Someone is going to want those gryphons. Wouldn't be my style, but it'll still be perfectly ready to roll for another 200 years if looked after a bit. You know it's good when the original manufacturer wants it back.
That sold well for a reproduction David when is the match stick Cathedral coming up for sale please . A happy New Year lets hope it is going to be a great 2025 for everybody .
Hi David, how times have changed, and going back in time, it really was Georgian, Victorian or Oak in the Trade, so vibrant back then. Interesting, the original makers buying back, I remember back in the Day there was a Scottish furniture maker who attended any of the Big House Sales where their earlier Work was on offer, the name escapes me but he was a regular at the bigger Sales. QI.
I had a pair of Versace jeans black with the round black and blue emblem got them in Versace in Glasgow £120 quid about 30 years ago thought I was the bees knees gave them to my uncle I think he’s still got them 😂
You would need to be very careful putting a vase of flowers on there it would need to stand on something to prevent water damage on that beautiful table.
I mean who goes along and sits on the auction lots? Disrespectful tbh. A seasoned buyer and seller here, just saying. Btw the mics are dull. The camera angle cuts heads off.
That is truly a beautiful piece.
Fab isn’t it
What a gorgeous piece of furniture, and 1200 is a deal! Happy Holidays David!
Great isn’t it. Happy Christmas too
NICE WORK FOR A REPRODUCTION !
Isn’t it !
Something doesn't have to be an antique to be simply well done and worth the money for artisan sake.
Absolutely right…Happy Christmas

With good things around it, it’ll look like it’s worth a fortune!
Worth every penny.....a real eye catcher, but does need a large room.
It certainly does and what a great talking piece !

Thank you, Happy New Year
Nice but a bit to big for my home.Needs the right setting to show it at is best.
You're right…it needs space around it, but what a lovely thing
Hi David my brother in law has the same hair style as you. He says hes not bald he has a solar panel for a love machine ?
I like your brother in laws style…I’ll be telling people that from now on!!
Did the company who made it have the final bid?
I much prefer the Mouseman box
Video on that coming soon!
@ 😀🤌
A bit of a steal at that price level. £2500 to £3000 retail?
Yes, I think so…but it sold well as most reproduction pieces, you’d be lucky to get 10% back in a re-sale!

Give your uncle a call and get them back!
In my opinion, that was a disappointing sale. I thought it would have bid much higher, reproduction or not.
I think it did well. You’d be lucky with most reproductions to get 10% of their original price!
@@DavidHarperAntiques Still, a beautiful piece. Thanks for the info.

Very good advice…I’ve made that mistake many times!
Empire style?
Bang on II Empire
don't sit on the versace David lol
Brights are good makers.
But in an auction sale it's a Regency reproduction piece and £1200 hammer is a good price. But not an antique.
That is what a we say on the video!
I wish David wouldn’t tighten his trousers like that
Me too!
The camera position cropping off the top of the two men's heads is just horrible. I stopped watching
