A rock flying right into your windshield could change your life forever in a split second. Many incidents are accidents, but imagine if it was a deliberate act. Five teens from Michigan are accused of throwing six-pound rocks off an overpass. Now they are in shackles and their families are in a state of shock. The prank, called "dinging," killed 32-year-old Kenneth White. The teens pled not guilty to second degree murder charges at their arraignment. #InsideEdition

I live in a flat in London and me and my friends went out for about 5-6 hours as usual and on the way back home, one of my friends came up with this random idea by saying. "Lets chuck rocks at moving cars and then run away!" At first, we were all confused about the sudden idea, my other friend then agreed with him and said, "Lets do it! It'll be fun!" Then my other friend decided to go along with them as he was peer pressured in a way. I said to them that the idea was way too far, it could get somebody badly injured, and that a prank was a prank, but this dumb idea was over the line, we were near our house and I said that I'm gonna go home. So, I made a decision to just walk home and let them do whatever they wanted to do. All of my friends had a group chat (including me) on Snapchat and 5 minutes later, one of my friends went live on their Snapchat story to record themselves chucking rocks at moving cars. As they were live, they were at a dual carriageway and chucked rocks at about 10-15 cars for about 3-4 minutes, until one of my friends decided to chuck a rock about 8-10 inches wide, it went horribly wrong. It went through the windshield of a Range Rover car that was passing by, there was a married couple in there from what I was assuming, it broke half of the female's face (including a broken jaw and 7 teeth that fell out) this also gave a minor injury to the male's arm and wrist. The male decided to call the police and the police station was about half a mile away from my house, they came to the scene in about 5 minutes, as one of my friend's was still live, my friends ran away as they heard sirens from the police cars, my friend who was live on Snapchat, the police managed to track down my friends along with the male's information he gave to the police, my friends went to court for about 2 weeks and all of them were facing charges of attempted murder. The male and female (the married couple) told the judge not to sentence them for a long time but to be punished enough so they would never think about doing such a thing. My friends were 13-14 years old. If the male and female did not tell the judge to not sentence them to prison/jail for a long time, my friends would have been sentenced to 12 years behind bars, they all served 18 months, 12 months for a detention training order and the other 6 months with a community sentence. They have changed a lot after this incident, they were lucky to have such a low sentence for such crime. This is why you should never do dumb and stupid pranks.

If you're wondering what happened to these delinquents they have been in jail since 2017 however one of the older ones has gotten parole in 2020 and if you think that's a bad thing trust me a second degree murder charge won't look good on any resume and they'll find it very very hard to find work and we'll probably end up going straight down into poverty.

KaylaLikesBroadway I worked a murder case (for the Public Defender not as an attorney) and I saw what some minors were capable of...it's really scary. There were these 2 kids in particular...they robbed an old man, took his van and dumped it in a lake, killed the old man, and put him in a jacuzzi with a bunch of bleach. When I saw the crime scene photos, it really took my breath away. What's interesting is working for the Defense is always pulling at your emotions. There were plenty of times people were locked up wrongfully and thank goodness for their Public Defender. But when it's very obvious that it was a brutal murder, we still had to serve those people and try to get them the best deal. Strange "justice" system.
To the other video that had the man crying as he stopped the car.
The video is called the 'Russian Brick' video. A brick supposedly came flying out of a truck or a factory (I honestly don't know), and it hit the windshield, the driver's wife died instantly. There was also a couple in the backseat with them, that's why you can hear a baby crying in the video as well.
I feel so sorry for the people who either lost their lives or saw somebody lose it because of these types of situations.

Throwing rocks and bricks at cars is extremely dangerous and can kill someone easily, but teenagers don't tend to think about that unless it actually happens. Their under-developed brains tend to work that way.

The Prank:
Something similar happened to me when I was a kid around 2yrs old. Me and my little brother were in the back of the car when my dad was driving under an overpass. It was at night and some kids probably around 15-16 managed to get hold of some junk boiler and threw it over. Luckily it landed on the roof of the car just behind the sunroof. The kids made a runner but were caught by cops. The Police asked if we wanted to take it further but my dad let the kids off (saving them from jail time after telling them off), hopefully they learnt from that and never tried anything stupid again.
Honestly I would've pressed charges to repair the car

Throwing 6-pound rocks, and they were spotted throwing several, off of an overpass at cars traveling at 65-mph was a deliberate act. This was no more an accident than dropping knives from the top of a building into a crowd of people below. They all deserve to go to prison or the rest of their lives.
