NYC Subway 1972 D trains at Kings Highway (OpenBVE)

- Reviving a long gone era of the NYC subway using OpenBVE, a simple train simulator game...
Some D express train action at Kings Highway with R32, R42 and R44 trains in 1972, during a morning rush.
Due to a train with technical issues on the uptown local track, some QB and QJ trains switched to the express track towards the end of the video.
Note that this is a WIP 1970s Brighton Line that is currently for testing purposes, so it still looks relatively empty.
All models built by myself.

Well although your project is private, but it looks so good that it makes feel like a good old Nostalgia moments, and I absolutely love the details of the R44, it just looks very realistic that it makes me want to think of the 1970's.
The detail feels like this isn’t even openbve I love the railgaps too. Nice work!

I thought I was only one felt that way about the R44s and LIRR they sounded aggressively taking off sounded like it was a hot volcano underneath the wheels of the train 😮

Nostalgia trains
I still remember in 1972, when the D ran, R32s, 42s and 44s. The only thing that was missing were R27s and 30s on the QB and QJ trains.
Unfortunately I still haven't made those trains yet. I will start them soon

I don't know about the 1972 time frame, but I rode the D (... And the CC) from 205th St to 161 St. to High School from 1974 to 1978! During that period the D ran mostly R32 42 and 44's. There was one short period where they ran R27/R30's ( If I remember correctly closer to the later years in that period) but it was rare. During that period they were rarely seen on the CC a long side their Arnines and R10's. Also during the latter. period they added some R40M''s but mostly ran them, intermixed with the R42's., rather than full consists of R40M's, though some were! Other notable sightings on the "D" during that period was the SOAC demonstration train In the summer of 74!

@@worldwidetransitsimulationchan Agree! If I was to change anything to make it even more accurate,it would be the car number s on the R44's! On the D during that time, they ran with car number series #3xx. The#1xx series was found on the A train, but that's nitpicking!😀
@@tf51d OH really.. I learned something new today. Only the #3xx series R44's was on the (D). Thank 😊 you for that nugget.. When I started riding the subway in the 80's, the (D) line was full of everything.. Slant R-40's and Straight end R40's, R42's , R32's and then the R68's started there invasion and it's never been the same since..
@@tf51d I haven't made the definite R44 sets yet, the set in the video is still the one that was tested on both A and D lines with 207th street rollsigns prior to their official revenue service in April of 1972, then those were sent to Jamaica where they ran on the E and F lines while the #2xx and #3xx series arrived in mid-late 1972 and 1973.
The R44 fleet was organized as such:
-Jamaica group (E and F lines): cars #100 - #259
-207th Street group (A and D lines): cars #260 - #387
-SIRT: cars #388 - #466

No complaints here when you get a chance do 1968 1970 years With the D train running with all the rolling stock of R1 R9 R16 R27 R30 R32 R38 R40 R42 M40 with other trains running with the D Train QB QJ have them racing and by passing each other love you too do one with WTC backdrop with The F GG at Smith 9th Street 1973 tribute to the WTC game changer you got the best Quality of BVE trains you did the best R44 it looked better than R32 R42 the graphics is crisp and clean 🪥🫧

it's probably just attention to detail about how the subway system was decaying in the 70s to 90s and the depot shops didn't have proper maintenance

Comme j'ai vu que tu as fait des vidéo sur le reseau pendant l'été dernier et après la rentre scolaire, pendant la déviation du Seine marathon ainsi qu'une présentation du nouveau Man IDFM que j'ai visiter pendant mon stage, je me suis dit que je pouvait te transmettre l'information suivante
Il y a un nouveau bus électrique de la marque EBUSCO version trois porte qui est en test en ce moment sur la ligne T1 du réseau astuce.
Il est accessible sans titre de transport et pour le repéré c'est l'horaire indiqué avec une étoile car il n'est pas connecté au réseau.
Plusieurs version quatres portes seront peut-être en service pendant l'armada le 8 juin. Donc si tu veux hésite pas un faire un tour à Rouen.
