    Hi Ken. I am glad that you are pleased with your purchase's. There are two issue's for me. First. You could have picked up your Tiger at Liddl's for 5.99 new. Second. Airfix did produce a FW Dora 9 but its a very old kit. I remember making mine in the early 80's and unfortunately you have put the undercarriage on the wrong way round. Carefully pull the legs off and swap them round. They should angle forward and not stand vertically. Try to find some pictures of the FW 190 on the ground and you will see what I mean. Put a yellow and red band around the rear fuselage just in front of the tail section and you will have a late war Defence of the Reich aircraft. A very nice paintjob too. I hope my input helps. Well done.

      I think they're on the correct sides but just raked far too far back. All the best.

    Small tank wheels use to be a nightmare to glue in the 70s. Nice purchase. Plane looks great.

      Indeed they were but it was all part of the challenge. Glad that that you liked the Fokke Wulf 190, here l learned a most important lesson - you should never judge a book by its cover. Have a good weekend and C.U.SOON. Regards. Professor Ken.

    Hi Ken. Thankyou for your reply. I have watched your video again and I,m afraid to say that I was right. The undercarriage is on the wrong way round. In your video you show the paint scheme's for the FW 190 and if you look at them you will see that the undercarriage is down. Look at the angle of the legs and you will see what I was talking about. Its an easy fix , just carefully wiggle the legs loose and the swap sides. The wheels should be just in front of the leading edge of the wing. I hope this helps. In ond of your other videos you mention that you could not find any kits of trains. Well look online for Dapol plastic kits or Airfix or Wills or Ian Kirk. They all make kits in OO gauge. Airfix do wagons too and Dapol do coaches. These kits are old but they can be enhanced if you wish to do so. Pick up a Hornby magazine if you want to find other suppliers of parts. I also do model railways in a big way so if you want any answers then please feel free to ask. I have been making models for over forty years so I have a lot of knowledge and experience. Kindest regards.

      Wow, l really do appreciate your comments. Most helpful. The main problem that l now have is storage, l have many display cases which are rapidly filling up and l don't want to build up a stash as l feel that models are to be built rather than not to be touched for donkeys of years. Kindest regards. Professor Ken.

    G'day Ken, Looks to be the 2009 starter set release of the kit, which was the last time the tooling originally from 1976 was released by Airfix. She built up well. Look forward to seeing future videos. Dan

    I made my Airfix Tiger 1 in the early 1970s. Same kit.
    I do hope these antiques didn't cost much.
    Just so you all know, I was severely pee-ed off at the time with the turret sides being two parts and being a pain to fit. An old problem, like 50 years old, to annoy newer builders.
    Good luck. Regards...

      Thanks for visiting, The prices of these were very reasonable and l was happy with my purchasers. I do have to admit hat at times l have had to pay through the nose when l wanted a model that l needed to complete a project. Also l have had the odd kit from eBay with parts missing but on the whole l have been very pleased with my purchases. Regards. Professor Ken.

    Lovely kit to make. Made this kit in the mid 70's and thought it an absolute beauty.
    Unfortunately, and perhaps due to your haste in putting things together, the undercart looks as if its been incorrectly positioned. An easy fix. :)

    • @ken-vc8bf
      @ken-vc8bf  2 місяці тому +1

      THE reason that l started buying kits from eBay was that l needed kits to complete my collections that were no longer in production and this was the only way that l could do it. It all started with the purchase of an Airfix 4 1/2 litre Bentley in the scale 1:32 which was the correct size to match the other car models. Give it a go, let me know how you get on. Regards. Professor Ken.
