So many great reads! Where to start?? Definitely going to try There, There and Anna Maria and the Fox first. I love a long series to get immersed in, so I will explore Wheel of Time as well. Glad you enjoyed April and May reading!
Hi Gabby, I enjoyed watching you share your thoughts on the books you read. I was quiet surprised that you DNF'ed before I let go. I love that you went against popular opinion. hahahahahahahaha. I am intrigued by there, there. I will keep it on my radar.😊
Yea I know people might not come for me but I had to stay true to my taste! Lol there, there was so good! I’m looking forward to reading the sequel before the end of the year!
So brave of you to start wheel of time 😂 because 14 books…whew! An Inconvenient Cop sounds like an interesting read so I’m definitely adding it to a TBR
I'm reading Before I Let Go right now. I almost DNFd it but I'm still going. I agree with your assessment, although I think they're starting to get to the emotional connection part. I'm curious to see if that aspect continues throughout the last sections. I definitely prefer to have a lot more emotional connection and not just physical in my romance reads. Eye of the World sounds interesting! Also definitely looking up An Inconvenient Cop. Thanks for the recommendations!
Love this mix of books! I’m looking forward to There there. I have the sequel. Happy to see you loved the beautiful ones because I haven’t seen anyone talk about it.
Thanks girl! The Beautiful Ones really took me by surprise! 😮 so good! I can’t wait to read Wandering Stars; I didn’t know it was a sequel until I peeked at the synopsis!
I am reading Sanditon this month! I have Austen's unfinished one, plus a finished version called Charlotte. Henrietta Lacks has been on my TBR for ages! I really need to read it. And I just read Their Eyes Were Watching God in June and I really enjoyed it also! Loved the gorgeous prose.
I DNF'd Before I Let Go too. It was too raw for me, and didnt care for the style of writing. I saw Sanditon on Masterpiece too and enjoyed most of it (it got kinda wild for PBS 😂), and want to read the novel. I read Their Eyes Are Watching God last week and it is now my 3rd favorite book of all time. J California Cooper is my favorite author and could tell she was inspired by Zora NH. I finished The Davenports last week too and really enjoyed it. Thanks for recommending Ana Maria and the Fox, it sounds like my speed.
Yea I was kinda disappointed in Before I Let Go but it’s all good. Plenty of other people love it! I can see how Their Eyes Were Watching God is an all time fav! The prose was beautiful! I hope you enjoy Ana Maria and the Fox as much as I did!
I love Their Eyes Were Watching God. It’s one of my fav classics. I agree with you about the romance in Robert Jordan’s books. It’s not done well and seems forced to me. I also get annoyed by the characters constant critiques about the opposite sex. I’m more interested in the world but have been finding hard to move beyond book 5. Hope it goes better for you.
I trust you from you said you DNF Before I Let Go. I finished it but it was a struggle and I didn’t love the second book either. I DNF the second book in the series either. 😊
I'm glad you had so many five star reads lately.
Thank you! Me too!

I almost DNF'ed the book as well! It was a good storyline but, it was just predictable to me. I finished it mainly because I read it in a group lol.

5 stars to The Beautiful Ones 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Yesss! Thanks for recommending it! I adored it! Definitely going to read more SMG and just stay away from her horror stuff lol
Yup.. I feel like me and the person I’m buddy reading it with are kinda having buyers remorse lol

Ooo! I’ve never heard of the Charlotte book! I’d be interested in reading it. I hope you enjoy the Henrietta Lacks book as much as I did.

I can see why you love Their Eyes were watching God! Yea Robert Jordan writes is not a good romance writer at all. Kinda wish it wasn’t in there lol

Yea.. it just wasn’t it for me. Not my type of romance I guess.
