Travis Tweten exactly. He is insanely strong, but still hangs on every last word of anyone who gives their advice. And he is CLEARLY listening to all of it as fast as he catches on. He definitely watches others and picks up on the little tricks as well. He is like a sponge!

I feel like the more bigger and experienced we get with lifting, the more calm and humble we get, I've been lifting for a good 4 years now and I got more humble, I used to just care about showing off and brag and shit but then I realized there is still a lot for me to learn and the health benefits that fitness has and I just have a lot more respect. You just grow more mature as a lifter whether its bodybuilding, power lifting, calisthenics, whatever.
4 years in and I'm still learning so much more, things I wish I knew from the start.

@Larry: Please listen to Martins' advice on the overhead press, because in my opinion his advice on pressing overhead is good. Lock the weight out over your head, shrug up, hold it there. Ideally, you can hold the bar in the clean position too, not hold it in your hands with the bar sort of floating. BTW, I'm just a recreational lifter :) I got this advice from Bill Starr.
