I bought a new washing powder called “Earth choice” woke up in the morning after a terrible sleep and my eyes lids were swollen shut, my throat was swollen up, my heart was beating like crazy and I had hives all over my body. The palms of my hands were purple. I went to the hospital and they told me it was the medication that I take a tiny dose of, so I had to come off that and didn’t sleep for TWO weeks due to withdrawal - mirtazapine. All while I had a newborn baby I was breastfeeding. The symptoms didn’t go away until I realised it was from the sheets and clothing and nothing to do with my medication so I went back on it and finally slept. I was so sleep deprived I was twitching and freaking out, my husband was about to take me to the psych ward as I almost lost my mind, all from washing detergent! The same thing happened recently when we had weeks of rain where we live and my husband took the sheets to the laundromat but didn’t use the washing powder I sent him with. At least this time I know what it’s from! Now I make my own washing detergent, I grate sunlight soap and add some eucalyptus oil.

I was also suffering from this from 2021… it used to occur randomly… but instead of taking medicines to suppress it… I tried to study about it and understood that it is all due to increased pitta dosh in body… basically I can tell you what I did.. I replaced moisturisers by coconut oil and I apply twice on my full body… I started having food without much spice .. in dinner I used to take only dal with salad or tried to take light food… I completely avoided red chilly and the garam masalas and had very simple food…. I took safi also..started running and weight lifting… basically I improved my lifestyle with simple food….. I reduced carbs… it’s gone 🎉…I replaced my wheat atta by raagi .. avoided raw onions.. tomatoes… garlic adrak… and used very less quantity of them in food

I get an unbelievably itchy red hive rash every winter around late October to March. It starts at my lower spine and breaks out all over my stomach, torso, chest, down my sides. Once you start itching it flares up big time. It's so satisfying to scratch but it goes off and returns seconds later just as bad. It never goes off. I've tried loads of creams. The only thing that relieves it slightly, and I mean slightly, is a mixture of sudocreme nappy cream and sudocreme lotion mixed. Nothing else touches it. I wake up scratching!!!!

Hi there, if anyone is suffering from urticaria then please try to cut any kind of processed sugar. Sulphite are usually used as preservative in coconut or sugar. Please avoid anything that contains sulphite. I had urticaria for 4-5 years but after cutting off processed sugar and sulphites i am totally fine.

I tried everything and I work as a tech in Pharmacy. My dermatologist finally prescribed Hydroxyzine 25mg and it was amazing, hives disappeared in just hours for me.. The only thing it made me feel the next day like I had a hang over, but better than having itchy hives. I went next searching and trying body wash. Aveeno is good but itching starts right away. I found great itch relief with "Naturesce- Jock itch". It's like a magic wash on affected areas, I bought it through Amazon for about $12. I use a small quantity with a sponge bathing brush at night and then use Aveeno wash because the Jock itch smells like tree medicine to me. I get to finally sleep at nights. Everyone's body is different and so many different things out there that cause allergic reactions on each person. whenever this hives starts to come out to my skin i will drink antihistamine and in an hour or 2 they will be gone but after 3 days it will be back again. im a bit worried of this hives because they keep showing and showing. i think i got it from an insect bite and sometimes i feel some pain or crawling inside. This just started happening in my late 20s but I'm getting hives only on my face and neck when it's hot and possibly other scenarios I'm not sure of like my pillow case or fabrics. Hello, I have had this and had no idea on why I got it suddenly even though i didn't get any insect bites or similar things. When I went to a doctor, he asked me questions like how long was it, whether any insect bit me, whether I ate any new kind of food, or used any new skin products etc. I said no and I went to the doc after 2 days of getting it. He said it is just a hive/allergy and the cause can be literally anything like food, insect bite, any medication or skin care products and prescribed me some medicines. It worked really well. But I got the allergy again, I would get allergies on my hands, thighs, sitting area and sometimes on my eye surrounding area and lips. I took the prescribed medicine again. And one day I got to know the cause of my allergy. It was a simple hair oil that I used that had ayurvedic ingredients which caused me the allergy. I couldn't find out earlier as I used hair oil applicator on my scalp and not on my hair. I used a different oil on my hair strands. I also found that I got this allergy when I used a cream which had licorice. So, try to find out the cause which causes you the hives, because medications are temporarily solutions that we can't rely on forever. Sorry for the long reply. Hope this helps you.

@@dessie3242 Most of the things start with Stomach problem or acid reflux or acidity which our body does not feel or recognise it first leads to rashes .. Also if you've consumed any medicines lately which wasn't digested at first & took time to breakdown brings about the rashes .. If & only if it's happening in any random areas of the body then it's temporary & related to lacking humidity in the surroundings or lack of moisturizer around your skin .. So my solution to reoccurring Rash problem in the same place of the body such as legs or near elbow area is never keep your stomach empty or hungry .. Consume any light foods in short intervals with LOTS OF CURD !! for straight 10-15days ..

I'm so fed up with this HIVES. I've been consulting a doc for 4 months now but I'm not getting any good results. I tried every medication they said but nthg worked. I bought a new washing powder called “Earth choice” woke up in the morning after a terrible sleep and my eyes lids were swollen shut, my throat was swollen up, my heart was beating like crazy and I had hives all over my body. The palms of my hands were purple. I went to the hospital and they told me it was the medication that I take a tiny dose of, so I had to come off that and didn’t sleep for TWO weeks due to withdrawal - mirtazapine. All while I had a newborn baby I was breastfeeding. The symptoms didn’t go away until I realised it was from the sheets and clothing and nothing to do with my medication so I went back on it and finally slept. I was so sleep deprived I was twitching and freaking out, my husband was about to take me to the psych ward as I almost lost my mind, all from washing detergent! The same thing happened recently when we had weeks of rain where we live and my husband took the sheets to the laundromat but didn’t use the washing powder I sent him with. At least this time I know what it’s from! Now I make my own washing detergent, I grate sunlight soap and add some eucalyptus oil.

I get an unbelievably itchy red hive rash every winter around late October to March. It starts at my lower spine and breaks out all over my stomach, torso, chest, down my sides. Once you start itching it flares up big time. It's so satisfying to scratch but it goes off and returns seconds later just as bad. It never goes off. I've tried loads of creams. The only thing that relieves it slightly, and I mean slightly, is a mixture of sudocreme nappy cream and sudocreme lotion mixed. Nothing else touches it.

Man this is the same case with me too I'm 18 and same thing happens with me and mostly in rainy and winter season

This just started happening in my late 20s but I'm getting hives only on my face and neck when it's hot and possibly other scenarios I'm not sure of like my pillow case or fabrics. Hello, I have had this and had no idea on why I got it suddenly even though i didn't get any insect bites or similar things. When I went to a doctor, he asked me questions like how long was it, whether any insect bit me, whether I ate any new kind of food, or used any new skin products etc. I said no and I went to the doc after 2 days of getting it. He said it is just a hive/allergy and the cause can be literally anything like food, insect bite, any medication or skin care products and prescribed me some medicines. It worked really well. But I got the allergy again, I would get allergies on my hands, thighs, sitting area and sometimes on my eye surrounding area and lips. I took the prescribed medicine again. And one day I got to know the cause of my allergy. It was a simple hair oil that I used that had ayurvedic ingredients which caused me the allergy. I couldn't find out earlier as I used hair oil applicator on my scalp and not on my hair. I used a different oil on my hair strands. I also found that I got this allergy when I used a cream which had licorice. So, try to find out the cause which causes you the hives, because medications are temporarily solutions that we can't rely on forever. Sorry for the long reply. Hope this helps you.

I'm so fed up with this HIVES. I've been consulting a doc for 4 months now but I'm not getting any good results. I tried every medication they said but nthg worked. The medicines works till we consume. It doesn't last long, once I stop consuming I get this Hives again.
My skin is already very sensitive n with this allergy makes my skin worse.

After having non veg foods I am getting allergic on my face,behind the ears,neck,chest. I am facing this issue since 1 year. When I am getting allergic I used to take anti allergic tab for how long I will take this medicine 😭

I was also suffering from this from 2021… it used to occur randomly… but instead of taking medicines to suppress it… I tried to study about it and understood that it is all due to increased pitta dosh in body… basically I can tell you what I did.. I replaced moisturisers by coconut oil and I apply twice on my full body… I started having food without much spice .. in dinner I used to take only dal with salad or tried to take light food… I completely avoided red chilly and the garam masalas and had very simple food…. I took safi also..started running and weight lifting… basically I improved my lifestyle with simple food….. I reduced carbs… it’s gone 🎉…I replaced my wheat atta by raagi .. avoided raw onions.. tomatoes… garlic adrak… and used very less quantity of them in food
