SO many unnecessary steps man... do we really need an entire step to clarify that -(-4)=4 and 2×1=2? If i did math like this when I was in college I would have used an entire binder of paper for each homework assignment...
I mean it really doesn’t matter it’s like getting upset at someone for writing the chain rule when finding d(sin^2(x))/dx, if they want to write 2(sin(x))*cos(x) as 2sin(x)cos(x) the next step, it’s fine as it makes the rest of the problem easier to track
Good question. I wouldn't call it tricky (if you know the quad formula and complex number rules) but a very satisfying solution.
Me with a first look at the problem.
"It's going to involve complex numbers."
It involved complex numbers.
Really great
let x=2+z; y=2-z
xy=16
(2+z)(2-z)=16
2^2-z^2=16
4-z^2=16
z^2=-12
z=+-sqrt(-12)
z=+-sqrt(-1*4*3)
z=+-2i*sqrt3
z=2i*sqrt3 --> x=2+2i*sqrt3; y=2i*sqrt3
z=-2i*sqrt3 --> ×=2-2i*sqrt3; y=2+2i*sqrt3
(2)+(2)=4 (y ➖ 2x+2). 4^4 2^2^2^2 1^1^1^2 1^2 (xy ➖ 2xy+1).
There's no need to work out the values for y, since the commutative property makes them obvious.
Math is beautiful
Wow I always thought a sum like this
Why are your videos all the same but slighly changing the numbers? UA-cam is such a stupiiiidddd system

I think he is a good teacher
Very wordy. Took twice the time it should have.
