I didn't tell Nicole how much our Hydro Flasks were until she loved how cold they kept her water, haha. This was a great comparative video concept - so far we've been pretty happy with most of the Ozark Trail stuff we have, especially our coolers!
I have the 30 oz Yeti and it’s the best. Have had mine in cab of 1989 truck, in the August heat, for 8 hours and it still had ice cube and the drink was really cold. You can’t beat it!
I was surprised at the difference in the two cups. But, who lets their drinks (hot or cold) sit for 4 or 5 hours? Yes, I know it was a test. Good job. Enjoying your videos. We have Contico cups and never tested them, but they kept our drinks cold for a Looooooooooong time in the Dominican Republic on the beach in the summer.
I fill my Yeti up right before the coffee pot cuts off and that will let me have warm coffee up to 4 hours later...and sometimes I need that coffee hit after lunch. Love my all my Yetis
Glad to hear someone needing it to last a few hours. Many comments say “who needs it to last 4 hours?” But there are certainly times where that is necessary.
The Ozark trail cup used to be way better but than the Yeti. I bought multiple Ozarks 2-3 years ago and about 3 weeks ago I bought another. Unfortunately, the Ozark metal has gotten thinner. The thicker version could keep ice and water or hot liquids good for hours.
I have had the Ozarks before and I have had ice last longer in heat than this did, and I'm talking 8 hours or more. Still I've had a lot of these kinds of cups. The temp. of the beverage before it goes into the cup with ice matters for results. I think there was a difference in how everything was done. I don't know, I just feel confused as I've seen people do these comparisons before and the ozark holds up just fine. Maybe it's the ice, maybe it's another factor I can't identify. Still just wondering. I've never had a yeti, but if I ever spend that much money on a cup, I will know I have lost it. I'm obsessed with cups, but for me personally I can't justify spending that. More power to those who can spend that. I admit I have considered it though. But I wish the lid was different. I hate spills. Oh checkout the Extremus cups.. they are strange but cool. Still good video. This is the first video of yours I've ever seen.
#Yeti. I have a “Built” cup from Walmart (I think it was around $10) and I use it everyday for water. I can let ice in it when I go to bed and most mornings there is still ice when I get up. I’m curious about the cooler test. We have a “cheap” Coleman and it doesn’t do well at all!!
Love our Yeti cooler. We have gone camping and the Yeti always kept food cold or even still frozen on some extremely hot days! Our other coolers melted so much quicker...
#YETI. Thanks for showing the difference in performance of yeti vs ozark. Looking forward to your next video on the Yeti cooler. Almost bought one on sale.
Well this answer my long asked question, why would someone spend so much on a cooler or a Tumblr. Also I never knew you guys were from Pennsylvania! Small world, I'm about an hour north of Pittsburgh. You guys should do a campground review at Frontier Town in Ocean City, Maryland.
Nice, good to make new friends in PA, thank you we have been wanting to go to Frontier Town in Ocean City, Maryland. We have been trying to connect to get permission to shoot there but we haven't heard back. Hopeful we can visit this year.
I love you sweater Fawn! Where did you get it. Love you UA-cam videos- we do our camping in Michigan, many places to camp in our state. We have a 2020 Sportsman Hybrid RV, made by Forest River, we love it and can’t wait for Spring to get here so we can hit the road. Happy Camping 😀😉🙃🙂
I have both an Ozark Trail and a Yeti tumbler. Definitely the Ozark Trail is an every day use for work. But I do agree with Fawn that the Yeti, hands down, is a camping MUST for sipping on a cold drink. Great video as always guys.
After thinking about this a few days, I guess the question is, how often do you take more than a couple hours to drink your coffee or cold drink? If I'm drinking coffee, it's gone in a half hour. I've filled my thermal cup up with ice and tea in the morning and when I come home at night I still have ice in my cup after refilling with water a couple of times. If a cheaper, $7 cup can do that and keep my coffee hot while I drink it, am I really getting any benefit from a $30 cup...?
We’re glad to hear you have really thought this through lol We agree that day to day many don’t need a $30 mug to keep drinks for so long but some extreme temps do make a difference. Also we agree with the ice lasting. That’s what we like about it, we can refresh our soda or tea without refreshing the ice.
Is it a fail though? Its like testing insulated shot glasses. Im sure either will stay at temp during the normal duration of how long most people will take to drink that amount.
Fun video. I have some of both products. Ozark trail is fine for the money. Yeti is super expensive but is definitely better quality and performer. If spending several hundred bucks on a small cooler isn't your thing then I get it, buy the ozark if that you.
Thank you! We agree that with it isn’t always necessary to have the top of the line and some lower priced items do the job just fine, depending on your needs.
Fun video. Disappointed Ozark performed the way it did but not surprised. Either way 100% worth the $7. Just got my first Yeti so hopefully it doesn’t convert me.
I have a 125 yeti and I also 55 ozark trail. The ozark trail is fine. But its not as good as my rtic or yeti. The screws have all come lose and its just not as well built. Like it said it works fine for the money. But not the yeti in terms of quality. Or the rtic for that matter.
@@elev8torguy130 for the price of the yeti cooler you might as well go for a small car refrigerator/freezer I think they start out around 300 dollars. I'm taking actual refrigerators with compressors.
#Yeti is the one to buy. We will go out and buy for next camping season Thanks for the video. My wife and I both enjoy and laugh some also. Thank for the videos and laughs, need them for sure.
#IWANTAYETI. We loved this video, thank you for the time you put into it. We live in Alberta mountains and coffee is always seeming to get cold quick. We had a simular one but thought the yeti was the same you proved it’s the ultimate.
Thank you for the comparison. I am actually not surprised as I have an Ozark trails and it doesn’t seem to keep the temps as well as my Hydroflask. #YETI
New Subscriber here from Maine! I am a night shift nurse. In our home, we have both of the mugs you tested. Half way thru my 12 hour shift, my coffee is still warm in the Ozark mug which I am ok with considering I purchased them on sale for $3.99. Thank you for the test. Loved your happy review! #Yeti
Fellow Pennsylvanians here and fans of your channel. We also like Manna water bottles. Keeps water ice cold for over 24 hrs. No travel lid though. Wouldn't mind trying the #Yeti 😁 just won't let my hubby have it because he has lost one too many off the car roof at gas stations.
#YETI - Great test. I didn’t expect Ozark Trail to fail so miserably but as you said, may still have its place in the world of insulated drinking cups!
I subscribe to several RV UA-cam sites but I love RV East Coast by far the best. I love the laid back reviews and pointers the two of you give. Can't wait until Fawn lets you get the 5th Wheeler! Also, the humor is killer...love it. Oh yeah...#YETI
I feel like you guys fudged this somehow. I have yeti and Ozark trail tumblers, and when I leave them both in my car on a hot michigan summer day they both have the same amount of ice left in them.
I appreciate this video...because I have been very skeptical about spending SO much money and jumping on the Yeti bandwagon...but clearly it is worth it!
A lot of people said the same thing. Our only argument is that sometimes you do want your ice to last and it make a difference when your ice isn’t melting and ruining your drink or you can refresh your drink and still have ice.
#yeti Love your videos! My husband got a yeti for Christmas from work. He loves his! I was debating on spending the extra money to get a yet for myself. You've convinced me!
#yeti I have wondered about these two in comparison. Thanks for doing it. I am also looking forward to the cooler comparison. I need a new cooler. Thanks!
#yeti, it would be interesting to do a version with hydro flask. I had Ozark trail mugs and rehomed them, but I do love my hydro flasks! Maybe yeti is even better.
#yeti. I was surprised are the results. I thought they would have been more comparable. I guess I can now justify that one good Yeti mug. Great review.
I enjoy your videos. Like you I have enough of Cups mugs coolers Growlers and everything else you can think of to drink out of. But it was a good 20 minutes of my time spent watching

I just don't let my coffee or any cold beverage sit for hours. #Yeti # Jetty for Eli 😆 Their coolers work great for keeping things cold in the heat but pricey unless you do long trips and need that cold storage.
#yeti I have both and honesty they work about the same for me. We have more Ozarks just because the difference isn’t really worth the extra 23 bucks. I have done a summer car test where my ozark held more ice after 8 hours in 90 degree heat.
That was a great video. I was rooting for the underdog though. #yeti I have the “fake” Yeti and always thought they worked pretty good until your experiment showed the difference 👍🏻 great job

Great video. The results surprised me. I've watched other videos where the results were much closer, but yeti still squeaked out a win. I use the Magellan (Academy's Store brand) or the Ozark trail cups at home. Might need to splurge on a yeti now. #yeti.
Yeah most drinks don’t last that long for us either. We do have the 32oz ones and one thing we do like is that ice doesn’t melt fast so our drinks aren’t watered down or when we refresh it, still plenty of ice.
No experience with the Yeti ( wife’s a cheapskate, cough, cough).... but we’ve left the Ozark with ice out on counter all day with no top and had ice left the next morning and driven all day from GA to NJ and had coffee still warm to end of the journey. The wife wins
We are new to your channel and love all the episodes-we are from the Tri-state area and love all of your reviews! This was a great experiment:) #Iwanttheyeti
I'm with you Eli. I always want to see the cheaper one do just as well or better, but it looks like Yeti is the clear winner. However, I can buy a lot of ice for $23! But if it's free, I'll take #yeti #yeti #yeti.

Same been ozark fan for a while now and no complaints I drink my coffee on 1 hour period so dont need more than that just saying 😭
Nice experiment but what about if you swap the lids and redo the test so see if theres any difference maybe favorable for Yeti or Ozark
Never had a Yeti. We use Contigo. My husband will make hot tea in it in the morning & still have hot tea 8 hours later. Worth the price.
Yeah those are pretty good too... Oh man, I am just realizing that we are tumblers junkies 😂
The yetis are worth it for the lid! I’ve tried many inexpensive options and the lids don’t hold up! Loved the video! 💕
Good to find someone that agrees with us. Quality wins this time!

Great video and great hosts! #Yeti
Thank you Captain Mike ☺️

@@RVEastCoast Eli's accent reminds me of my mother she is form cuba and it is so cute. Keep up the good job.

I'm with you Eli. I always want to see the cheaper one do just as well or better, but it looks like Yeti is the clear winner. However, I can buy a lot of ice for $23! But if it's free, I'll take #yeti #yeti #yeti.
