    I went with the 4-stroke motor kit. Had to do some grinding on the motor mount where it meets the bike frame. It took awhile to unscrew the brake hub off due to rust and the brake shoe was toast so I got a new brake assembly and Hub only 20 bucks at Amazon, sweet. All is good . Thanks for the Vid.

    *I CAN SOLVE THE QUESTION ON EVERYONES MINDS. THE REAR SPROCKET*
    I have the exact same kit! I installed it into....onto? hmm... A 2021 Schwinn Adult trike. I chose the 44 tooth instead of the 36 because of the added weight. So far I have ran it about 3 to 4 miles(still in the break in faze). I mounted the REAR SPROCKET to the rear brake "drum". See on these schwinn bikes the rear brake is a brass colored hollow "donut" if you will. It mounts to the rear hub by screwing onto the end of the hub assembly. And a metal piece with a rubber pad tightens around the "donut" when you pull the brake handle. It works similar to how a go kart brake works. What I did was remove all rear brake assembly and toss it away. Technically you could use a few washers as spacers and still have the rear brake but I was worried about it possibly interfering with the chain. Then just unscrew the "donut" , put the sprocket on the hub, and then screw the "donut back on. Drill a few holes, I recommend at least 4. and bolt the two together. This seemed to work beautifully however one small issue. Every once in a while while starting the engine (by letting out the clutch) the jarring will unscrew the "donut" and the chain will pop off the sprocket. Not to worry a little locktite should do the trick. Or what I plan on doing, tac welding in 4 spots in between the hub and the sprocket. YOUR WELCOME............ I am running 16:1 (as the manual says) using 93 octane. Has A LOT of compression! Basically impossible to start on jack stands...must be rolling. I've had it up to about 20mph so far (having trouble mounting the digital speedo sensor on the larger forks) 35-40mph is the max rated speed. It seems to run pretty well. I mounted the motor on/in...hmm....a donor secondary bike frame...mounted in 3 sections using large bolts and about 1 inch rubber spacers. Very little vibration. So far this thing is a great little project! I am looking forward to switching to a 32:1 mix after break in though because I am definitely experiencing the gurgles at half throttle. 1 more tank to go! ..... after I finish this one.....MAN this thing gets great gas mileage! My research says about 40 miles per tank. The tank is still totally full! Happy tinkering everyone!

    I'd love to see how you put it all together, especially with the gearing to the motor and all, but apparently you seldom check out this video to answer questions. The video can give you video epilepsy with all the wavy shaking it does when viewing it. Is this a Schwinn or some other brand? Hughes did a video with a friction-drive unit, but I really don't want to go that route at all, even though I have one to use.

    • @YouTubeBuffet
      @YouTubeBuffet 4 роки тому +2

      nevermind I pieced it together. To anyone reading this, that sprocket comes with the bike standard, all he's done is attach the kits sprocket on the side that attaches to the axle. On most bike kits they use whats called a rag joint to accomplish this so you can attach it to the wheel spokes, but it looks as though hes either very cleverly bolted it to the factory sprocket, or its been tack welded on. Cheers.

Hughes Motorized and a few others may show a friction-drive unit, but you are totally incorrect as to anyone really showing how they installed a gas motor. Nothing as to the gearing setup or the assembly of the motor. This video shows enough to tease someone as to what it may look like, but no video shows an actual assembly with a motor like this very well, besides this one video. Most show off 4 cycle motors or electric motors and not everyone wants to go that route.

      I'm building one myself. But I'm building on a "true" trike, you know, a bike that actually is a trike. I don't quite trust the trike axle kits to hold up just yet. One of these motors can be put on where his is if you get the CNC engine mount with the swivel head, or take your time bending one of the U-clamp brackets to the right angle and then mount a jackshaft kit to the motor. The jackshaft will transfer the engine power over to the bike chain so there's only that chain instead of the other drive chain on the other side. It'll let you use the gears on a multi speed setup too so you can set your speed

      Thanks, Trace. I'd like to build this but I couldn't get any info on where to get a kit or even the sprocket, so I went with the Predator 212cc which I don't like. Maybe one day I'll find enough info to do the build.

    I'd say it probably wouldn't go more than 20-25 mph tops.
