    I can say the video from the camera is pretty nice and I love the stabilization works. Used it with 24-105 OSS and it really does well with keeping things steady but you see the steps. Did a bit more in Catalyst Browse and man, that made a major difference. Kinda sucks that the ZV-E1 now has better stabilization out of the box.

    When shooting in 8k, did you shoot at 400mb or 200mb in 4.2.0. I'm trying to see if you can really tell a difference in the bit rates. Shooting at 8k 24 in 420 at 200mb would be great and just putting that on a 4k timeline. for greater quality but if shooting at 400mb in 8k is noticeably better, im gonna start doing that

      I do not 100% remember. Typically when I am testing out different resolutions I will use the highest mb setting. I really did find the quality of the 8k to be very nice but I will tell you the file sizes are pretty big. You have to remember that 8k is 4x the resolution of 4k. Sony cameras are usually 100mb for 4k so you would most definitely see the difference if you when to 400mb as that would be 4x the mbs. Does that make sense?

      @@BrianTheCameraGuy yes I shoot on my a7S3 in hs and sometimes all I or all intra so I know about the size. That doesn’t bother me. I use the a1, r5, a7S3, A7iv. I have alot of Sony cameras but yes when I shot in 8k at 200mb I didn’t really see a difference in resolution then shooting in 400mb. So I wanted to know if you saw a difference

      Which one of those camera did you the best? I like the a1 but the price is so much.

    reason why is not good on low light is not because it has many small pixels, its because it doesnt use all of them, it bins in most 1.2x/ff modes

      That makes a lot of sense!! Thank you for the clarification.

    Brian, I have never heard of the A7R V having a dual base ISO setup? Is this something new? Did I miss a firmware update? To my knowledge this camera was not setup with a dual base ISO mode, like the FX3/30. I've heard people say this but there is nothing about this in the manual.

    • @BrianTheCameraGuy
      @BrianTheCameraGuy  Рік тому +3

      They don't always put this in the manual. I have the a7siii, and they don't have that dual iso written anywhere, but it is there. The easiest way to find it is to keep your lens cap on and go into a slog. Then slowly increase your iso until the screen changes the blackness. When it happens, you will notice it and see what I mean. It is sometimes easier to see if you put your eye up to the evf.

      @@BrianTheCameraGuy I’ve heard about that test on the photo side as well, sort of a user check to find which ISO has less noise.

    • @liyonsmith8284
      @liyonsmith8284 Рік тому +3

      Sony has some very specific definition they use for dual base iso, which was a bit over my head. So they have cameras that have it but Sony will never call it that. They're not lying or hiding anything, they're just weirdos 😅

    • @BrianTheCameraGuy
      @BrianTheCameraGuy  Рік тому +1

      I would agree. They have something about not mentioning the dual ISO.

    I liked your video weeks ago. I already have the Sony A7RV... I need a second camera. Its between another A7RV, ZV-E1 or a Sony A7IV... Im going more towards video. This is getting tough.

    • @BrianTheCameraGuy
      @BrianTheCameraGuy  2 місяці тому +2

      If you are going towards video I would go zv-e1. You already have a photo camera. If you want video, you want lower pixels. If you go a7iv then you will probably feel to close to the a7rv.

      @@BrianTheCameraGuy I agree. The think the Sony A7rRV and the Sony ZV-E1 will be the ultimate combo... They both compliment each others strengths and dominate each others weaknesses. Im going to order one later on today. Thank you again.

    The camera has a slighr crop even in 4k24... Tested vs an fx3. Active stabe off too... Did you test it? Maybe i have some weird settings on 😢

    • @BrianTheCameraGuy
      @BrianTheCameraGuy  5 місяців тому +2

      But 8 Bit is a paiiin

    • @BrianTheCameraGuy
      @BrianTheCameraGuy  6 місяців тому +1

      I would agree. 8 bit is so tough to grade and get a consistant look. I really love that Sony upgraded to 10 bit on most of their newer cameras.
