At the beginning of the game, it was written that mini-icons drop out in large quantities if you apply magic at the right moment. What else is the right moment? When Harry passes by any illuminated object, the circle around them begins to increase and decrease in size. When the circle has increased in size, only then it is necessary to apply a wand so that a lot of mini-icons fall down. BUT it only works as long as Harry moves towards them. If you are late, there will always be few icons. If you use this mechanic correctly, then all 25 crests can be collected in about an hour, or maybe earlier Yes, it took me 14 years to figure it out, ahahahaha.

One of my favorites parts of this game was when you are walking as Ron (21:28), when you try to get the little crests they are turn in to little hearts! It was a little detail that the team behind the game put it, but It was perfect for te moment! 💕
I loved this game as a kid. Looking back to them from now I almost prefer that hogwarts compared to legacy. Not because it’s better, it’s not. At all. But this game was my first EVER time walking freely in this world
As a kid my favorite one was order of the fenix, simple, easy, exploration driven and puzzles filled game, good for a kid that didnt care how repetitive a game can get and just run around attacking other students to cause duels was the real fun for me. Also the soundtrack in this one is the best, and the nostalgia it gives is incredible. Also the badass final fight with Dumbledore vs Voldemort was top, i had issues winning that one but i didnt care, u cant technically lose in this game, there is no game over just the cutscene slightly changes. BTW have anyone ever defeated a 1v8 with harry against the whole slitherin team on this one? There is one fight that feels pretty unwinnable and programmed for u to lose. Goblet of Fire however, yeah i hated that one and i still hate that one nowadays. Then my second favorite is prisoner of azkaban, also pretty easy and generally fun for my 8-10 years old self. Half blood prince however, is where i had issues on the difficulty spike, and a few new mechanics, rn i do prefer this one over the rest and put it on the same spot as Order of Fenix, buuut, back in the days i wasnt sure about it, hogwards looks similar to the earlier game, but a bit expanded, graphics were a bit better ofc, soundtrack i liked order of fenix more, and the sprinting and the camera perspective was, quite different indeed. I was sad they removed chess, and other minigames, and the puzzles were much simpler. Hear, im not a huge fan of puzzle games this days, especially hardcore puzzles like the ones in some horror games like RE and Silent Hills, but back in the days i was as long as the puzzles were simple enough, not some riddles. Then there is the first harry potter game, very good classic, god no i mean the PC version not the PS1. Then Chamber of Secrets, the PS2 version i heard is incredibly good but never had the chance to play, i played the PC version and omg, this game, is hard, and i mean incredibly hard, on my childhood i gave up on this one due to difficulty. And no, we do not talk about the 3rd person shooters the last games are, ewww.
I have this platinum too, it was so much fun and the game hold up pretty well still. I also have the Deathly Hallows Pt 1 platinum and I never felt so miserable. You have to finish it in every difficulty because finishing on hard does not grant you the others.
I remember playing this game on PS2 and getting every single crest in the game without a guide and 100 percenting the minigames to try and unlock the extra characters for the multiplayer duelling gamemode.

I remember getting the Harry Potter 6, 7, and 7 Part 2 Platinums back in 2011. Half Blood Prince was surprisingly really good for a movie game. The other 2, not good. Part 1 I remember being really tedious and boring and Part 2 was like a 2-3 hour Platinum.
Like overall? Lego Harry Potter games were good, would be the best, though when I played them on PC years after release they still had some progression blocking bugs that one could run into that ruined the 100%. Some people would probably argue for Hogwarts Legacy to be up there, though I found it suprisingly lackluster except for some of the exploration (*does* have the best HD hogwarts out of all of them). But after having watched all of them on YT I still think the original HP games 1-3 on PlayStation were good kids games for the times in a way I don't think any of the later ones came close to. And I heard similar good things about the same games on PC and a couple other platforms.

Not sure about the console version, but I remember playing the PC one. From what I remember there was a way to get mini crests faster. There are two aureoles around the glowing objects - the spikey one (from far away)and the round one (when you get close to the item). When you click to collect the mini crests as the spikey aureole changes to round one, you get max mini crests. I wonder if this also works in the console version hehe Also, congrats on the Platinum! That was a nice nostalgia trip!
Yes! It didn't make it into the video, but someone explained this to me during one of the livestreams. It worked on console as well, but was a bit trickier to pull off consistently.
Prisoner and Order were such good games i played through prisoner soooooo many times on PS2 because the game was that good i wish we would get like a remaster of these older games who knows maybe with Legacy and Champions will see some more older stuff get the light if day again
I wish there were trophies for the fifth game. I played it so much as a child, it would be so fun to complete it. This game feels like a cheap copy of the first game with the only meaningful addition compared to the fifth game is the potion brewing.
Have you played the 5th one in a while? I played it recently and was surprised how much less I liked it now than I remembered. It hasn't aged well, I'm afraid 😅 I actually enjoyed HBP a lot more.
@@Retro_R2 Yes I played almost all games this summer again. (Skipped HP7/1 cause I just not willing to play it xd) And HP5 just feels more to me. Like you have the dueling clubs in 6, but in 5 you can actually fight with slytherins in a random hallway or courtyard, and the dueling sytem is not just "using one stunning spell, like levicorpus or petrificus totalus and just spamming stupofy, you can also play gobstoney or chess. (Yeah, you can play quidditch in 6 but its just flying through stars, its kinda boring IMO). Also the exploration part. It feels more alive to me to actually tidy up in Hogwarts, repair stuff, discover birds etc. In 6 you just collect the shields and while doing so I dont have the feeling that Im interacting with the castle itself, rather Im just doing stuffs in the castle, but totaly unrelated to it. And I kinda mentioned everything you can do in HP6. Shields, the three club and like thats it (also the story ofc), but Im not even close to mention everything that you can do in 5 EDIT: TBH the controls are much better in HP6 than in 5, I have to give it to it. HP5 controlas are so bad sometimes xd
I couldn’t disagree more. Outside of fun additions like potions, dueling club and quidditch, HBP offered some much needed quality of life upgrades! ie. camera, gameplay, controls etc.. which built upon an already great foundation in Hogwarts. Also it’s more focused and actually has a story this time around, not to mention some unexpected funny bits thrown in by the developers I appreciated. I don’t hate OOTP but the awful camera and glitches make it downright unplayable for me on PS3 sometimes… and it just feels like side quests the whole time. I appreciate what they tried to do and I can admit it has a kind of charm, but it felt unpolished and lazily thrown together. Half blood prince is much better. Definitely the best “HD” Harry Potter game IMO (Hogwarts legacy doesn’t count) and criminally underrated if you’re a fan of Harry Potter games. It goes HP 1-3 then HBP for me. As a Harry Potter fan I give it a solid 7.9/10 (which is really good all things considered) If you’re not a Harry Potter fan my objective rating would be a 7.3/10. Not bad.

I wish all of the games didn’t make the cave sequence so ‘flat’. In the film Gambon is giving it his all and he’s bloody fantastic. In every game it just doesn’t have the same impact. This game is the best by far outside of the 2 Lego games however. I’d argue it’s even better than Legacy due to the castle exploration and the 3 fleshed out minigamez
I remember playing through DH1/DH2 and being shocked to see how badly people rated it, I enjoyed them 😂 understand they’re not a touch on some of the others though (Lego games and legacy are stand outs for me)
What's your thoughts on the Lego Harry Potter game on the Nintendo DS system? (New viewer, I'm not sure if you covered this before) I remember the DS game and playing on my friend's DS at the time and WOW it was so much fun and my way into the franchise when I was younger.
Goblet of Fire was the first game in the series to not have a different, worse version on PC. The first 3 games are significantly better on ps2/gamecube, although the PC games for Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets are better than the psone versions. But, compared to the highs of the ps2/gamecube trilogy, the fourth game is really grindy(due to the number of collectibles shoved into the 3 semi open levels), short, and not all that much fun by comparison. The trilogy mentioned are basically Legend of Zelda knockoffs, with open world, decent exploration, lots of secrets, etc.
The weird scoring can make it tricky on some duels, but that tactic is definitely OP. I figured it out closer to the end and it makes the duels so trivial 😅
The Harry Potter games of the first 3 movies are amazing gems you should play all versions they are all really good. My favourites are the GameCube/ps2/xbox and pc versions but the Game Boy ones were really fun RPGs as well. PS1 versions have interesting art styles
Are you going to go for the HP Shooter platinum on livestream?? It would be good if they could remake or remaster these so we can play them easily on current consoles. The team doing the Tomb Raider 1-3 remakes did a good job, but there is a large amount of trophies for that

I'm planning to do a tier list once I finish with all of them. Right now, it's pretty close to the top. I think I may like it better than both Chamber games.
to be honest half blood prince is pretty bad of a game, it had some cool ideas but the execution it was just bad. the potion minigame and the expanded Hogwarts was the best part of it :) but I still got all achievements for this game x)
I wouldn't call any of the HP games truly great, but I actually think HBP may be my favorite. Both the PC version and console version of Chamber were really good too.
For the console games, you can buy them off eBay or at used-gaming shops. For PC, there are a few more hoops to jump through to get them working. A creator called "Phil of Glimmer" has a good video on getting the PC games up and running.
That one is the reason I never get through my plan of completing all the games. It unbalances my streak since I can't get myself to finish it and then my brain cannot cope with finishing 5 either. The rest I don't even install after that...😒
I dont understand the hate on the Goblet of Fire game… I’ve had a amazing time playing it when a was a kid. You could play it in co-op (and even choose your character), so it was incredible to play the whole story with my friends back in the day. Great memories tho

Also, if you want to grow your channel quickly, i recommend running the Metal Gear Solid series. Its kinda like the Eminem of video games, crazy stans (myself included) very large and very loyal fan base. We consume everything MGS, especially lets plays. Best of luck brother

Harry potter 3 didnt have trophys but it needed you to 100% complete it before you could finish the game. Kinfd of the same feeling

In the film Gambon is giving it his all and he’s bloody fantastic. In every game it just doesn’t have the same impact.
This game is the best by far outside of the 2 Lego games however. I’d argue it’s even better than Legacy due to the castle exploration and the 3 fleshed out minigamez

What's your thoughts on the Lego Harry Potter game on the Nintendo DS system? (New viewer, I'm not sure if you covered this before) I remember the DS game and playing on my friend's DS at the time and WOW it was so much fun and my way into the franchise when I was younger.
I've actually never played the handheld versions on any of the games. Planning to at some point though for my Wizarding World channel.

Probably your nostalgia talking 😅 I played it last year and yeah...it's ROUGH.
Goblet of Fire was the first game in the series to not have a different, worse version on PC. The first 3 games are significantly better on ps2/gamecube, although the PC games for Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets are better than the psone versions. But, compared to the highs of the ps2/gamecube trilogy, the fourth game is really grindy(due to the number of collectibles shoved into the 3 semi open levels), short, and not all that much fun by comparison.
The trilogy mentioned are basically Legend of Zelda knockoffs, with open world, decent exploration, lots of secrets, etc.

This game is amazing if only for the fact that it's utterly hilarious. Probs the funniest game I've ever played.
Definitely has a great sense of humor. The "Ron on love potion" and "Harry on Felix Felicis" parts were both hilarious 😄😄
Dueling gets so lame in this game when you figure out to just knock them down with expelliarmus or levicorpus get really close and charge a stupefy
The weird scoring can make it tricky on some duels, but that tactic is definitely OP. I figured it out closer to the end and it makes the duels so trivial 😅
The Harry Potter games of the first 3 movies are amazing gems you should play all versions they are all really good. My favourites are the GameCube/ps2/xbox and pc versions but the Game Boy ones were really fun RPGs as well.

It would be good if they could remake or remaster these so we can play them easily on current consoles. The team doing the Tomb Raider 1-3 remakes did a good job, but there is a large amount of trophies for that

to be honest half blood prince is pretty bad of a game, it had some cool ideas but the execution it was just bad.
the potion minigame and the expanded Hogwarts was the best part of it :)

I wouldn't call any of the HP games truly great, but I actually think HBP may be my favorite. Both the PC version and console version of Chamber were really good too.

For the console games, you can buy them off eBay or at used-gaming shops. For PC, there are a few more hoops to jump through to get them working. A creator called "Phil of Glimmer" has a good video on getting the PC games up and running.

I dont understand the hate on the Goblet of Fire game… I’ve had a amazing time playing it when a was a kid. You could play it in co-op (and even choose your character), so it was incredible to play the whole story with my friends back in the day. Great memories tho

Actually got that one before I started making platinum vids, but might be fun to do it again on a different PSN account and make a video for it.
As much as I love Harry Potter, I cannot bring myself to buy anymore Harry Potter stuff or anything that involves you know who, she kinda ruined the whole franchise for me, but I'm sure that's true for a lot of people, I know they say hate the artist not the art, but when the artist uses the money from the art for vitriol it kinda spoils it 🤷♀️, sorry to be depressing in a good video my guy but I just wanted to get my honest opinion out there
