OMG, that was the most fun entertaining video I've watched in a long time. I love both of your UA-cam channels. I have used Your information service Peter. I am like a sponge. I've made alot if mistakes. I have learned and continue to. My husband And I have a railroad Chinese collection. We have enjoyed finding alot of local artifacts. What a joy to watch this! Thank you and have a happy holiday.
My two favourite dealers in one video. I am a total amateur but I have learnt so much from Peter Combs. A real expert who never talks down to the rest of us. If you dont follow him on youtube you are missing sooooo much!
I finally have some faith and optimism for 2023 now that two of my favorite UA-cam personalities are collaborating. David and Peter are such wonderful folks and I'm glad they decided to do these interviews. Cheers fellas!
Subscribed to both channels and love them both. Very different dealers but both so knowledgeable. I love going to auctions they are still exciting even with the internet slowing the auctioneer down.
For those of you that are wondering, Rihanna (no last name) never did find that peacock headdress she was looking for. Settled for a jewel-encrusted gold headpiece instead for the 2015 MET Gala 😁
Welcome Peter Combs! IBM System 3?! Punch cards?! (did back in the Stone Age) My knowledge of Asian art is minimal especially in this company, but I bet Peter and I have mutual acquaintances. (Not Rihanna!) If it makes you say "How the ****** did they do THAT", it's probably worth buying even if not $worth$ anything. I love staple repairs because they mean "story". Staple repairs often cost more than the item itself was worth - hence the reason to buy them.
Another added cost from internet auctions is the currency exchange rate when buying objects from a different country then your own. If one is in the USA and buys something in the UK and uses Paypal, the echange rate is USD$1. = .77GBP, if one uses a credit card the exhange rate will be USD$1. = .81GBP. So using paypat instead of a credit card will cost you an additional 4%. DON'T USE PAYPAL!

I do believe export pieces are generally better quality than the Chinese domestic ware. But some so called "experts" in China always say the other way to their audience.
Great collaboration!! Thank you David!!👏👏
Great interview. Would love to see more of these.
Peter Combs it's good to hear you talking with another dealer. A great duo! Thanks for the interview!
Our pleasure!
