Your car is one of the best alltrac around keep up the good work. What front axles and motor mounts did you use for your st205 swap?

Thanks. I used 185 mounts and axles. 205 axles are longer if I remember correctly.

I absolutely love your Celica. I would die for that thing! I love the way you like to mod, it's just like me (simplistic and tasteful, a look that enhances the factory one). I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this damn car and the way you've modified it, great job man!!!! I have a 5th gen Celica GT and since I can't find any All Tracs in my area, I just have a few questions if you don't mind. This is the first video of yours I've ever seen, and I did read some of the posts you made on the alltrac board, which answered a lot of my questions. However, if you don't mind (I was unsure/couldn't find), where did you get the car painted, how much was it, and how did you get them to find that shade of silver? Thanks so much in advance man, I really love your car, and want to modify mine in a similar way (paint and wheels primarily) at least until i get an All Trac one day (if you don't mind).

It was a small shop in Maryville, TN. I hired them to paint the car gt silver metallic, but when I bought extra paint recently to paint other things I found the porche color does not match my car at all. I call the shop to buy paint from them, and they told me they could not sell me matching paint either. So at this rate I no longer really know what color my car is. I am going to have to get the paint scanned and mixed to match. It will likely be a custom mix. I had given them the paint code for this shade of silver, but sadly I do not think it will be an easy match now. BTW: The wheels are discontinued. You would have to find a used set being sold online. I have been trying to find an extra myself, because I like to have spares in case something gets damaged.

Thanks so much for the quick response! I guess for the time being I should just ask for "gt silver metallic" and see what kind of paint a shop can mix. It's really a shame because the shade of silver you have on there looks literally perfect to me! My car is greyish silver at the moment, so it'd be awesome if I could get a lighter, shinier shade like you have. I don't know much about paint codes, so why do you say that even though they have the paint code you don't think it will be an easy match? Because of fading? Also if they scan your current shade you have on there as it stands, will they be able to give you a paint code that you can take and use anywhere? I'm just wondering for my own Celica. Thanks again!

HamMan1997The2nd The paint code will get you close to the color it identifies with. I had researched recently to find there is something like up to a 11% variance in color that can be mixed by different people. So a dealer on the easter coast, isn't going to mix the paint exactly the same as a dealer on the west coast. Turns out when you repair a section, a good shop is supposed to blend it because chances are they will not mix it exact either. Now just a warning about the color, gt silver and my color change a lot based on light. My car can actually look like dark gray, and sometimes it can look like polished aluminum. So it is not always light. It goes light to dark. The gt silver is a hair lighter than my paint, but seems very similar. It is different enough though that if I was to fix a chip, I would have to blend it because there is too much contrast between the two. Also note that clear can affect the final look some as well. It is all worth researching. I will never repaint a whole car again. A decent paint job starts at 2k, and goes up over 10k. My paint is good enough though, and since I enjoy the car I am not too worried about being 100% perfect. I am not a show car guy as much as I am a driver.

Thanks so much man, I really appreciate you taking your time to help me. I'm going to take the information you've given me and do some research to hopefully get a real nice shade of paint on my car like you have on yours. I must say the paint you have on your Celica is one of the most beautiful shades of color I've ever seen on a car...it's simply beautiful.

I recently just got a 90 GTS, I'm looking for wheels but I'm having trouble finding what sizes would fit. Specifically the width, I'm looking at 17x7. Mind telling me what size wheels you have?

Second hand on ebay or one of the celica/ alltrac forums. They are discontinued and the price is only getting higher on them.

+Alfredo Ramirez The st185 model was a direct fit. I do not know much of their rads now, mine was one of their early designs. I had to modify one of the hoses, but its been so long I forget which one.
