Ventilator settings | VCV vs PCV | Volume Control Ventilation VS Pressure Control Ventilation

In Assist. Control mode Two types: 1) Volume Control, 2) Pressure control.
Is This Two assist control modes required complete sedation..?

AC requires complete sedation. All breaths are machine controlled.
