- Not only was the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms the first modern divers' watch; it maybe the best. I selected the Fifty Fathoms Grande Date for a hands-on review because of the large dual date wheel. But there is so much more to admire about this watch.

There is just something wonderful about the black dial watches that just GRAB me. I really can't figure out why. Most of my watches are black face (Whoops, I intended to say 'black-dial').
I'm a chronograph lover - so I am truly in love with the Air Command.

@@Jubal.Harshaw Not necessarily Blancpain is boring. I've published videos on several micro brand watches (and some mainstream brands also) that have boring black dials. I'm working now on a video of a GMT watch with a boring matte black dial. Of course, this is all just my opinion.

Well.. I prefer the look of FiftyFathoms over Bathyscape. Mainly because of the lugs. I don't know how you name different type of lugs but I like Bauhaus type of lugs. That Bathyscape-lugs just look dull to me.
I also think the Bathyscape looks a little boring.
Dive watches are also my favourite style of watches. When I was a child, I dreamed of having the Rolex Submariner at some point. Now, a "few" (😂😂😂) years later... I still don't have it 😂. I had the Tudor Black Bay but it was too thick for me. Maybe the new version? We will see 💰

I was on a waiting list for the last gen Sub and when I asked them again about it, they told me: "We have a new generation of Sub on the market and the waiting list has been reset. You have to come again and get a new spot." I even don't like the design anymore, it is "nice" but zero emotions... A vintage one, maybe if I get the opportunity but then again the modern Black Bay 54/58 is closer to the vintage Sub than a Sub...

Agree with you, Bob, about the GO being a nicer watch than the Blancpain. Actually, not a Blancpain fan. Dials are uncommonly common.

The Glashütte divers are really amazing watches they are beautiful and just feel so special, but the price is just way to high and they are for folks that appreciate the design over value. I bought a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms in titanium with the blue dial and bezel a month ago and I totally love it, I have worn watches in the 36-41mm range before but this just sits sooo well.
Do you think the pice will f a Blancpain is worth it; more than that of the GO? I don’t know
