CLARIFICATION: Your fighters will engage with Bandits immediately upon entering an area with them (or vice versa). You do not wait until the next Move step.
Hey everyone! I hope you liked the video. If you did, I'd love to think I earned your subscription. It really helps me to get more of these great games to show off! You can also help by subscribing to my Patreon: www.patreon.com/wargaminghansen
I was surprised to see that you don't dogfight every time fighters meet, and that you don't have to maneuver against bombers. I have to review the rules again. I did enjoy your demonstration. Nice video.
The rules on engagements and dogfighting are not clear from the rules as written, but the designer (Chuck) is making a good effort to make sure they are understood by posting videos explaining them, and I appreciate that.
Sorry that Im Late to the party but Just for a clarification: You take ALL Bndit/Sites Counters for the applicable campaign YEAR into the draw cup not only the one mentioned. Thats something Chuck seegert clarified on his UA-cam channel. Only in Dogfights Mission you Need to draw that explicit bandits.
Thanks Manuel, good clarification. In reality, there are so many bandit/site chits for each year that my normal draw cups can't hold them all, and so I always just end up using only some of them.
@@WayneHansen haha, I use some Clothbags. Works fantastic. Good Channel btw and I like your honest and fair opinions about games which cost me a bit in the last year starting the solo plays 😅😬👍
not sure that the bandits in the target square can move.. I think they have to stay there. Is it possible ? And the enemy planes are not supposed to maneuvre first ?
Mission Objective Aircraft stay in the center area. In this case, that is the bombers. That means the bandits can and will move towards my aircraft. As for your second question, I made some mistakes in how Maneuvering works in this game, thankfully the designer Chuck Seegert has posted corrections.

Great video................but........... I think those B-17's might have wanted to shoot at you before you destroyed them!!

Yes, that was not correct.

Don't blame me, blame all these great games coming out! lol. Thank you though!
Is there no home-bound event if you are on a bomber mission (or did you just miss it out)?
There is one, I just forgot to draw it. Must have been the excitement from a mission completed haha.
@@WayneHansen OK, great video though
@@WayneHansen I do that sooooooooooooo often!!

@@WayneHansen i wasn't really sur about the bandits. the rule on page 8, is not that clear..... for me :)
Bombers perform their defensive fire after you maneuver but BEFORE the fighter attacks. So they all should have shot at You first.
Thanks Greg, I know Chuck pointed that out somewhere, but an important correction.
A bit to easy to shoot down B-17’s
