The cops didn't treat the victims as criminals. Before the cops can start interviewing people they first need to make sure nobody has a weapon in his hand. That's exactly what they did. No shouted commands, no ordering them face down on the ground, no handcuffs, like they'd do to a criminal; they simply told him to keep his hands visible.
Here in England, when someone has been burgled, the police doesnt even turn up when it has happened. They give you a crime number, and the police turn up a week later. Because they are too busy arresting people on social media for hurty words. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🙄
No, the cops didn't treat the resident like a criminal. 🤦 Did they order him to the floor and put a knee on his back like he was a criminal? No. Did they tell him to keep his hands visible, just like everyone is supposed to do when they get pulled over for a speeding ticket? Yes. Before the cops can start interviewing people they first need to make sure nobody has a weapon in his hand. That's exactly what they did.

Whenever i miss my maintenance workers appointment , they just usually leave a note to say that no one was available at the time of their visit. These guys on the other hand are complete professionals and do everything to gain entry to get the job done, even if it means coming under fire .
I don't know in what state you live in???? Not in Texas, a note will not do. Climate change is for you. The maintenance men, not shot and 6' under is terrible. They live to did it again another day to someone else.
When I lived in an apt 2nd floor, whenever maintanence would enter with my permission from front office, they would leave a note. Where is the front office people authorizing this 'guy' to knock on people's door? Unless this apt complex is open to everyone who enters. Crazy.
I could see why he could be in trouble... Obviously you guys need to brush up on the weapon safety rules. Such as know your target and what lies beyond it... If this happened in a house clean shoot but not in an apt with innocents down range.
When you use force like this to enter someone else’s property, you don’t deserve to have any rights. Life is not getting any safer and it seems criminals are getting away with more crime with just a slap on the wrist. Shame on the ‘law’ makers.
Yeah truly scary to think about if they had got in. They def had a loaded weapon and maybe would have given no F's to hurt someone once they broke inside. Super scary to consider. You know this apt door can't be THAT strong. But hey, I'm shocked and glad the apt door was pretty strong. Those dudes were trying hard.
In the US: true, because you already have reached a state, where every idiot possesses a gun and can rob your home. In Europe: We´re glad we have very few of situations like these and in most cases, police call is totally sufficient. And we´re glad, nobody is allowed to carry a gun, so we don´t have mass shootings every day and other incidents related to guns. America is a great country, but this gun situation is just ridiculously out of control. It is one of the mayor reasons many Europeans would not want to move to the US.
if history serves any reference, police are the 1st to run away from gun (or any) violence. Texas Police Stopped Parents Rushing In To Save Children From Shooter-Video.

@@aditya6201 no we do not need guns. America is literally dangerous (over 300 shooting deaths per day) because we have guns. But now guns can be handheld machine guns.
I think every shot hit its target. I don’t think the resident was trying to send bullets zipping through his neighbors door on the other side of the hallway.
The OP is correct. This is a random spray, like teen gangsters on the street. Holes in the neighbor's walls and door with a spread of 6 to 10 feet and four feet up and down. As there were no groaning or lifeless bodies there when the officers arrived, that I can see in the video, then the shooter missed. With proper training and a level head, this could have been much more effective and minimizing the collateral violence. Buying a gun does not make one proficient, nor does just farting around in a vacant lot...but even that practice would have helped.
