I am perpetually intimidated by knits (I don't know why?? Early in my sewing "career" misfortunes made me lose my confidence, I guess.) BUT you whipping up this teeshirt (not even mentioning the pattern hahah) is showing me I am a FOOL to stay away from knits! I need handmade teeshirts in my life!I am gonna get on with it, come what may. Cheers and thanks :)
I think they have such a reputation for being tricky to sew, but in some ways I find it so much more forgiving! I was scared to start, but I feel like I've gotten the hang of it! Thanks so much for watching Lynne! ❤️
So impressive what you do with illustrator. I really like the way you draft and make the pattern. I appreciate your time to show that. Nice shirt. Waiting for the next video. thanks 🥰
The shirt looks great. Well done on that neckline. I appreciate you taking the time to demonstrate pattern drafting on Adobe Illustrator. As you said, there are not many resources for this process. Thanks.
Hey THANK YOU for sharing the course! I have been hunting for one just like it. It's exactly what I have been searching for. I studied Fashion Design 10 years ago but we never even touched on developing our designs and turning them into a downloadable PDF pattern! I have the skills all manual but needed to wrap my head around transferring them digitally! There are few videos on the topic but this course runs circles around them. Well worth the purchase. I hope you are an affiliate for sharing! PS I have this book but in 5th edition. Instructions are still the same :)
It is a better approach to sew the top of the shirt first by attaching the front and back pieces and then sewing the sleeves (without the "circular" sewing). Finally, the body of the shirt and the sleeves are then joined in one pass. This also makes it easier to hem the sleeves, which can be done separately.
That was fascinating.,It was brilliant to see how the measurements became the pattern. When you drew the waist at number 15 I noticed you curved the waist under the line not on it.What was the reason for this and would you do that for any pattern where the waist came in? I'm loving these vlogs. Your tee shirt fits beautifully.
I have been wanting to do this, and you have such a great way of explaining the steps thank you. a few questions tho. How do you deselect after making a line? Also how do you “walk” your patterns, for example like the armholes and sleeve caps. Tysm
Thank you, I really enjoyed the adobe illustrator and is something I have been interested for some time. Is there any type of illustrator that you can recommend for me ? Thanks again
dividing a line into 8 pieces and delete the rest, what the hell, omg... I was following you exactly. that saw what you did in the end, made me so angry. why you just divide 18 by 2, then 9 divide by 8, simple math, man. OMG, wasted my time.
I followed each step all I can say is it was perfect well instructed and easy to follow
Aw, I'm so happy to hear that!!

Hi! Thank you for this patternmaking tutorial, I learned a lot! Also can you tell me the percentage of the right stretch factor for the fabric?

Hi! How come we don’t see a waist measurement?
How do I get the template in Illustrator?
