I'm not going to lie, my favorite instrument in the bass clef has to be the tuba. They're so low and menacing, yet they can be soft if they want. Like my sister! She's short and scary, but she can be nice sometimes... wait........ she plays tuba................ holy sheeeiiiiitttt............... OoO

An assistant for my high school marching band marched this show on contra and I’ve been rewatching this over and over again trying to find him (his name is Erik and he told me he is the originator of the potion seller vocal)
As a first year marcher in the Spartans tuba line, my high school didn't have any music programs and I go to a community college currently, this video has been really helpful for working on my form by always being able to watch what you guys are doing. I have no idea if we cross paths this summer, but if we do I'll definitely try to say hi!

mel well I marched flute freshman year and contra sophomore year and honestly they’re both painful but the pains with playing contra go away within a month but for the flute, the pain never ends 😣
I'm like a total year late but honestly I'd assume flute's much harder than any marching tuba (in marching of course). You not only have to march, but your breath doesn't have any direction to only go into the instrument, meaning you get much less bang for your buck. Also since flute is a high pitched instrument AND it's quiet naturally you have to blow extra hard to get the sound to the audience. With tuba we're just naturally loud, just the way we like it :D Anyways yeah tuba is much heavier and such but the tradeoff is just much more biased towards tubas. Sorry for the essay or whatever but who cares
