Very interestingly textured composition, VERY precise guitar playing and neat sounds.... 0:56 is absolutely mindblowingly **EPIC** in my opion, my brain itches to hear that EPIC "shift" a few more time in differnt ways later in the song.... =)
oh damn, thank you so much! i thought the description of the video would only be showing when the video is live haha, my bad. vinyl preorders open on friday :)
This is so good and tasteful. I'm not a pro at theory or at earing stuff, but i would appreciate knowing what are the main chord progression you used ? (for the main motif / first 40seconds)
Thanks so much for the kind words! The first part is mostly just jumping back and forth between Fmin9 as the root and a Dbmaj7 with some funnier stuff happening towards the end of each round, where it modulates to major.
@@waxamilionguitarThank you for the answer Wax. I just have few questions since i really enjoy your music : Do you plan on doing guitar tutorial video ? (like you did with the last Short you made, but more "in depth" about theory or technic) ? Thanks !
If ur gonna be good at guitar, at least sort out the drums man. All the clips of yours I’ve seen, have the same generic three sample 808 kits that are accenting syncopation from the guitar in non linear ways, resulting in no consistent groove. If your goal is to make instrumental music that people can passively or actively listen to, there needs to be a form of rhythmic consistency. If your goal is to create abstract adhd music, then use better drum patterns, better drum sounds, more diverse textures and more compositional techniques.
Absolutely think this is a solid critique in regards to consistent grooves and less disjointed sections. I personall believe there is no such thing as bad music as we all use the frequency range of sound. It is how it placed together from the expression of ourselves that matters most to us. As I was reviewing your video where you talk show your production template. I listened to what you said about individual different sections and how you link them. This might be where the weakness of your method can shine through. With everything there must be balance. There are moments were the music has absolutely hooked me in and then the breaks lose that hook in me. I think that this is what the other individual is talking about. As a composer taking a step back from your internal intuition and allowing external intuition to keep you in check will help your compositions immensely. I am always learning, taking notes on the creations and learning from them each time. We all have so much to learn. Would love to hear critiques on GOD music as well. Please check out the track Eternity from GOD IV Revelation as I would love to hear pros and cons to the track.
I must say that I have been following you from the very beginning of your career. Absolutely love your work, chord voicings, flow and melody. You shall go far. Much love and respect.
1:30 😎

It's already pretty well produced
