Update Post: I gave Zeiggreymon a very glossed over review. This card's an on play and when digivolving effect that de-digivolves 2 on one of your opponent's Digimon. Then if your opponent has 2 or more Digimon, you get to return a level 4 or lower Digimon. It's on deletion effect allows you to play a Blue Flare or Xros Heart Trait Digimon with a play cost of 5 or less from under any of your tamers without paying the cost, then save. So in a way, you're able to further de-digivolve with BT19 Metalgreymon, and also potentially bounce a level 4 or lower. I do kind of wish it was higher level, but beggers can't be choosers. The on deletion effect is nifty, considering it works well in a Xros Heart deck as well and let's you go into that Shoutmon EX-6. While also potentially playing out rush Greymon again for more damage.
4:42, I have seen a list that plays Koh & Sayo off of her effect to DeDigivolve a Galaxy and free evo this card into a Quartzmon.... 5 Memory Quartzmon from hand that gets its Evo effect..
The one funny thing to note about the new twilight cards is that lumina being a level 5 with save in its text means a darknight build running it has a very funny way to access Quartzmon of they were so inclined to.
I really like the _idea_ behind Shademon and the Luminamons. Cards that had the interaction and traits to theoretically be played in any of the Xros Wars manga decks from their set; Xros Heart, Blue Flare, Twilight, or Milleniummon. I just...wish they were better implemented to be useful in each of those decks, because as is, barely any are interested. Blue Flare technically has a Nene, but no Saving Shademon so it's not gonna be using that, and normal Luminamon can search for them but is not searchable by itself. And Luminamon Nene has reduced combo potential in the deck anyway, their Digi-xros Digimon save all their materials. I mean just targeting the opponent's stuff with the deletion effect is hardly bad, but it's got less options compared to other decks is what I'm saying. They can at least use the On Delete but...yeah there's otherwise nothing enticing them. Xros Heart has no use for Nene or Shademon, but at least Luminamon does _something_ for them. A searchable searcher that also plays a Tamer sounds good...but the Save is kind of useless because it can't be used in anything so...yeah. Luminamon Nene can at least combo with their Xros Digimon; since you can play out one, save 3, then use their good On Plays from there...though I don't know enough about the deck now to say if that'd be worth a Digi-xrossed stack. At least they too can play out something from a Tamer for the same effect. Twilight at least has theoretical use for all of these guys. Nene & Shademon are already great searchable searchers, Luminamon is also a searcher and Tamer-player, and Nene can at least combo as well with the new DarkKnightmon as well as with any Shoutmon. Though considering you'll probably be using up a tucked-Shademon to play it, you probably won't be using the On Delete much. Plus it's not even as if DarkKnightmon _wants_ to delete itself; it's just good at bouncing back from it. Lastly, Composite makes great use of everything but Luminamon. Shademon's a good searcher, Nene is a good Tamer, and they genuinely love Luminamon Nene blowing up their stuff to play smaller stuff while triggering On Delete effects. Why if they had a reason to use it, they even have a good way to trigger Lumina-Nene's on Delete too...shame they don't because their only Save target is probably under Lumina-Nene when she gets deleated, but you know. They're usable in all 4 decks, but don't reach their full potential in any of them. I think they'd see much more play with a few simple changes: 1. make the Luminamons Blue Flare as well as Xros Heart. 2. Change Luminamon's On Delete from To something useful. (Bonus points: Quartzmon Galaxy can't use her.) Maybe something like "[On Delete] Place 1 Digimon with the [Xros Heart], [Blue Flare], or [Twilight] Trait and a play cost of 5 or less from your Trash underneath one of your Tamers." 3. Give Shademon & Luminamon some inheritables to make use of for these combos. Especially Shademon to make up for the Memory Setter you're giving up to use him for Lumina-Nene. Maybe something like "[All Turns] [Once per turn] If another level 5 or higher Digimon you control would be deleted, if you do not control a Tamer with the [General] Trait, you may play one [Nene Amano] from your hand or Trash without paying the cost. Then, you may place 1 Digimon with the [Xros Heart], [Blue Flare], or [Twilight] Trait and a play cost of 5 or less from your Trash or from underneath this card's Digivolution sources under one of your Tamers. I don't know if that would be over-designed; but I do think it would accomplish what they were originally going for.
After reading over the Luminamon cards, I sat there for a second thinking.. am I missing something? Why is she a secret? Is the card actually good? I remember when people were crapping on the Greymon from BT17 and then it's price spiked. So is it just going to be a waifu tax card that holds no purpose? Either way... uh...
@@DIGI-PANDA Their problem is that they were ambitiously designed but not powerful enough to reach their ambitions. Not even the SEC card. Like I said, they were designed to be used in upwards of 4 very different decks and able to do something in all of them...but they aren't good enough at what they do for any of them to replace the cards they already have. The only exception seems to be Composite, because there actually are some neat combos involved in using a Lumina-Nene to target your own Kimeramon or Machinedramon. Although even those combos aren't _crazy_ good or anything.
Blue Flare has been one of my favorite decks to play! I know that I'm gonna play Necromon this set, but I have plans to upgrade my Blue Flare deck with the only copy of Jesmon GX for this build
Necromon is going to be hella fun - I'm partial right now to feel that some of the decks that are getting upgrades are late to the game because of Medievalgallantmon.
6:50. I'd disagree. You could totally use the new Metalgreymon to digivolve into a DeckerGreymon on attack, then set up a reboot blocker with armor purge. This, combined with the de digivolve on attack can really put the breaks on potential plays your opponent has access tonon their turn.
You most definitely can! In looking over a lot of the lists on digimonmeta.com deckerdramon seems to have been dropped from the level 4's entirely - with the focus being Metalgreymon only.
@DIGI-PANDA that's my plan once I get the new cards. I haven't played DeckerGreymon ever since EX4. Which is a shame, it's a cool idea. Deckerdramon isn't worth the slots to get the full effect unfortunately. What they need to do is give us a new DeckerGreymon with the + cyberlauncher effect of counting as both.
You're 100% right. I briefly glossed over it but didn't dive too deep on this. I noticed I talked about it's inheritable but I didn't talk much about it's overall effect. I really like the de-digivolve 2 effect on it, and it has potential to return a level 4 or lower, but I wish it returned higher level Digimon. On deletion also felt standard, though I liked Xros Heart's ability more with leaving play.
@@DIGI-PANDA i mean, i would get it if the archetype would make like 2 donkey kong mons a turn but almost always is paying 4 for anything, jts crazy how they dont want it to succeed,BUT THE TWILIGHT SOCIETY WILL RISE UP AGAIN!

I heard about this combo recently as well! I just don't know how consistent it is though :(

This is true, but this also feels like you're reducing consistency for the sake of memes.
@DIGI-PANDA completely fair. At the very least its a nice support for hunters decks for the 2 budget players out there playing them
@@thunderhogTH That I could definitely see! Who knows? Maybe with BT21 we'll see even more support since Hunters is theoretically back again.
I just want DarkKnightmon support.
We got that in Special Booster 2.0! I just.. don't think it was enough.
Definitely wasn't enough as a DarkKnights LKMX player. But it was *enough* to update the deck to still work @@DIGI-PANDA
Naw, it wasn't enough. I also wish that the price of the promo Skullknight would come down or get reprinted. @@DIGI-PANDA

It feels bad. They have no outs to medieval gallantmon. Unless blue flare/darkknigh run their own medieval gallants.
Heh. If you can't beat'em. Join'em.
Did the ZeigGreymon portion get skipped?
Hindsight, I should've given this Zeiggreymon more time. I'll go ahead and drop an update comment at the top that's pinned.

@DIGI-PANDA honestly, this one's enough for me. It's such a banger, despite its short length.
Looks like Kuzuha + Kaiser Nail got a buff for a blue flare variant
RIP classic st1 greymon tho
I almost forgot some Blueflare decks run Kuzuha. RIP it's price after Taomon Loop.
nene shademon ver when
Insert T'challa, we do not talk about that here.
Shademon made digixros with the nene in the manga.
Bandai solve the problem of including Greymon from Security
When will they release the nene's sister?
Shhhhhhhhhh we don't talk about that.
Nene entered kiriha, curious don't you think?
It's not like they had a moment in Hunter
Nene lumina is only for galaxy quartz turbo
Xros decks die against everyone running 2-4 MedievalGallantmons. Dead decks till that thing is restricted.
Yeeeeeeeeep. It's awkward with Medievalgallantmon being released before hand.
Blue flame destroyed the xros heart stage.
WHY IS BANDAI SO AFFRAID OF GIVING DARKKNIGHTMON SOME RUSH?
It's interesting, they could've at least built it into the tamer or something. Shoutmon's the inheritable and Metalgreymon has it built into the card.
