Why Avocado is the BEST fruit tree to grow in a Survival Garden

Avocados are unlike any other fruit. It is one of the only fruit that can stay on the tree for over 9 months without ripening. They only ripen once they are picked. This makes for a perfect survival food to grow in you yard. Just harvest at your convenience according to how many you want to eat, then just leave the rest until you are ready. Avocado is a superfood loaded with beneficial nutrients and health benefits.

Been starting/growing avocados for 4 years here in N.Sac.Valley, CA Zone 9B > it's been difficult with this crazy weather & poor location > hope they make it & that I live to see some fruit! Thank you!

Thats great. Depending on climate zone different fruit trees will do better than others. You have to wait and see many times.

Why don’t you put net so you don’t get leaves burn

I don't bother because these leaves fall off early spring and new grown starts that don't discolor until late fall.
