Nice!!! Reminds me of the Honda and Acura with electronic shifters. I have the tool for the Hondas and Acuras but don’t know if there’s one for Nissan. You can do the same method on the Hondas and Acuras and use a zip tie to hold the wrench. I like that spoke tool cause it fits perfect. Good job! 💪💪
We've towed a few Range Rovers that are same/similar scenario, as well as a newer Buick, Enclave if I'm not mistaken... Spring loaded neutral override, not fun haha!
@@WilcoxGarageRecovery yup the range rovers are like that. Some you can hold the paddle on the steering wheel and the gear selector will pop up and allow you to shift.
@@bigrig4385 if the vehicle has power you can get them off and if not you’ll need to feed power to the electronic motor to disengage them. Another way would be to unbolt the electronic motor from the brake calipers and remove them but I don’t do that cause I don’t wanna get blamed for anything later.
Unfortunately, many of the newer vehicles on the road today have transitioned to electronic shifters, which many times leads to more work involved with towing them. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Getting a brake and rotor job became a chore trying to find the correct parts because of the supply shortage on my 19 altima with electronic parking brake. Talk about difficult!!!
That's awesome I gotta remember that. I have ran into a few of the new cars that have electronic parking brake that's locked on after it was wrecked. Any good advice to release one of them?
The electronic parking brakes seem to be a whole different barrel of problems! We have not had any luck with figuring out how to remove them....we normally just put wheel skates under and winch them onto the rollback. Thanks for the feedback 👍🏻
would that work for the 2021 nissan rogue as well? Didn't know this would happen with the car....really inconvenient when battery is dead and you gotta get car outta the garage!
Not sure for that one, but would guess that it would be similar if the shifter function was similar to the Pathfinder. The newer and more electronics that we are seeing in these vehicles, the more common things like this are becoming.
Thank you had an infinity qx60 and couldn’t find anything, but this worked
Thanks for posting this! Totally saved our bacon today when the car wouldn't start and needed to get loaded on a flatbed.

Do either of you guys know how to turn off the electronic parking brake once you get it into neutral?

@@TowMan127 thanks man. You're a legend on here!
This video does a very good job of helping convince me to never purchase a new car......

This is great, thank you! 2nd question, does anyone know how to release the electronic parking brake as well?
That is unfortunately one we have yet to figure out 😂
Yes all transmissions now are switching to electric.
Evolution I believe
Electronic shifter is the worst thing to happen to cars
100% Agree!
Where’s the inertia switch? Please help
Unfortunately I don't know the answer to that
