    Sir, it was very nice explanation, after my PG now i understood the What is IUGS classification, Before seeing the IUGS picture usually, ill close the text books.... after your explanation, now i am happily say that i know what is IUGS classifications, thanks a lot Sir

    Very amazing lecture sir but I want to point out one mistake at 17:58 aapne kaha ki albite aur quartz results into Nepheline but its actually Albite se agar quartz nikaal diya jaaye toh nepheline hota hai

    these videos are really nice,they are packed with extremely comprehend-able information but i do wish that you used English more as it is a universal language, its not my first language either , i think if you had done so you would have reached a wider audience.

      A volcanic bomb or lava bomb is a mass of partially molten rock (tephra) larger than 64 mm (2.5 inches) in diameter, formed when a volcano ejects viscous fragments of lava during an eruption. Because volcanic bombs cool after they leave the volcano, they are extrusive igneous rocks

    Basalt is a mafic Igneous rock with 45 to 52% silica content ....but the IUGS classification (pic attached) define basalt as a rock that contains a max of 20% quartz .....why this difference is there
