I think I fell in love with everyone on this episode, seeing how caring Dane was with his dad Maurice, and how much Daisy and her dad loved one and other, seeing how loving the staff is, there’s nothing better than a staff that works well together and has appreciation for each other. Even Hectors mum was so considerate of the other patients, and how she defended Hectors honor, worrying that something might happen to his as a result of the bite.

Both of my parents died in their 70’s. Being a care giver is hard work but rewarding. You find out a lot of their funny quirks 😂. We had a large family, nine kids, therefore we had plenty of people to,help out when mom went into a home after breaking her hip and getting dementia. She couldn’t live alone therefore went into a home. She loved her nurses and we made sure there was someone, as in family, with her at all times!

Love Daisy and her father. “Never thought I would be a father, figured there had to be a mad woman out there to do the other part of the deal.” Someone who waits to be a parent sometimes with age appreciate it more, then one so gifted so early. Not that both aren’t precious but sometimes anticipation makes the deal sweeter. Daddy’s girl and momma’s boys are precious. ❤😊 opposites as well, all children are precious. And if all children took care of their parents as some did here the world would be a better place.
Some cultures are far better then we are . Usually the saying is a “son is a son till he takes a wife. A daughter is a daughter for all of her life.” Beautiful to see when others break the molds of love. Love always win when we let it. ❤

I burnt my leg when I was a child. Boiling water down my one leg and when they took my leotards off all the skin went with it. Fifty years ago they didn't have the non-stick gauze, just regular gauze and the burn would seep body fluid and it would harden basically making a gauze scab that would have to be ripped off every week. Hopefully Daisy didn't have to experience anything like that. But I'm sure the skin graft was painful. But with her father's support she is very resiliant.

I really appreciated the nurse being honest with children and she understands what it would mean if she said otherwise. I had been to the hospital a few times as a child and I would refuse treatment from a nurse that said nothing was going to hurt, I'd get another nurse that was honest with me. It really makes a huge difference, childrens emotions are very complex and when they are put into scary situations it becomes even more heightened.

Your NOT the Only 1! Of Aaalll the times I was in the ER or The Hospital... I Remember my Father ONLY.. ONCE... being their. When I was 5 I had MAJOR surgery(for a 5 yr old)... I have ONE memory of opening my eyes when they were settling me back in my bed & seeing my father leaning on the TV... and THAT, Was ALL I saw of him the whole 3 weeks.. while my Mom, after several nights, I remember this kinda Rude woman & a bit stern woman.. INSISTING.. My Mom NEEDED to GO HOME.. that I REALLY didn't "need" her still there! I REEAALLY DIDN'T LIKE THAT MEAN WOMAN.. making my Mom go home! lol. Anyway.. it was ALWAYS My MOM... who was ALWAYS with me and looking after me... sitting st the foot of my bed and singing to me, sitting in the living room, playing the guitar for me (which my father Hated)

Daisy's Dad was amazing with her...he really did a wonderful job of calming her down & reassuring her too. What a wonderful father!! They will forever be close now, because of this accident & their experience going through it together. I so wish all fathers could be this way, with their children...it's doesn't take just a Mom to raise children...it takes the Dad too. When something like this happens, it's so reassuring to see a Dad be able to step up & do such a fantastic job!! Bravo!!♥

I had an aunt who was badly burned like Daisy was; when she grew up and got married, her burn scars kept her from having children, so they adopted. Look up nurse Mary Breckinridge, founder of the Frontier Nursing Service. She treated many children with similar burns in Kentucky in the first half of the 20th century. She solved the problem by getting overalls for the little girls in her area, so their dresses wouldn't catch fire anymore.

Most parents would do exactly what Daisy’s dad did. As it should be. Not so many children would do what Maurice’s son does. As it should be.

At first the rich woman seems cocky. But then she talks about her students you can tell she loves them & loves her job as a teacher and families spending time together. Then she felt bad for taking up bed space for a cat bite worried that someone in more serious condition might come in & need it. And the cat bite could turn into something serious. Shows you can't judge a book by its cover. Yea she might be a little up there but you can tell she's got a beautiful heart regardless. 😊
I had a niece that had a stray cat that stayed out side there house it wouldn't let them touch it. One day it got in the house. Her mom told her to try to get it out. It was backed into a corner she bent to pick it up and it scratched her face and eye. They took her to the hospital she was hospitalized because she lost eye site in tht eye and it got real infected and her blood pressure got real high and she a bad fever. And they found out the cat had a rare fungal disease and they transferred her to a better hospital called duke university in nc. They had only seen this disease in 4 other people in the world . The disease came from a animal that lives in the tropic areas . They told us there had only been 4 other people that was reported to have gotten this disease from a animal bite or scratch in the world. My niece made number 5. It was crazy she never did get her eye site back. But she lives a normal life and is doing very well for herself .
