I was actually disappointed when I didn’t see an experiment with the Magic cards 😵😬 A video about it would make my day 🤩

Love the versatility of the Art unBlocks one. Especially for sketchbooks. I also like the different ways that you can use the Paint Chip Poetry set. Ahh yes, the colour cubs. I would love having all those references. Maybe one day. I've been loving the Reverse Colouring Book videos I've been seeing. It's on my list of things I want to try. Can be great for practicing linework as well.
Ohh. Yes. sketchbook drawings or paintings for the Art unBlocks and Paint Chip Poetry, please. The Colour Blocks can be fun to see how you approach it as well.
I also have to thank you for the warning about the spiritual based items. They definitely aren't items I would feel comfortable using, but they are pretty cool for people who don't mind the oracle deck nature of them. I also felt safe knowing that I could skip ahead if I saw anything that made me uncomfortable.

Thanks for watching, Maria!! I will definitely have to do videos with the Art Unblocks. Color cubes, and Paint Chip Poetry soon!!
And, no problem about the warning. I know things like oracle and terot decks aren't everyone's cup of tea. I try to be as respectful as I can when it comes to different belief systems. 💖

Love the inspiration box idea. Need to make my own. Particularly for sketchbook time. Or one for my sketchbook and one for fully developed pieces. Yes. I think I will have to make two.

I've wanted the color cubes since Sarah Renae Clark introduced them, but I'm not sure how much I'd use them, and they aren't cheap, especially with shipping. Maybe if they go on sale sometime...
For now, I like the homemade box idea. I have several lists of sketchbook ideas taped inside the front cover, but a box is a fun format--and decorating it is a project itself =)

I had a blast making my box! It takes up more space than a book, though, so it just depends on what works for you! I do love the book idea too!

DIY versions of some of those Shana's shown us, because it's far more fun to make our own ideas boxes over a period of time (as Shana showed us at the end!):
1: A DIY version of the dice would be to make lists (numbers = list category but there may be others I've missed) :
    (1) *subjects / topics* (add to these as ideas come), (2) *colours* (include monochrome, two or three colour challenge, black and white and greyscale), (3) *medium* (list what we have), (4) *style* (realistic, abstract, pop art, cartoons, portrait, people, landscape (add weather & season ideas to landscape: stormy sunny, cloudy, etc), . (5) *shapes* (6) *mood*
Number the list contents and use one, a pair, or three ordinary dice (depending on how many ideas on your lists!) to decide which to use.
2: DIY cards: As above but onto cards. For boxes? We have lots of things we buy in boxes and it's easy enough to convert one. Teabag boxes would be a good one.
3: Another DIY version of the box would be to divide it into sections for these these categories, ^^^ with the largest section for ideas.
4: DIY reverse colouring is simple to do: in a cheap -ish sketchbook, do some random colour mixes (as we do for a painting - those random shapes on scraps of paper) with paint and coloured pencil, filling it over a period of a few days. Then go back and turn the sketchbook round in its four aspects and see what you can see in those swatches and draw round them.
I do this with my RealLife swatches. I dont throw them out, but pick one at random and play. find all sorts of things, from people, to trees, houses, boats, birds, animals, cup cakes, icecream, fish .... As I said, 'Allsorts'. The idea to do them in a book is prompted by the reverse colouring book, and stretches the imagination far more!
There really is no need to buy anything !!! (Ok, a cheap-ish sketchbook for those reverse colouring things, but we have everything else, if we look at our store cupboards!) but certainly not those books.
*A final couple of ideas: 1:* Get out into the local scene and take photos - lots of photos and make your onw reference gallery!!! *2:* Get out into the local scene with sketchbook and pencil and draw what you see. From an all round health point of view, these are the best of the lot.
If the budget stretches to it, _and the library can't help_ (sadly, the enormous one here is pretty useless for reference books of any kind - the small one in our village in the UK had far, far more!!!), well-illustrated art books (depending on your particular interests) to browse through are worth saving for, though. And don't forget to look for pre-loved art books - good value, and there are a lot available!
Look for virtual museum / art gallery tours, too, if you can't afford the books and the library can't help. The only problem with either books or virtual tours is getting so interested in what we're reading / looking at that we don't get around to painting, but it's a great deal more profitable and useful for feeding our imagination than endless scrolling through the internet.
Hoping this helps someone (or even a few folk!) 😄
