I'm remember people saying "anyone remember Colony" when Clayman came out. You should give their newer stuff more of a chance. I used to hate Soundtrack to Your Escape but that's one of my favorite albums of theirs now.
"Burden of the evidence grows." Hearing that line for the first time gave me shivers hah. Although I love the old albums like Whoracle/Jester Race, this new stuff is pretty cool. Admittedly, they would have become pretty stale if they kept doing the same thing for almost 20 years now... I guess I'm still a huge fan.
@putastakeonit It might not be as screamy as before, but I think this sounds much more natural for Anders' voice, in the older albums it sometimes sounded forced. But in this, I think he has found a good mix, because he has got much more feeling and intensity than in SoP, but still not too hard or unnatural for him. I prefer this, and hope he will experiment even more for the next album :D
I just think, it's a pity, that Jesper left the band. I mean Niclas is good, but Jesper was the pure awesomeness and I really loved his guitar-skills ;)

Sounds like some of their older stuff. The riffs I mean, the vocals, I like this and his older stuff too. It's good either way. In Flames' experimentation has resulted far more fruitful than Metallica's I think. Plus, this has a very spacey sound (now, that's something I can dig)!
Actually, it's just a high sound quality, as you should've obviously noticed. Cause most of the versions of this, even if 1080p, sound worse than this. It's about bitrate and buffer rate I think.
@3X73RM agreed man 100%. tired of all these whiney douches complaining in flames has changed or isnt the same. they changed for the better. They are so much more refined now its better than their early stuff. I still think I like soundtrack to your escape the best but their last 4-5 albums have been boss.
