I have six years before it'd be too late for me to join a drum corp on tuba, most likely this one if I do decide to audition. If I audition for a drum corp right after high school (2021, I graduate 2020), I'll have 4 years of marching experience and about 7-8 years experience on tuba.
there were definitely a few battery members with in-ears, so I'm guessing that's how the tempo was communicated via someone in the front ensemble hitting a pad. my other other thought would be a visual cue (flashing light basically) under the stage for them all to see, still triggered by someone in the front.
What's the purpose of counting "1, 2, 3... 5-- 6, 7... 9-- 10, 11... 3-- 4, 5, ..." ? Is that just a fancy Bloo way of counting, or is there a meaningful use to it?
Armando Gaucin I think I'm going to implement some variation of that in my show, during my 56-bar break, just to entertain myself as there isn't much moving around in my band
Bam Bam im a quad player, some helpful tips are to DEFINITELY watch your playing zones at all times. Those are super important, think of the zones as kind of like timpani playing zones. You can get a book called “Quad Logic” by Bill Bachman on the Lone Star Percussion website, i taught myself how to play quads through this book and made the quad line the next season, its a SUPER helpful book with lots of exercises and stuff, and its only $15
Needs so many four door minivans that you can make a car dealership
2022 and I’ll be on this quadline. It’s gonna happen. I’m gonna make it happen.
2023 I will be a Bluecoats and I will be doing trumpet

@@ZmarRidezI think it's his favorite part
Those VOCALS! 😂🤟🏻🔥
Why did you cut out the ballad? How did the battery get time from inside the prop?

Silver Kunai thank you so much! I appreciate the advice!
Practice playing around the different drums
Bam Bam no problem! Glad to help!
The key to looking like you know what you’re doing is relaxed shoulders
Pink tape hats
Green tape hats
Difference?
The corps changes hats in the middle of the show
