The attempt has been ok however after seeing static x many times from ozzfest to shows of there own with wayne i seen this version of static x and it doesnt compare without wayne
Seeing as how dope toured with Static X for so many years, I'd imagine Edsel probably had a pretty good idea of how to act just like Wayne. They actually do have pretty close voices.
From certain angles, he looks exactly like Wayne. The lights flicker and it's like one second it's xero, then the next he looks like Wayne again. Evil disco lives on. R.I.P Wayne. 🤟
Michael Dulong dude. I saw them when they came through Nashville, you could feel Wayne’s energy in the building when they took the stage and it just felt natural. XerO is doing an awesome job at the helm.
I've seen Static-X several times live back in the day. I consider Wayne to be irreplaceable, however, it's clear Xero and the rest of the band are doing this in honor of him. I think it's awesome and they sound great. I would go see this current lineup.
Not only does he do an incredible job of sounding and acting like Wayne, it’s great to see the band playing together again. I kinda miss Nick but it’s rad to see Ken.
They are amazing. I had the pleasure of seeing Wayne twice with Static-X then once as Pighammer. I also saw Xer0 live a few months ago and it honestly brought some tears to my eyes because his movements look just like Wayne's. It didn't feel like he was gone
I saw static x once here in Finland... I was like 15 and too dumb to appreciate their music. Became a fan two years later. When I heard about Wayne's death I was in shock. They have so many good songs..... New pain, So, Just In Case, Black and white, Cold, I'm the one, Night Terrors...
Damn I got chills everywhere how accurate Edsel voice was. For a while I was losing my mind. I thought Wayne didn't passed away. He just left and have a peace of mind. Edsel did a great job though
The bands that have unfortunately lost lead singers are numerous. The ones that have made a comeback with a new singer are very few. Static X has added to that. Would love to see these guys live at a festival. Great job guys.
Listening to this after hearing everyone on Reddit try and tell me the rise of the machine show I went to was lip synced is honestly amazing. Edsel has been doing Wayne and evil disco justice since the first show he was with them, crazy.
Nobody can ever truly replace Wayne. That man was an amazing musician. This is very nice though and I am super excited to hear the new album. Static X will always hold a special place in my heart and Would love to see them again.

Fan-FUCKEN-tastic!! I got goosebumps!! Amazing show/performance/tribute to honor Wayne Static's legacy and commemorate the 20th year anniversary of WISCONSIN DEATH TRIP. I know Wayne's looking down at every single performance with a huge grin screaming, "LOUDER!!" Love & Respect BROTHER! Thank you for your contribution to my life Wayne.
Apparently, I must have been completely clueless when this happened. I had no idea that Static-X was back. I guess living in Hawaii has its disadvantages sometimes. We are so out of loop with the scene. At first I was taken aback when I saw the death mask but after seeing his performance as Xero, I have much respect for the band and what they have done here. Really hits you hard. Wayne will never be replaced but I love how they are honoring him.
Saw them at the Tampa show. What Wayne did for metal was amazing and genius. R.I.P. Thank you Edsel (Xero) for carrying on the Static-x name. Love the guys in static-x.
Got to see this live, I would be to the left and further back from the person recording this. I can't even begin to tell you how much better it was than this videos shows.
Now that I watch this with headphones that's definitely Desel it's almost sounds like a Dope cover at times, @7:42 and @8:05 when you can actually hear his mic.
This sounds ALOT like Edsel Dope, I really hope they will unveil Xer0's identity when touring is over :) Edsel would be the best "replacement" for Wayne
Mathias Larsen if you listen to the speaking voice of Xer0 you can kind of hear Edsels singing voice. May sound weird, but if you get the chance to hear that somewhere, someday, try to listen to it. I really think it is Edsel. But all we can do now is wait for the confermation
I think Xer0 does an excellent job, but I do miss Wayne's live showmanship where he'd switch places with Fukuda and Campos giving the crowd a closer experience. Wayne just seemed more athletic and energetic in live performances. That energy is irreplaceable but still a great tribute.

Haunting (like a living body without a head. It's technicaaly the same/similar body... but it's missing its head...) and beautiful at the same time/. It's quite easy to replace drummer, bassist, guitarist, etc. (less noticeable, easier to replicate/hide in music etc.) but when the singer is gone... The majority of the band's soul goes with it... unfortunately. A copy will always be a copy. Even when it's "better" than the original. It's still a copy./ I also understand the rest of the band and everyone else who wanted/wants to relive that nostalgic time, play/listen live etc. Not hating or anything. His hair looks a little goofy but sounds good but Wayne static was the real deal. R.I.P. Wayne static was the real electric head no one else can come close.⚡

This literally gave me chills with the lights down and him starting to hop and move his head back and forth like Wayne did. Almost makes me tear up
looks amazing but i really wish they made his signature beard onto the mask, the bottom feels kinda empty to me :(
