    I have sailed with both InterIslander and Bluebridge. My preference is Bluebridge, although, InterIslander has more ships, hence more sailing options. I undersatnd that the foundation of Bluebridge is a Freight line. Truck drivers can eat and rest during the voyage and that seems to explain the really nice economic substantial meal options that we had - Delicious. I think somehow those were either off the menu when you sailed, or you missed noticing. Sailings are always dependent on the weather for both ferry lines, so I brought the transfer/refund option passage just in case - and yes the cabin too. I recommend.

    We just found your video and we think it's awesome. About how long did it take for you to get off of the ferry once it got into port? We're going to be on foot but we're trying to time ourselves catching the train after arrival and looking for time frames.

    • @NZPocketGuide
      @NZPocketGuide  3 місяці тому

      Thanks so much for the kind words! Once the ferry docks, it typically takes about 15-30 minutes for foot passengers to disembark, depending on the number of passengers and how quickly the unloading process goes. If you're catching a train afterward, I’d recommend giving yourself at least 45 minutes to an hour as a buffer, just to be safe.

    We used the 1st Class Lounge on Inter islander in February. Seemed expensive at first but with all food and drink included it was good value. If I take my grandchildren in there next year I shall have to warn them in advance so they can have extra ice cream available!

      Bluebridge is indeed a popular choice for many pro-travelers in New Zealand as they have great facilities for them I think.

    Hello guys! I have a question? I applied for a working holiday and it got granted. However, I applied for it one year ago last month so it has now expired for being able to enter within the one year. Am I able to reapply for the working holiday and just pay again?
    (I’m from the UK)
    Thanks!

      I'm not sure, this is usually a one-off. You may want to contact immigration NZ directly and check in with them :)

    Whow, the ferries in Brazil are dwarf compared to the ferries of Newzealand...

    • @NZPocketGuide
      @NZPocketGuide  10 місяців тому

      It's quite fascinating to compare ferries from different parts of the world, isn't it? New Zealand's ferries, especially those that traverse the Cook Strait between the North and South Islands, are indeed impressive in size and capability. They're designed to handle the often challenging sea conditions of the Strait, and also carry a significant number of passengers and vehicles, including large trucks and campervans.
      What are they like in Brazil?!

      @@NZPocketGuide The ferries in Brazil have the size of a boat to ride in rivers. They have space for cars, but only small cars, that cars used by families.
