This kid is a literal example of every kid in my class. I thought this was in every school, but after reading the comments, I’m corrected. It’s honestly sad how my class can’t even get past the started work without there being at least one kid singing, another on their phones, actually most on their phones.

I feel terrible for him. I used to feel very angry all of the time, not at the level of Jebb but still very irritable. Poor Jebb. I'm glad he gets his happy ending :)

Yo, I love my head, there was this kid that was just walking around my class and it got to the point that teachers were chasing him around my class and all that happened was that he had to sit with the head with no punishments whatsoever.
No, she didn’t get straight to the point with him, he needed tough love. She was too nice, he needed to be told the truth. That attitude of his won’t get him far in life, he needed to learn that early, and she didn’t reveal the consequences to him. I don’t rate her at all.

Dealt with numerous behavioral issues in the classroom over the years. I've watched countless videos of 'problem students'; however, Jeb touched my heart. This child can be saved.

I was troublesome at secondary school, always having melt downs, screaming, being rude to teachers, etc. I was removed from school at 14. Missed GCSE, A-Levels, college. I was since diagnosed with Asperger's, but I regret every day of my life that I never completed my education. I'm 37, I'm unemployed, I have no friends, no girlfriend/wife, no independence. Don't leave school, kids. Biggest mistake you'll ever make I promise.

i go to school in australia and fights break out resulting in literally no punishments and swearing is pretty much all good depends on the word or how old the teacher - it’s a weird sensation to watch the british school system and it seems really strict but i reckon it’s cool

We need to teach kids to think differently, to manage their emotions. they don't have the skills to monitor themselves or experience to choose a different response. They have to be taught and have it reinforced over and over - teaching them self awareness (why did you get angry? What was the real feeling behind it? What can you do differently next time? What might be another way to frame the situation?). Just punishing them or excluding them doesn't teach them anything except reinforces the fact they are unloveable and cannot be helped
The fact that she cried because she had to exclude jebb permanently is so heartbreaking it shows that she obvs cares so much about all the individuals no matter how annoying it bad they are and that’s what makes her a good principal
