Geeze... how am I just now only just now finding your music? (you can thank Spotify actually) You mentioned working through the melody and other parts using the tools to help you hear back each section as you compose the next, but I'm also interested in the thought experiments and what triggers inspiration.

could you explain what your helix signal chain is like? dont need the exact preset but how do you approach making a tasty sparkly clean tone like that

@@vishnugopakumar8807 hey sorry for the late reply and thanks for the kind words! my helix tone is kinda basic. i use a lot of compression though. i got a red squeeze comp at the start of the chain, followed by a vermin distortion (which is not engaged here, i use that only for mellow leads), then a fender amp+cab sim (US double norm) followed by a rochester comp. if you have a helix shoot me a dm on IG or email (waxenterprises@yahoo.com) and i can send you my preset :)

@@waxamilionguitar that's sick man, i'll be sure to try it out. i have a line6 pod go so the presets dont carry over but i can build it myself with your comment :)) so excited about your music as always

u have some crazy bar changes. Can you explain them? trying to follow the tempo but it seems like sometime you shorten or lengthen the bar. Hope my question makes sense haha

Hey, sure does that make sense :) this tune is very straightforward compared to my other songs actually. i should have explained that it is in 6/8 though and not following the 4/4 grid of the ableton session. but really the whole song is 6/8. if it sounds like the bar is longer or shorter then thats only because some rhythmic syncopation is happening, before or after the end of the bar so that the one isn't as obvious anymore. does that make sense at all?
