right now after having it two weeks I don't think I'll be getting another one for awhile. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's a pretty nice car.
Always been a fan of the iconic Mustang and well...I just bought one! Yes it's a 2010 with a few miles on it but the experience has been great so far. I have some work to do to it, nothing major, but I'm pleased. Great video and who cares what any one thinks! I have a V6 manual and I'm loving it!
Why you shouldn't hate the v6 mustang - it comes with 305 fucking beans son. My last mustang came with 193 horsepower out of the factory like dafuq. My little 3.7 v6 mustang has beaten mustang GTs even in the 2005-2009 range, obviously. People are stupid
Just respect the fact that we don’t drive a Prius and we spend more money on insurance than some basic little civic that would even gap you if you have a v8 .a mustang is a mustang you can have fun in anything it’s not about the car is about whos behind the wheel and if they are happy or not .
Dude I know I’m 2 years late, but as a young guy who needs to replace his car and would like to own a mustang, I appreciate how you defend it. Overall it’s cheaper and affordable compared to others. Thank you!
When they ask why you got a v6 instead of a v8, ask them why they got the GT instead of the GT500... I'm sure their answer will be very similar to your's.
Justin and if they have Bugatti Just tell them why not fly a jet!
lmao good one, ima start saying that now
Justin No the gt500 is twice the price of a gt where as the gt was only like 7 grand more than a v6...
Usually the guy asking why not a V8 is driving a honda or some mom 4 door sedan. F em!
Tim Flowers no a mini van
Exactly
For real. I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone with a v8 5.0 make fun I mean I’m sure it obviously happens but you’re right it’s mostly people who don’t even HAVE a mustang or nice car
Jokes on you, I drive the most unreliable german flashy shitbox
Or a Schwinn🚲🙄
V6 or V8, it’s a mustang. Original mustangs were I6. Just respect that it’s a mustang.
That's what I'm saying!!!
i see a man of sense and knowledge, thank you
real ppl respect all cars
Facts!!! I actually just got one a couple days ago love it
Respect all builds
Yeah sorry I can't afford a GT500 I'll take my v6 with better gas mileage and more reliability.
Exactly! I'd love to have one but I'm more than happy with my V6!
mileage yes but reliability no
Mike Halve Yeah sorry I can afford the gt I'll take my 5.0 with a built motor and paxton blower making 740+ that makes more power and is way more fun to drive and I don't give a fuck about gas mileage because it only gets driven on the weekend.
amen to that.. i don't understand why ppl have some sort of hate towards ppl who own a v6 mustang?
BIGBABYKAVE44 it matters. justify it all you want. automatic v6... get a Camry
brice cate you have a mustang?
Agreed. I just love they way they look, if I was serious about speed, Id get a Challenger SRT, Mustang 350, or their coked up airhead gfs to give me some sloppy toppy while im on the go!
brice cate oh yeah so instead of getting a great looking sporty car 305 horsepower stock get a 4 door grocery getter with 160 horsepower makes sense
OSU Buckeyes v6 camrys actually make 300 hp lol
Hey I love mustangs, pull up to me in any year mustang v6 or ecoboost and I'll love you're car!!! I own a 2013 GT track pack but I won't hate on a v6 I still love mustangs!! I don't hate on mustangs!!!!
Good man! Your GT sounds like a beast!
I hate V6 Mustangs but I would never insult a person for buying one that is just wrong.
PrepToGetRekt I’ll talk shit about the mustangs with the eco boost name but I still like them now you pull up in a 69 Mach 1 hell yeah I’ll do anything just to touch one
Absolute Longplay ok now why do you hate them they have a lot of good
The reason I got one “other than the fact that my dad bought it for me” is I don’t want to go fast but I want some power I don’t want a Ford Focus but I don’t want a viper
V6 Gang !
Whoop whoop
Gang
You are fockin pussys honestly
People give me ahit for my 2014 v6, and they say why not a V8 while pointing to a 2005 mustang V8, which literally has 5 more hp than mine 😂
my mustang has a v6 from an explorer in it and funny how many times i've surprised people
really upsets me that Ford changed the body. 2011-14 was perfect.
Agreed!
LOL
Isn't that body style also on the 2010?
Bodystyle, yes. Engine, no.
Misdirecting I think they both look great
V6 is actually the smartest and dare I say, most practical, buy. MPG is also acceptable.
We don't buy mustangs for practicality. I always hated this argument and when I had my V6 refrained from using it always. A mustang is not practical. It is a monster designed to pull - and give you many smiles per gallon
@@DavyDave1313 actually the first mustang was...
@@DavyDave1313 "short-dip dick stick" IFTFY
DavyDave1313 Some people want a mustang that’s more practical.
Well... they can not get that rebadged SUV lol
05 v6 stang and 2011-2013 stang is two different worlds.
@@sleepyfribble entirely. The 3.7 v6 is the best v6 motor Ford has ever made for the mustang but I believe that 3.7 v6 goes up to 2014 or 2015
Don't listen to the haters. The V6 has tons of potential.
Remember the V6 is what they put into the Ford GT, which won the Le Mans in 2016.
@@airborne16723.7 goes up til 2017, after that it was either the 2.3 or 5.0
I feel that there is nothing wrong with owning a v6 mustang, its a legendary vehicle to own and be apart of the community. If a V8 owner disses a V6 well they are a hypocrite. Ford made a v6 since 1964 so anyone can own one to join the Icon Mustang World. V8 owners need to understand, its not power, its the legend behind the Mustang. Stop hating and be proud that the mustang community is growing year after year
The 1964 Mustang was NOT a V6, it was a straight 6.
Mustangs have a long history but i personally love the way they look. Challengers are sexy too but look too bulky for my taste. Camaros were great in the 90s and early 2000s but nowadays they look like pimped put Chrisler 300s. The Pontiacs look more like toyota camrys than muscle cars.
and continuing into 2024, unlike other muscle cars
@@fredgrove4220 bruh same shit tbh 😂 basically lol
You shouldn't hate any car. It's one thing to not like a car or for a car to not be your style/taste; but to say you "hate" a car is so immature.
WTF i opened this shit and right away told myself im not reading all this, still not byyeee
@@t-rexdabeast7787 same lol
I love em too
I personaly love the way they look.
Nice read
not everyone needs or even wants a v8. let the haters hate & buy the car THEY want.after tons of deep research, i bought the car i wanted.& it does NOT have a v8. for me, & my needs the v6 was the correct decision.after several years, i still stand by my decision.its all the engine i need.
i am going to get a v6 mustang
Do it! You won't regret it!
You should get a V8
if you can afford a v8 go for it
i have a 2015 mustang v6 with a manual transmition
i let go a 2013 gt because it was "old" and i was happy to have the newer model
but honestly if i could go back in time
i would for sure have gotten the gt
the exhaust and the performance is no comparison with the v6
v6 is a fun car but after driving a v8
man its a different animal
Get a tune and cold air intake package. They really help make the car feel like it has 300 horsepower.
Hey get what you want
Reminds when i drive my scatpack nearly everyone asks me why don't you get a hellcat. Well, a hellcat is not cheap. Second, 707hp is way too much for me to daily use . Also it's a huge deal on gases and insurance. As long as you're happy then that's a good car for you, keep on!
Thanks for sharing! It's always great to hear others' stories! Glad you enjoy your scatpak! I'm sure it's a beast!
My thinking is: When you go Mustang, go V8. But... if you're on a smaller budget, and really want a Mustang, the V6 really isn't so bad. In my book I'll take it any day instead of the four banger.
Daniel Groulx not even a 4 banger turbo that would smoke a v6 and v8?
isnt the 4 cylinder more expensive though the new ones
see thats just another version of hate you are creating. "at least its not one of those ecobooths(ecoboost I know)." It is completely unnecessary.
I love my 2017 Mustang EcoBoost premium. It's a great car. I love all Mustangs but didn't want a V8 even though I could afford one. So many options for so many tastes. Just love them all !
not true in my life i had tons of Mustang at the moment i own an 96 with low miles with some ad on's and it out runs most v8's
I hope Ford will bring it back some day
Lol, if they did put a turbo on the v6 they would lose sales on the v8, so I don't think they would do that.
The first 1964 1/2 had an in-line 6
This video made me feel more proud of my V6! I watched the review of your car and it convinced me to buy my first Mustang back in June c:
That's epic! Hope you're enjoying it as much as I do mine!
Northwind000 how do you have many subs with no videos?
Northwind000 man the v6 doesn't play its like a baby v8 with how much power it has stock on top of that it can hold more pressure so you could boost it and probably beat a lot of v8's
im 18 years old and bought my first mustang a few months ago. growing up I always was drawn to mustangs, now i finally have one, its a 1999 35th anniversary with the 3.8 v6, i have had some mixed feelings about it lately because of people talking bad about them and this video gave me a big boost in owning a v6 mustang
Be proud of what you drive! The 3.8 is a nice car.
ThunderThighs You can absolutely take advantage of 420 hp. 420 ain't shit
+Youngster543210 why don't you take a look at some mustang week vids
The reasons for a V6 Mustang are spot on. 2014 pony package was a bargain at $27k, and is still a Mustang. Definitely more livable as a daily driver.
305 hp, 280 lbs torque, 0-60 in 5.2 sec (4.6 gt times) what is the problem lol
I have a 2011 5.0 and I dnt hate on anyone who has the 3.7. It is a great engine and is faster then most cars on the road.
Thanks for being a good, reasonable person and also for the support!
i have a 2010 V6 4.0 Manual procharged
Technically you do have a 2008 v8 mustang. It has more HP than one anyway. So you can hate on older mustang owners if they hate on you.
Just want to thank everyone for the awesome feedback on this video! I love hearing about all of your cars and all of your opinions! Stay awesome!
Jerry Pierce make a video of it
Jerry Pierce I have a black mca 2012 full boltons and I'm beating gt guys and they hate it😂
Kyle Flynn : hey it's Jerry, I too have an mca 2014 v6 with bolt ons.
Just not an ‘05 mustang v6 with 115k miles on it and it is a stick. First car to learn as a stick and I’m 16 as well, picking it up tomorrow!
Glad you both love your cars!
cars are soooooo cheap in the USA ! I think I am going to buy one in the US and drive it over next time around. I have a gorgeous 2010 v6 that I paid $11,000 for. Her name is betsy , she is my mistress :)
The V6 in this car was designed by Porche and Cosworth. It is a great motor, with over 300 horse power. Very good motor.
Cool facts to learn!
Yes this is a special V6! Not just a normal Ford explorer V6
i own a 2011 mustang 5.0 v8 but i still dont hate on the v6 i bought the v8 because it was for sale in the city i live in.
both the v6 and v8 are insane engines so dont hate on the v6 :)
I have a 2014 v6 full bolt ons and plan on getting a 5.0 once paid off but will never get rid of my v6 just too good of a car.
Awesome to hear! Glad you love your car!
Theres no words you just instantly feel happy with the rumbling that surrounds you
@@DavyDave1313 Absolutely!

Okay boomer
Why does everyone hate the V6? Guess what? The Nissan GTR is a v6!!! I have never seen anyone complain that the GTR is a v6 so why complain about the Mustang beeing a v6? The orginal Mustang was only a v6 nobody complained about that!
Reuploded Bass Boost ford gt is also a v6
It's because neither of those cars are a muscle car. V8's are kinda a muscle car tradition. I do agree that there's nothing wrong with a V6 muscle car though. It's just bais that haters feed on. It's not rational thought for the most part. Some people have different tastes I guess ya kno?
The wrx is a v4😂
They hate it because for a "muscle car" it "has a v6". It's not that it has a v6 in itself. It's puritan gatekeeping.
the wrx is a flat 4 not a v4
Im 20, and just got my 2016 v6. I relate to this vid so much.
That's why I decided to make this video! We're under appreciated! On a side note, I hope you're enjoying your new car!
Lol nahh some of us actually move out, and work hard for our own things. You'll get there.
finish line Uu lease
Ac Pi all you gotta do is make above minimum wage and you can easily afford a mustang a V6 anyway
Chandler McGowan I'm 18, v6 06 mustang and I love her
Just did a 500 mile round-trip with my 2013 v6: 32.7 mpg with cruise set @ 74 mph. You critics with the v8's can keep your "v8 sound", crappy mileage & high insurance rates. You floor it past me & I laugh. I'll make up the difference when you're filling your tank.
Mike Ill happily pay my 65 dollar monthy insurance rate for my 748 rwhp.
Youngster543210 cause you are probably old lol
Carlos Flores I'm 24. I reckon I'm old to some people lol
liability aint worth it
Youngster543210 uhm how 65 I need to know.
Thanks for sharing your story with me/us! It's always awesome to hear things like this! I hope you continue to enjoy your Mustang as I do mine!
There’s this 2012 V6 available near me with one owner low miles for a deal. I may just buy it
If a v8 mustang with similar options is gonna be 10k more than a v6 and only has 100 more hp than a v6 you can get a v6 and supercharge or do a single or twin turbo and make it to where you have way more horsepower than a v8
That's what i plan to do and my insurance is gonna stay low :)
The beauty of a Mustang V-6 is that most people are uniformed and don't know a V-6 from an Ecoboost to a V-8. Only us Mustang people know for sure.
I’m 16 And I’m gonna get a 2014 V6 Mustang :)
Same😊
I live in Canada and we have big winters and my v6 is the only car I have so it's perfect because with a gt it's just too much power for a all year car where I live.
Skl1cent 🙏
Haha I love the growl , but I'll take a v6 to save money . My fiance is taking my 06 v6 , and I don't wanna make her jealous by me getting a gt .
No joke , 2 weeks ago i drove my 06 v6 from fort worth tx, to myrtle beach sc , and I kid you not , I averaged 29.9 mpg .
The way you talk about your v6 makes me love mines even more. Good video 👍
Thank you!
Jorge Alejandro I have a 14’ v6 mustang with quite a few mods and I absolutely love it.
SOOO You got it or what???
I owned a 2002 GT 5 speed and it was fun, years later I bought a 1994 V6 automatic, slapped a junkyard supercharger off a t bird supercoupe on it, shift kitted the trans and added 4:56 rear with a locker and I will tell you that was one fun car. Now looking at a 2010 V6 auto just to play around with
Finally, someone with some sense
I have had my 14 v6 for 3 1/2 years and the only thing I have fixed was the battery that went out about 6 months ago. I tinted the windows, threw in a CAI and that it. The only thing I hate is the gear shifting from 2-3rd when high RPMs. Its a known issue that is designed to throttle drivers and fixable with a new shifter. But i love my v6, I prefer the v6 and DGAF who says what.
I have the V6 2016 Mustang and I LOVE IT!
Great job on your post!
I've got a 02 v6, absolutely love it. I've had people telling me they could leave me at the start of the drag while they're at the finish, and then when it's the opposite, tell me either I had a false start or the lane was bad, etc.
I've got a 2002 V6, too, and I asbolutely love it, as well.
Bought 2013 used 27K miles for 16K) for my 19 year old son, he loves it I love it!
I’m glad someone agrees with me. I have a 2010 v6 mustang with 184507 miles not a mechanical problem yet. I only had to change sensors on the tires.
if it has the mustang badge i respect the drivers choice😭
Well said Graham! I have a 2014 V6 Premium, Race Red with stone leather interior. All I've done is add a hood scoop, rear window louvres, rear spoiler, rocker panel decals and fender hash stripes and I added the Raxiom GPS/Back Up Camera unit from American Muscle. The only other thing I'd like to do is add an aftermarket exhaust system. I think our body style is the best and I would never trade it for a 2015-2017, nor a V8! Thanks for the video!
I have a 2005 Ford Mustang V6 Ford has discontinued the V6 engines thanks for the video
The Machs are great cars. I had an 03 for around 16 years. I have a v6 now (3.7).
The v6 is a great engine👍
Your '21 Mach must be beautiful
@@User-q6x3b Back in the eighties I had a 69 Mach 1, then in 2015 I got a 2016 V6 and in 2021 I got my current Mach 1. The V6 was a very good balance of power and economy. The V6 has tons of potential!
@@machdaddy6451 Mustangs offer many types of vehicles to choose from. Seems like you've experienced a wide array of them. That's great. Yes the v6 is a nice balance
The v6 mustangs are real reliable cars, my 2000 Mustang v6 already hit 200k miles and still going strong.
Glad to hear it! That's epic!
If I could I would drive this car until the day I die.
had the same one, super reliable
I love owning my V6. Because you get the haters and I ask them if they want a ride. Then their ass puckers off of the line not even full throttle or dumping the clutch. "Oh, it's just a V6" I say. Then they swear it's modified. I just have a 100% stock 6sp performance pack MCA special on the stock 3.31s. Just a Pypes axle back.
I love mine. Sticker was 35k fully loaded with all options and recaros :)
(except rear camera)
Sounds like you've got yourself an awesome car!
Victor Andrade 35k!!?? Your nuts, only reason I got a v6 is because i paid 22k new
Jacob Justus Haha.
Victor Andrade make a video of it
TwinkieFanboy Sure. Check back on my page in about a week or two. If I dont. Remind me.
I have a 2005 six cylinder mustang, first car and I am eighteen. I got her for $2500 nothing wrong with it
Dann that's a deal
Dang bro I got like the same car for the same price, it's a red 2005 V6 manual, I love it
Just bought an 06 Mustang with V6 and the Pony Package. I was driving it home and I found that I love the damn thing. Cars are cars, and even though you don't have that V8 power, you still own a Mustang that is reliable, sounds great, gets you from A-B, and has that get up and go when you need it.
Exactly! Thanks for sharing! Glad you're enjoying your car👍
Stock V6 auto with only a tune runs mid to low 13's.
Ask me how I know.
Frank Castle how you know?
Indefinite I proved all the local meat sticks wrong when I went 13.56 in the 1/4.
Spinning my way out of the hole and into second.
Should be lower with decent street et's and the trans brake,
Frank Castle a 748 whp built and blown 5.0 can go 10.1 at 138 mph. Ask me how I know.
They're all mustangs and as long as you enjoy it and drive it for nobody else but yourself, that is all that matters
just bought my first car today... it was a 2014 ford mustang v6 pony edition ;)
I got my v6 mustang 2 days ago and dang bruh I love her so much I never need any other car I'm the same level you are man. Also my v6 looks just like yours!
I love my 2017 mustang v6. looking forward to procharging it in about a year or two
Good points! I think the Cyclone V6 will be missed when they stop offering it in the Mustang in 2018. My 2007 Mustang GT came with a 300 hp 4.6 V8. The 3.7 V6 had 300 hp and the Ecoboost 2.3 has 300 hp.
car
insurance
yes, brand new V8 is more expensive
but maintenance NO
gas, not relay, not a VERY big different, the V8 worth the extra 60 bucks a month
with the same price of brand new V6, I prefer a 2 year old second hand V8
of course it is up to the driver and what he loves :) and what makes him happy
as long as you are happy, that is the mot important thing, go on with your beloved V6, she loves you....... just keep loving her
Hi Graham, I'm from Germany and I've had a V6 Mustang for 3 years and I'm just as happy with the Stang as you are.
My friends also always ask me why V6 and not V8.
Greetings from Hamburg Germany
u r right bro , i plann to buy a v6 too,
Do it! You'll love it!
I'm gonna get me I 2013 mustang v6 too 305 hp is enough for me too, your video was useful to get more excite it to buy me one
Graham Cain thanks for the info, I’m sure will start looking for one.
Utmost respect to you. I️ have an 06 V6 and even with 210 horsepower it feels peppy and it’s great.
thank you sir! The 4.0 is definitely not a bad engine! A little under-powered unfortunately but it still likes to rev which is what matters and makes it so fun!
Roberto Machuca those 4.0’s are nice too. Any time I see one on the road I never know what I might get myself into.
True! A lot of people don't realize that the original Mustang was an I-6, not a V8!
And they stopped making Stangs with V6's because they are so good
I have a base 2014 manual performance package as my daily driver. It's been the highlight of my life for 3 years.
Awesome! Glad you're enjoying yours as much as I do mine!
If you look closely, this v6 engine seems to be pretty nice and it has a lot of potential. Nice car
What you were saying at the end you didn’t have to drive it you just looked at it and fell in love with it. I said the same thing when I bought a 14 Mustang v6 this year. Only 6900 miles on it.
I'm close to getting either a 14 V6 premium or a 15 V6, and I plan on using the car as a daily so I'm ok with a v6 or a v8, maybe in the future I'll spend an extra 10k for the 100hp lol, but as of now v6 is still strong enough, plus I like the remote start on the 15 it's pretty cool also (my first car I'll be doing payments on) ;)
Awesome! Both cars are great and you'll love either one!
Estio504 the 2014s are nice but the 15s look very modern and sexy and imo turns more heads.
That's awesome! How's she running after so many miles? I'm glad to know that the reliability is truly that fantastic! Also, thanks for your feedback!
And the v8's in the mustang are 11 to 1.I get better mph on 93.

just bought a 94 5.0 and love it been a fan of the mustang for a long time
Nice piece man ... Good job
Thank you!
In germany it's a exotic car and everyone starts crying when they see a v6 mustang... go buy yourself a v8 and pay 100€ per week on gas 😒 i'm 22 and i just want to have fun with a exotic car without selling my lungs
the car has 300hp what is there to hate, people who hate can't even afford themselves hahaha America 😀
Truth! 300hp is plenty of power! I never have felt like I NEED more power (wanted more, sure! Everyone does! But definitely do not need more)!
Yeah. I think the 90s 5.0 mustangs had like 225 HP. Albeait probably lighter but still.
@@jonathanvillalba3214 the 1996 5.0 makes around 215. Which isnt bad for the year

Jacob Jarvis my 3.7 it’s the best I had it for 6 months it has been a journey but 2013 3.7 dogging that 2012 4.0
Always been a fan of the iconic Mustang and well...I just bought one! Yes it's a 2010 with a few miles on it but the experience has been great so far. I have some work to do to it, nothing major, but I'm pleased. Great video and who cares what any one thinks! I have a V6 manual and I'm loving it!
Glad to hear it! The 4.0 is incredibly reliable. You’ll enjoy it!
Thank you for backing me up!👍
Just tired of the BS that comes with owning a v6 stang lol
Amen! Hence the video.
Just respect the fact that we don’t drive a Prius and we spend more money on insurance than some basic little civic that would even gap you if you have a v8 .a mustang is a mustang you can have fun in anything it’s not about the car is about whos behind the wheel and if they are happy or not .
I love my v6 that out sells the v8 Mustang
Coolbreeze4u2 I love my v8 that makes 748 rwhp with a paxton 2200 and built motor.
Cool I will wave at you when I pass you at the gas station.
Damn... 😂😂😂
Youngster543210 needs to learn he ain't shit.
@Trumpis God Yeah it was.
Dude I know I’m 2 years late, but as a young guy who needs to replace his car and would like to own a mustang, I appreciate how you defend it. Overall it’s cheaper and affordable compared to others. Thank you!
it as 305 hp
