We all know that Paul is a wizard with the fly rod, but when the day comes that his beard turns white he'll be a candidate for Hogwarts. Don't lose that hat!
Glass rods can be overlined/underlined with ease and are not particularly sensitive to line choice - other than in subjective feel. The Orvis #6 is reasonably powerful, can cast a long line and is well suited for a long - belly line. Match the line to the fishing.... the long belly is versatile.
Excelent video! The fishing intermezzo is really funny 😂
I have no choice but to learn! thank you Paul
Nice one Paul very comprehensive info,ATB Steve,

Or maybe I dye it camouflage, Stephen 😎
Excellent stuff. Been using Rio double tapers for a while. Maybe try the SA trout to change it up a bit.
weighting feet of line with grains of barley, like it's 1420 again 🤣
Hi Paul, would the expert distance work on a #6 Orvis glass rod. I’m sure it would on my TCR 69/1 but I like to use glass occasionally.
I don’t see why not, it’s true to weight Paul. Unlike many lines nowadays that are heavier than standard!
