Bro, its not a good design, you are blocking road for more than half.
It would have been best, if the door gets slided parallels to your inner wall
2nd option is that you had to change the material of the gat and make it light weight so it can get slide upward. you need multiple hinges with rolling function.

Lol public street? Bhai jaan Pakistan hai. Park your car on a public property road and if there is a shop there, they will break your car kyun k un k samnay ap do minute park nai kar k ja saktay.
As far as his gate is concerned. If we open the gate on inside less cars get parked. Also if someone opens the gate from outside and someone is standing inside who is not visible, he can get hurt. For outside they have a camera for this precaution. Please think before criticizing and raising objections. Thank you.
These are good addition to modern homes but I still like the American gates opening that opens up and down that looks very cool . No one have been able to do that system here maybe no company offering that system.
