Alana Reid is a monster, as an American fan, I have so much respect for the Jamaicans.
I wish Edwin Allen didn't drop the baton. The time. would be sub 44 seconds. I think Edwin Allen may have take it as Edwin was changing off before Hydel.
Alana Reid didn't make any dent on Edwin Allen . Alan Reid got small by Serena Cole on the first leg. It is a shame the baton drop
Respect to u
MONSTER?!
jusA
The older I get the more tears proudly flow when I watch these schools from my homeland excel. #Jaminate #Jamaica #TrackAndField
44.16 in such an unfavourable whether is astonishing. Congrats Hydel big performance ✌👍
🥇👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
So it takes four girls to run a time that a man can do😂
@@genebaket 4 junior? Sounds about fair.
Edwin's record will stand for evrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
@@jonepic8100 I wouldn't be so sure if I were you
If u all never noticed serena ran an amazing leg she also hand of the batton before alana congratulations to both sorry that a Edwin Allen girl pulled up speedy recovery ❤😢
Yes Serena did. She was great, pity Edwin had a baton misapp
Serena Cole blazed that first leg👌👌
Alana was ahead of her on that leg
Love, Honor and Respect to Hydel Jamaican Champions.
That first leg between Alana and Serena was amazing too bad Edwin Allen didn't pass the baton successfully, wish the splits were available as well. Congrats team hydel, this was a dominant performance. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲
Didn’t know Serena ran… But Hydel and Alana is clear… don’t think Edwin Allen stood any chance
@@kristoffcampbell She started. Watch the start again. She’s standing there.
@@kristoffcampbell I think Edwin more than stood a chance. Serena was the fastest on leadoff
@@kristoffcampbell Agreed.
@@JayDublow on what evidence? I don’t recall them talking/posting splits and I watched the race and last everyone checked Hydel was always leading so idk. Serena is good but it’s not her time now. Just like last year she has been upstaged.
Bullis has been doing great here , congrats to my Jamaica teams
Hold dem JAMAICA 🇯🇲 cut above the rest!!!🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
I appreciate commentary on champs from the perspective of someone who seems to have attended and appreciated the event
They have no choice but to acknowledge Champs, but a lot of their info on Champs is incorrect
Cole and her starts ❤❤❤
The camera work at penn relays have been undesirable as per usual, but that was a storming run by the Hydel squad. I'm happy for their first win at these championships! Interestingly enough though, it seems like Serena just made the handoff before Alana, which bodes well for her recovery. I hope our top juniors go to panam U20s (if they don't make the senior team) and break that relay world record again. Make sure that it will never again be approached in this lifetime 😂.
Hydel made the first hand over
I just love how, the commenting doesn't sound bias , like the Carifta games
Unlike?
Like!
@@jamaicanbkslimaz, Bias like the Bahamians, Trinis, Bajans, St Lucian, St Kitts, etc..they bias against Jamaica because we have dominating T&F at Carifta Games for almost 40 years. Facts!
Baker, the Hydel anchor is destined for greatness. She has the range from 100m to 400m.
Add 4H for McAnuff
Go Jamaica! Big up Hydel!
Jamaica never disappoints 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Hydel baton changes is unbeatable. Don't play with them when it comes on with that. Great run to other schools
Hydel , “ the Champs champ!”
Love the commentary about Champs
glad to see u on ur feel cole
Jamaica 🇯🇲 we did it 🙌🏾👏🏾
Love the apparent shyness and innocence of Hydel's interviewee.
Alana is the real PR person, but not sure why her team didn't set her up to do the talking
We love the track and the competition
Happy for Bullis 🇺🇸 🌎
I’m sure that she thought that she was interviewing Alana Reid 😂
Camera angles here are awful. Congrats to Hydel.
Age Quod Agis! Maroon and Gold!
Congratulations
We start relays at primary school sports. Baton change is natural by the time you reach high school 😊
Alana Reid took off like a Rocket!! The Baton Exchange was "Out of this World" CONGRATULATIONS Hydel Fantastic Run!!👏👏🇯🇲
You all did well guys
Who noticed that regardless of what the commentor was saying, Ms. Cole of Edwin Allen handed over first? Does that mean a 10.88s run?
@1:59s in the clip??!!!
Track and Field !!!
SERENA is an amazing first leg runner ..she BOSS that leg ahead of Alana ...2 Amazing young ladies. I wish both of them continued success
WOW In those conditions? Shyytt!!!!
Jamaica 🇯🇲 land we love
Cole mus miss the twins dem
Insane time lol
Nah tell no lie am super proud to be 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲congratulations team 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What is even more amazing is that this team could have had Lyston and Hill if they had not left school
That would have been a world junior record from a high school team.
@@jordanjordannis2258 Nope ..Edwin could of also had Clayton Twins...
@@jonepic8100 I'd go with the Edwin team still if all those girls were available
@@JayDublow ye people forgot the twins were there from @14 .. creating havoc!
Yup. I think these girls are going to break the women's 4x100 world record one day. Between Lyston, Hill, Clayton, Reed, and Brianna Williams (none of them over 21), Jamaica has a ridiculous amount of talent that looks like it's getting ready to dominate for years to come.
Felt that one for Edwin Allen they were way in the lead
I think Serena coleus a cub 11second runner also. Her coaches a master technician SO I believe Sean is a sub 11 second runner now too.
Is that Cole on the first leg Edwin Allen
It is
Good look miss Hazel you are doing well ❤
Correction, It's the maroon and gold of Wolmers. Age Quad Agis!!!!
Wow!str888 jamaica
Serena cole and 2 leg messed up baton exchange. Serena used to running with the twins
Yes that's true, she's used to her 2nd leg team mate running out her block fast. If you look back at the race, the 2nd leg girl ran out fast then suddenly slowed down.... never do that unless it's needed. Cole came at her fast, so Cole isn't expecting her to slow down so suddenly.
This is the first time I've heard of Hydel. I know all the other Jamaican schools.
I've never seen a 4x1 at this level over by the 1st handoff. And I was on the front line to see it. Hydle's 1st leg made Bullis 1st leg looked like she was running backwards, lol.
Big up the camera man 😮
Horrible camera work! Camera work at Jamaican T&F events are much better!
THE CAMERA ANGLES ARE ATROCIOUS

🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🌟🌟🌟🍾🍾🍾
Jamaica me say
Congrats Hydel but what happened to Edwin.
they didnt make the first handoff. Cameraman was the worst
Baton dropped at the first exchange. And seems Cole handed off first too..would have been a show down if that didn’t happen
Hydel won a few weeks ago when they raced in Jamaica. It wouldn't have been any different. Alaina Reid will probably turn pro before this summer is over.
@@edwardjones717 Serena was not there a few weeks ago bro
@@JayDublow Penn Relays proved that it didn't matter whether she was there or not. Both of them ran the first legs and I thought it was said that Alana had the fastest split time.
So did Wolmer's and Edwin Allen both drop the baton during the exchanges? Very disappointing... but a lesson learned, I guess. But congrats to Hydel on a great race. Well done, ladies. 🏃♂💨
❤❤🇯🇲🇯🇲
Why did she only interview that one team member? I wonder if she thought that was Alana Reid?
what happened to edwin
Went according to the script …. Nam jamaica
All morning
Imagine if hill and lyston was on the team. They would have ran sub 44
Wolmer’s is Maroon and Gold it’s not red
🇯🇲
Donkey lengths...Congrats Hydel!!
Jah Jah Edwin nuh finish the race
Crappy weather. Good job though.
The commentator said Alana Reid "absolutely obliterates the rest of the field", she did not obliterate Serena Cole on that first leg. Pity about that missed exchange
Correct. Serena was lightening
@@JayDublow JDub I'm pretty sure that was two sub 11 first legs By Serena Cole and Alana Reid. paused the video at the exchanges
@@kirklanddavis1937 that's what I did, Serena was flying
Cole lane is before Alana but Hydel made the first baton change
The woman doing the interview was so rude ...she only spoke to one of the girls and ignored all the others....not even waiting till all 4 girls before doing the interview.....Well done girls brilliant run.
J
Race starts at 1:48.
She has 4 athletes there and she poses all the questions to one. Smh
I was appalled she didn't speak to Alana.
@@daltonsmith9724 Who's to say they didn't agree beforehand that Alliah would do the interview? Looked on that last question like she was angling toward Alana, but Alliah answered instead. Not a big deal.
@@jordanjordannis2258 I doubt they agreed beforehand that one person would answer . Alana is the captain of the Hydel team and usually u speak to the captain if anything. Its not a big deal but I think the reporter cd have done better
she do that with all the teams. they need a better reporter
How this man forget green and black of Calabar... ridiculous
Where do these girls workout at? Do they run from Dunkin’ Donuts to McDonald’s every day
How is it Jamaica comes to Penn Relays and there are no Americans in the Races? I know we have rules about under age competition?
This is a final. The America s didn’t qualify
@@CandyStrats, Americans didn’t make the final?!? 🤭 lie! 🤫😄
Bullis is from Maryland and came second. International teams have attended Penn from over a century ago, and Jamaica first came in 1963 or 64
You Americans prove time and time again, that you are really not so smart.
