    Hi everyone! One of my passions is setting up our booth at small and large craft fairs and trade shows! My second favourite thing to do is go shopping for new ways to display the items my wife and I make and design. Hopefully this gives you some ideas for setting up your own booth :)
    Want to see our recommended list for booth display and design? We have a curated Amazon list for you to check out! This includes several items that we found locally in this video!

    Love your videos and you sharing your knowledge re: shows and how to do displays! I was wondering how you use the maniquins in your displays?

      Hi Susan! Thank you so much! My husbands other passion, besides crafts and music, is selling at shows/booth display/merchandising and he loves sharing what he has learned after doing so many shows. We use the mannequins for our leather corsets/fashion or waist belts/masks/costume pieces . With craft and small markets we do not apply to be juried for those pieces since there is no interest in them at these shows so they take up valuable retail space. We mainly display them at comic expos or cons when we rent a 10 x 20 foot booth. Tanner will have a spot light just over the mannequins so they stand out (he runs a second pipe right about the back of the booth. We have a lot of extra pipe and drape we bought 2nd hand and basically create a large shadow box). They are often on those small inexpensive IKEA tables so they are the same height as the pipe and drape.
      We also use them to display at different galleries if we are doing a wearable art exhibit. Often galleries only have so many mannequins so we felt it was worth it to invest in ones we like.
      If you have a half mannequin, and want to use it at your booth, you can add on a simple clothing piece that really makes your pieces stand out (often a solid one color top or blouse - black or white). This works really well if you have an elaborate, large, statement piece that you want to showcase. Especially if it's an over the top set with earrings, necklace and bracelets. You know one of those insanely fun pieces to create but are worried about never selling it 😂. Attendees may not be interested in buying your largest statement piece but they will often look over smaller affordable versions of it (we like to call this show stoppers because everyone has to "stop" and take a look and ask who would wear such a large extravagant piece lol).
      We have quite a few mannequins for every type of work now including one the exact size of our daughter for showcasing our kids hair items, her jewelry she makes, small purses and soon to sell at the shows kids t-shirts (with our daughters designs on them).

    Where did you get the wire hanging racks? I have been looking for them for an upcoming show

      Hi Terri! if you are looking on Amazon.com there is something here here amzn.to/2oFIXtl and amzn.to/2qcMxMh On amazon.ca you can find one like this amzn.to/2qcI5gr or amzn.to/35yNlLh . I use the basket ones more for a couple of reasons 1. they are narrower because the booth is often cramped like it is in the video. 2. they hold the items at a slight angle so the item stays in place better than a flat shelf. But depending on the item a flat shelf may work better for you.

    Great video! I'm an artist based in Edmonton as well. Can you tell me where you got all of your supplies, especially the gridwall? Thanks!

      Hey Sherry! that's awesome! We get most of our grid wall supplies and grid wall accessories from Eddie's Hang-Up Displays on Yellowhead Trail 😀

    I looked at your shop but I didn’t see the corner grid wall can you point me to that ? My show had canvas paintings and we have a table but no real booth set up. Also where I can get mannequins

    • @AmyTannerSkrocki
      @AmyTannerSkrocki  4 роки тому

      Hi Keshna! I bought that locally. It may be something difficult to source. If I'm able to find it on Amazon I will link it here :) For mannequins - Google "retail displays" in your area to see if anyone sell them locally. Also Staples, here in Canada, was actually selling them online!! They have a great selection of all sizes! I also bought several vintage mannequins off Ebay so that may be another great place to look! Hopefully you find everything you need!

      @@AmyTannerSkrocki I'm so happy you wrote back. I was able to use three racks and got a sign made too. It worked out great only the racks I purchased were really short. I managed to use a table top as well as the rack to show off my display. Do they come in taller sizes?

    • @AmyTannerSkrocki
      @AmyTannerSkrocki  4 роки тому +1

      @@keshnadonia Yes, the wire racks come in multiple sizes! the tallest I've ever seen was 8 feet! We have 4 x 2 feet and 4 x 5 feet. My goal is to convince my wife to buy the 2 x7. I spend way too much on booth displays already so it will take some time to convince her. Those are optimal if you want to put lights or signs on top. Many shows cap your height at 8 feet. 😅This is where I buy my grid wall and displays in town www.eddies.com/ try typing some of those names into Amazon to see if there is anything similar in size. I don't know if this company ships all over the world or not.
