I like seeing that you're using scissors for some cuts. I use scissors to cut a lot of my foam pieces because they're likely going to be sanded anyway and before I got an angle cutter it was way easier for me to use a sharp pair of scissors to get the cut at an angle. Great work as always! Algorithm!
I always thought soulsborne games are too hard for me, but when I finally got into them, I love them! Now I'm super excited to try doing cosplay from one of them. Maybe Lucatiel, Solaire or someone from Elden Ring. Thanks for this awesome tutorial!
You’re welcome! Be sure to check out the elden ring armor video I made for Bandai. And I hope to do some builds from Bloodborne at some point. (it’s actually my favorite soulsborne game)
Awesome looking as always ! I just did both your Red Hood armor and Raya Sword, and I'm about to start the dwarf helmet from Warhammer. All of this for a project at my workplace. Your channel is my favorite place for cosplay.
I want to say that last year this video helped me and I made my first Solaire cosplay, and the helmet was 10/10. Your videos are fascinating. At some point I hope for a blasphemous helmet
Thank you ! Thanks to you, i finally made a Solaire cosplay ! (i've never tried before that one cuz the real issue was the helmet, but with this video to guide me it was pretty easy, and the rest of the cosplay was wayyy easier to do)
Came out great happy with the finished outcome thank you for the video love it ! Excited to see what you come up next Would love to see you tackle something from monster hunter
Looking at this excellent build I had the thought that, with a little modification, you could use this design/template to make a really good old-school Ram-Man helmet from Masters of The Universe!
I love your videos. I love the foam, ordered some at Christmas for my granddaughter who is doing cosplay. Unfortunately the dowel foam was out of stock. As of last week they refunded me the amount. Is the foam changing? I would love to send her the dowel foam so she has everything she needs. I also referred her to your channel so she can learn from you.
First off thanks! A complete restock of dowels are on their way to the US right now. We just sold a ton because of the chainsaw man and mimic videos 🙌 thanks for the support
Awesome build! I am in the process of making a Solaire cosplay and this is a life saver! One question though: What size is the template? I mean what circumference of head is it designed for? Thanks! :)
Pretty awesome! Hey, now with the live action of Knights of the Zodiac, would be cool than you make a helmet, it's close look at your helmet. Big hug from Spain!
A little late to the comment game but I’m about to undergo making one of my own. Is this helmet glasses friendly or should I up the scale a tiny bit so I can wear glasses in there? Dark souls is my favorite game series so the fact you’re allowing me to bring this to life warms my very SOUL. (Ya see what I did there. Soul. NeverMind.) 😂
I got anime event coming on the next month. Kinda wanna make this helmet but it seems difficult and need to do a lot 🥲🥲🥲🥲 but i want the helmet so bad 😭
Great tutorial! Almost finished with the helmet, I just need to do the feather. i had question if you don't mind, did you also paint the inside of the helmet?
@@SKSPropsSorry but I meant something like that Armet (closed helmet) 15th-16th century,I never found any video that shows how to make one without metal
Thank you for your videos! I have a question about our dremel, I was wondering if there is a particular model/product you'd recommend for beginners? Just for sanding imperfections on the foam, simple stuff like that that doesn't cost too much. Thank you!

Hey there, thanks so much for the tutorial! I'm hoping you can help me out as I've never made a cosplay before - would a 1x2m sheet of foam be enough for the 6mm components?
Hello there! Quick question, I’m new to this whole foam cosplay thing and I wanted to ask about how heat affects the foam. I’m wanting to make a Solaire cosplay so I can wear it at my local renaissance festival. It is sometimes sunny there and I was wondering if the heat of the sun in that situation would damage/warp the helmet. If it would, is there any products I can use on the helmet to prevent this?
Heat and water will not affect my HD-Foam. But it can mess with certain adhesives which is why I don’t use hot glue and only work with contact cement and superglue. But let’s say worse case you leave you helmet in a ridiculously hot car and it deforms a little bit. You just need to hit it with a heat gun and it will bounce back into shape. Also why I seal my foam with plasti dip other sealers just don’t work near as well
@@SKSPropsAwesome, thank you for the info! Just ordered the foam and now I’m just waiting for it to arrive (hopefully soon). Great video man, I can’t wait to make this helmet!

Question: how would you prototype tempelates to make your own armors? I want to make the Soul of Cinder but hardly anyone has comprehensive tutorials and I'm not sure where to start.
Everyone makes templates in their own way and is by far the hardest part of the build. I haven't ever done a video on it because it just comes with experience. All of mine are hand drawn on poster board and I don't know how to describe it other than I can 3d explode the image in my mind and then draw down the basic shapes. For people at are not used to making their own I would recommend to find templates that are out there and modify them so they fit your needs.

So, my son and I used this to make a helmet out of sheet aluminum. We're definitely going to be making a few small modifications, but it's awesome!
That is awesome! Glad you had fun with the project 🙌
As a note to others with huge noggings, I would increase the scale 105% or 110%. Otherwise, thanks for the pattern and video!
Glad you liked the project. 🙌
As a huge noggin haver, I appreciate this
