I like how Larry always lets Thor finish what he’s saying instead of interrupting him when he is struggling with explaining something. Shows he’s a really nice guy
He has respect man pretty cool to see this series he does what ever Thor thinks he should do without question and always listens
Jay Fulton Bradly Martin...
thor always stays so composed. He's a good trainer.
Larry is a genuine good dude. You can tell by the way he carries himself. He will go far in everything he pursues. Look forward to seeing him compete!
I think that's why they like each other. Very respectful.
2:00 for a second I thought Thor hit the ceiling with his hand there...
fuck xD
yo same here, i was like is the roof ok
Hahaha same
😂😂😂😂
Ahahahahah thats funny as fuck
25:56 "Once you're there you squeeze it, like you're hugging your wife. You're so happy to see her, you know, you hug her tight."
Let's hope Thor never gets too happy or they'll have to arrange a funeral for his wife.
That analogy was hella wholesome
Thor: I’m so happy!!
Wife: *runs out of house screaming*
I thought he said like your hurting your wife
Seriously. I've seen the pictures of them next to each other. She'd snap in half!
Yeah and his wife is like 5 ft tall
"It's good to do a couple of sets with no weight, like 106 lbs with one arm before you go to the heavy ones." -Thor, 2019
Haha I lol'd at that as well.
Larry’s determination is what makes him so successful.
Being a brick shit house helps.
lets be honest... genetics and steroids have also something to do with it :o)
And the steroids
why do guys keep on talking about steroids smh, it doesnt matter!!!!! Larry is a hard worker
@@MrCAHRLIE22 if it doesn't matter then why does he take them?
You can tell Larry admires Thor, but I can see that Thor admires Larry as well. Great training partners.
And together, they admire the Hulk!
"You have to suffer to become stronger" -Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson. Put that on a shirt, I'd buy it.
*It's not like it's self-evident or anything*
@ no doubt. Still
No pain no gain, but in other words haha
No gain No pain!
Real shit 👌
Next video: First time using infinity stones
That's a PR
Hahahaahahaa
George Michael Jr u high bro?
gallstones :D
What was larry sniffing, let me know,i have seen many powerlifters doing these
Thor's a cool dude. He's got a good vibe. So far all these strong men channels are genuine dudes.
When no one can mess with you, theres not much to be mad about
@@SWIFTzTrigger yeah it's the total lack of insecurity that I like about these guys
Yeh it must be cool to know nobody is gonna try and mess with u or talk shit in front of you. I bet it lets alot of these guys relax more and be themselves and not have to worry about other people.
XARIER39 except for Eddie Hall
@@SWIFTzTrigger I agree, you feel much less insecure when you know you are one of the Strongest Men in the world. Me for example I bark like a little dog each time someone tries to troll me.
I love how Larry is so humble and respectful.
Signs of a real man.
"It's good to suffer sometimes you know... for your head." Thor, greatest strongman coach.
I didn't really like Hafthor before your collab. Now I think he's amazing. He puts so much effort into you, even though you are kinda slowing down his workouts. I hope this friendship lasts a long time and I hope I'll see you two in the same competition one day
Yeah I watched him on game of thrones and I thought he was a bit of a dick, but he looks much nicer here!
Is Larry paying Thor to train him?
@@Klokkeklar well that is a tv show...soo...playing a character..
to see in same competition?I think it`s all just for media.. not gona happend..two diferent leagues...Takes years of training for Strongman..And you have to sacrifice some looks for some body mass..Otherwise not a chance. This is not the times OF Mariuz Pudzianowski 120-140 kg strongman was fast and agile..LArry would probably had very good chances ...But novadays let`s be realistic. He`s very strong in static lifts...But the rest of events need body mass and streghnt. And not 1 year of experience......But good luck:))
Feroce unlike UFC
I feel like thors English has gotten a lot better just by speaking with Larry daily during this series
Ye lol u right
You're right I noticed the same thing!
Am I the only one that everytime thor says "legs" I hear "lats"
Jhon D It can. He has collabed, but he didn’t spend hours every day talking to someone in english, trying to explain excercises and body mechanics. You’d be surprised how much difference talking daily can make
Jhon D lel a lot of people learn english in school but then never practice it, so they understand it pretty well but have a hard time talking themselves. Just talking to a native speaker every training session will make a huge diffrence for someone who only talks english infrequently
29:32 "this is 157kg want to try that?" * rolls stone with two fingers*
Props to showing more than just PRs but the learning phase
Larry’s voice is so deep that he sounds like a giant frog at 1:03
Boga Sixtyeight you killed me with this one LMAO
Boga Sixtyeight try hearing it slow mo

What a beast Larry is . Having Thor’s respect proves he is just something else .
I doubt Thor is doing this for free. Especially right before the Arnold.
he respects even you
It is win/win. Larry has a huge social media following, and doing this with Larry has undoubtedly given Thor many more fans than he previously had.@@shogunhoneybear
It don't prove shit
Larry s a filthy drug addict punk bitch
Thors only filming with him for social media status
He don't respect him for shit

LMAO!!! jaja!!
36:30 Somehow for me this just looks so funny since thor is probably pulling like 100kg so casually :D
DID YOU WARM UP YOUR ROTATORS LARRY?!?!?!?!
Martins is watching
larry legit has a huge disadvantage in stones because most strongmen use their belly to push the stone up but larrys has to get the stone past his chest. not even joking.
What Up
It's true bro. Stop acting like a sensitive female. Unless, you are a female.
Ultimate Roryor I’ll slap u
@@whatup4998you going to bitch slap him?
What Up
😂 U a keyboard warrior.
yeah that makes sense but there are some really strong individuals that do not need the power belly, mateusz kizlekovski being the prime example
No way he just picked up 106 like a roll of toilet paper
If that's how you pick up a roll of toilet paper, you should probably buy smaller toilet paper
Mr. Shit r/wOoOsCh OH YEAH YEAH
Not hard at all, I throw up 106 as my warm-up. Don't get me wrong - Larry will end up lifting 225 dumbbells, he is just warming up to the technique. But again 106 overhead is a toy. 132 is where it starts dividing the gym goer from the strongman/power lifter, that's normally a good identifier.
@@beaup8312 *Lmao if 106 is your warm up you need to raise the weight. My 11 year old niece can put that up no sweat.*
@ Even though I get the sarcasm, it wasn't really thought out because if your niece theoretically were to 'put that up no sweat' then how is that different from a warm up? If you're struggling to lift on your warm up weight then you're either an idiot or need to drop the weight. On a side note I am 26 yr old, 128kg, 6ft training strongman so yes I do lift 106 for a warm up.
Takes humility to show that many missed reps on the dumbbell. Real footage, not just cherry picked big lifts. Respect! 💪🏼
Larry "Legendary" Wheels💪
Brian Samuels that’s 2 nick names in one
💪
Legendary comes from being great over a long career when one redefines a sport. Enough to be remembered in history. There have been many flash in the pans that burned out like shooting stars. Time will tell if if legendary will apply. He does have two power lifting records to date. With record totals in 242lb and 275lb class. As great as that is, it doesn't make a legend. He's in the public's eye from social media but there is much more to do to attain that status. In the meantime we will enjoy the videos. There are some foundational issues that are going to end up coming out over time as well. Some can be corrected, some it's too late to address. If things hold off long enough, and he trains smart enough to stave them off. He has a shot at it...but there are issues with certain things. Those in power lifting know and speak of it. Best of luck in his endeavors.

Freaking love this training series with Thor ❤🙏🏿

@[ŸÜRÏ] hes gon out do Coleman
Larry is such a inspiration it's unfair how not human him and Thor are but it does help me with my training seeing that even Larry has weights he struggles with
Even though Larry is struggling its also good because it shows just how impressive these strong man competitors really are. Hes just got to get his grip up and also get more size on.
Nailon Ross not really just look at all the top pro strongman pretty much everyone of them is over 320lbs
Nailon Ross he’s small for a strongman
I dont see him getting bigger upper body maybe legs but it could end in worse balance for lifts though
@@domrick783 Exactly even 320 is on low side these days lol
There was a guy that was only 5"9 in the late 90' s hevwas about 275lbs , he was from hortonville wisconsin, he placed jusy high enough to make the final round but .
25:40 Thors flexibility to easily touch the floor with straight legs is amazing for a big guy!
seems like i won't study for the next 43 minutes
Same lol😂
Doing both right now
Sometimes you gotta make sacrifices when it comes to Larry's videos
Yep same 😅
That's isn't what Larry would want you to do.
This series is the biggest success on UA-cam ever. Bringing someone who just needs a little guidance to become world class. Quality.
Larry can you do a video where you show us your diet when you are doing strongman?
I think he said he will make one with thor
Henrik Olimb Brian Shaw has alot of videos showing his diet and day of eating, Thor also has a video, just watch those.

Larry is gona be like Mariusz Pudzianowski

@Mugwort he is definitely older than that he is actually 23
@Mugwort Marius was the same height as Larry
Larry's going to have change his body adding lots of weight on hips, waist, legs.
Those dumbbells put enormous strain on wrist, forearms at an angle that you don't get from normal lifting.
No bodybuilders waist for sure.
He has a definite power lifting physique.

Larry is such a likable human being. Humble monster
I love these videos. Even a guy as strong and big as Larry struggling and persevering. We all have goals and with that failures ahead. The important thing is not giving up.
Your work ethic and determination is awesome larry. This kind of work is what makes people great. You gotta get into some stretching routines, you'll be deadly.

*M A R S* Ha!! Like your handle. My actual name is MARS! Seriously, it's my first name, my actual name on my birth certificate. My Father was 1st, and I am a 2nd. Does it stand for something? Anyway, cool name you use here. Thanks....
@@marsbeegeefan1482 its not actually my name, I named myself that because one of my goal in life is to be one of the people with a dominating stake on the Red Planet, maybe be one of the people to transform it into a potential second home.
I thought that I needed something physical that links me to my goal. So I named myself Mars. My actual name is Aaron, initially I thought Ares was a better name but not many people know that Ares is another name for Mars.
*M A R S* Sorry, been gone few days. Wow, no kidding! I didn't know that either. For some more information for you, Mars, the planet, which is known as a wandering planet, all planets are; is Biblically the warrior planet, protector of God's people! The name Mars is synonymous in Greek culture as representative of Michael, God's Arch Angel, protector of God's people, along side of Gabriel, the Messenger Angel. The name Michael is synonymous biblically with Mars!! So cool that you chose that name. My Father was the 1st, me....the 2nd. Pretty neat who you can meet on line. Thanks for your response!!
Perfect! A 43 minute long video of larry lifting is just what I needed to heal with my sudden breakup😊😭
Who even dislikes Larrys videos
Doesn’t matter how much you know, there’s always more to learn.. Larry is very respectful in how he watches and learns from Thor.
Larry, you should study actual footage of strongman competitions of guys lifting the giant dumbbell over their head with EASE. Guys like Derek Poundstone, Travis Ortmayer, Phil Pfister, or Brian Shaw (ALL Americans). They literally jump (their feet leave the ground) when they pop the weight right up. Thor's not really giving you a good explanation of how to do it. His technique isn't the greatest. You need far more LEG drive. He relies more just on shoulder and triceps strength. That won't work for you.
I guess it helps that Larry can ohp 440lbs lol
Thor does that too in case you didn't notice
In the future, I think all strongmen will do split jerks. I'm surprised they don't do it already.
Very patient teacher respect
Larry is an inspiration. He is doing multiple sports and being competitive in them all. I am glad he is doing strongman now as I feel it takes strength plus more athleticism. Not knocking PL or BB as I love those as well but it will be fun watching Larry continue his strongman journey especially as he's been taken under Hafthors wing.
Great job lifting the stones Larry💪
I think you would benefit from watching Martins Licis technique when he presses. It looks like you’re pressing the dumbell. Its easier power jerking dumbells and barbells and jump down under the dumbell. Im not nearly as strong as you but i can power jerk a lot more than i can press. Also some mobility work on your shoulder joints and thoracic spine. I wish you all the best. Its really exciting watching you do strongman training. Im sure we’ll see you in Worlds strongest man in the future
This series should be on TV, it's that good!
Hey Larry,
With the Dumbbell try a slightly wider stance. Don’t dip too much and also maybe add your wristwraps to the pressing arm for some extra support. Be explosive and bump the weight off your shoulder and try catch it underneith. And keep your elbow high reducing the range of motion needed!
Good luck and keep at it buddy👍🏼
It's nice to see Larry learning from others.
They prove that music doesn’t make you work harder, it’s a mindset
For the first 15 min
I feel very inspired about this video clip. Professional strongmen doing their thing. Thanks for providing this close perspective into your training.
