SwitchBot Lock Pro | Introducing the new smart lock from Switch Bot | Alternative to Nuki and co

The market for digital locks, aka smart locks, is now somewhat broader than it was a few years ago. For example, we have already had devices from Nuki, WELOCK and LOQED here on the channel, all of which can do one thing (but much more), namely open your door more or less automatically. Some time ago, SwitchBot brought a candidate into play with the Lock, which is now getting a successor/pro version with the LockPro. Nuki has already done something similar with the Nuki Smart Lock Pro.
But let's concentrate on the product from the video, i.e. the SwitchBot LockPro. The Lock Pro is easy to install and comes with various attachments that can be used depending on the type of cylinder you have. By the way, I won't go into the installation in the video because there is a good video from SwitchBot itself. If you have any questions, please write them in the comments.
Since such a lock also needs power for its functions, 4 AA batteries are used here, which should last up to 9 months, alternatively you can also buy a PowerPack, which then lasts up to 12 months. But don't worry, the app warns you in good time before the batteries run out so that you are not left with a locked door.
What makes the LockPro exciting, however, is the variety of different opening options. There are 15 in total, which I have never seen anywhere else in this quantity. In addition to the normal app and the actual key, these include an NFC tag/card, your Apple Watch, fingerprints (up to 100 can be stored), numerical codes (both one-off and permanent, as well as time-limited) and you can also control the lock via Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings and Matter. For Matter, you need the new Hub Mini Matter enabled.
One function that I have come to really appreciate with Nuki is the door status, i.e. the app not only tells you whether the door is locked, but also whether it is open or not. Very helpful in my opinion...
All in all, a very exciting package that we want to take a look at together today. I'll show you the main functions and give you my assessment of the new Smartlock from SwitchBot.

Hallo, sehr schönes Video. Habe mehrere SwichBot Produkte im Einsatz zusammen mit dem Hub 2.0 der auch die Innentemperatur anzeigt u, A, das SmartLock der ersten Generation. Wollte schon auf das Pro upgraden, da das alte sehr langsam war. aber als das Neue auf den Markt kam. hat SwitchBot ein Firmware Update angeboten und jetzt ist das alte Lock so schnell wie das Neue. Das Keypad ist super, Fingerabdruck wird wirklich sehr schnell erkannt und es schließt und öffnet wirklich sehr schnell. Habe mir einen Zylinder gekauft der innen einen Drehriegel hat der problemlos gedreht werden kann und kann trotzdem von außen notfalls normal mit dem Schlüssel aufsperren. Das SwitchBot Widget funktioniert auch problemlos auf der Galaxy WWatch6 Classic. Bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Schloss und mit SwitchBot im Allgemeinen.

was aber ist, wenn jemand das außen aufgesetzte Schloss gewaltsam abbricht, dann ist er doch unversehens im Besitz des Türschlüssels ... oder irre ich mich da ...?

Ja, da irrst Du, denn das Schloss wird innen aufgesetzt. Es dreht den Schlüssel von der Innenseite, so dass diese Gefahr nicht besteht.
