The Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) Advisory Committee on Vaccines and Immunization Practices (ACIP)

For 9 years child ..what is the treatment?
Unfortunately, there is no special treatment available for mumps. Most children with mumps typically fully recover within a few weeks without any treatments; however, some find the symptoms uncomfortable. Hence, a qualified paediatrician usually provides treatment to reduce the symptoms. It could include the administration of fluids to control dehydration, applying ice or heat packs on swollen glands to reduce the swelling of glands, decreasing discomfort, eating a soft diet, and avoiding foods that require much chewing or are acidic. The child has to be educated on hand washing and the need for isolation until the symptoms subside. Consult a qualified paediatrician for further treatment.

For 20 years old for ,,,what is treatment
Measles is a severe condition in all age groups. Typically, it resolves on its own and doesn't require any specific treatment. However, Treatment for mumps typically focuses on relieving symptoms, including rest and hydration, using pain relievers (as prescribed by a doctor), applying cold or warm packs to swollen glands, and eating soft foods. The most effective way to prevent the infection and associated symptoms is through immunization using a vaccine containing a live attenuated mumps component

Can adults get the vaccine if they're not sure they received it as children?
"Yes, adults may need the mumps vaccine if they didn’t get it as a child. Usually, everyone aged 18 and older born after 1956 who has not been affected with mumps needs at least one dose of the mumps vaccine. Getting vaccinated is the best way to prevent mumps. However, it is not recommended to get the vaccine if the person is pregnant or has had a life-threatening (dangerous) allergic reaction to a dose of the mumps vaccine.

Mam request to explain why mumps is repeating
My son is 7 years old
Most people who get mumps never get it again because a previous mumps infection should give lifelong immunity from mumps. Nevertheless, in some cases, mumps may occur more than once (reinfection) and cause a milder illness due to incomplete immunity, where their immune response is insufficient. Hence, it is recommended to consult a qualified pediatrician to get detailed information and timely treatment.
