This is a really good take on Fodlan Winds.
Every part was really great and well made for their character (Edelgard knowing many people won’t agree with her choices, Dimitri talking about his inner demons, and Claude wanting to figure out the truth hidden about Fodlan), and the main chorus (it’s both extremely catchy and fits everyones themes) and the end chorus (it fits everyone and fits well, and I actually like how Dimitri is quieter than the others; Edelgard is determined in her path and Claude is certain there is more than what’s been told to them, but Dimitri isn’t as determined yet during the 1st part. Only at the end does he actually drop holding back and gains the resolve the other two have), both of them were just amazing.
All of the lyrics fit well and everyone did well. Classicult, Obsidian and Juno did fantasitic (Classic put a lot of power behind Edelgard, Obsidian made Dimitri sound very mournful but still not succumbing to his anger, and Juno’s Claude is just as confident as ever). Also, even though it was one line each, I’m glad Alex and Dork Princess did their parts, they made it felt a lot more like a FE3H song in game rather than just the three main lords. Speaking of the other characters, the chorus was phenomenal, and everyone who participated did excellent (it makes it feel like everyone from the game is singing too and that’s awesome). Also, the art for the lords and the houses were fantastic (Archer and Juno shot bullseyes with those) and the editing of the video and mixing were phenomenal (sorry I don’t have much to say, but the video and song wouldn’t be as great as they are without them).
I know I probably made this a lot longer that it needs to be (I know I usually make long comments but what the heck was I doing?), but FE3H is one of my favorite games of all time and I really liked this lyrical adaptation. Everyone who worked on it did amazing and I’m thankful you guys put your time into making it so good. Hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving (and to whoever is also reading it, I hope you have a good day too, wherever and whenever you are).
I think you nailed it with your comment. I didn't expect this much out of a Fodlan wind cover but, as you stated, there's so much to unpack. What a grand song and experience overall

Dimitri sounds rather quiet, though I don’t think it’s the actors fault. Sounds more like a mixing issue than anything else
@@gumi6286 even so, I’d say that if anyone were to be quieted to not overpower the end, it should’ve been Claude, especially with him singing a different tune to the rest
I definitely agree, but it's worth mentioning that it's naturally harder to pick up on lower voices. Dimitri has the lowest part here, so it's only natural that he'd be the hardest to hear. He's also doubling the background music, so raising his voice considerably might've drowned out Edelgard and Claude's parts a bit too much.
I think Dimitri is singing quieter on purpose, because he doesn't want people to hear his inner demons.

I actually like how Claude and Edelgard's lines sound together, they are actually more powerful than the original song without eclipsing it. If Dimitri's voice was louder I feel like it would have made everything more confusing. He's just there singing the same as the background music, which combined with his lower tone makes it a good "support" imo

Honestly knowing nothing about Fire Emblem, this is just a really great cover painting the three rulers against each other. Each have their own part with their armies supporting them, and then they all combine for the ending as the battle reaches its climax!
You’ve always got a good sense of what songs to choose. I absolutely loved this, every single person should be proud of the part they did.
To whoever voiced Bernadette in the video, that was cute and well done...she's one of my favorite characters so wanted to say that. God Bless.

Unfortunately, it won't happen. Nintendo is *very* protective of Character VA implications, to the point that Seteth's VA got in a lot of trouble for voicing a couple of the old "Seteth Says" memes that were overall pretty innocent. Joe Zieja is the only one who really doubles down, and even then he's had multiple videos where he clearly shies away from doing that, and mostly gets away with it because his natural voice and Claude's voice are fairly similar. The most he's gotten away with was the Jules Brothers God-Shattering Star Cover, and even that is him voicing a non-Claude character in a nonsense lyrics setting, so I wouldn't be surprised if he went and asked for permission before agreeing.
Sorry to rain on the idea 10 months later.

Very great song. Also, I didn't realize the Purple lyrics were coming from Bernadetta until I saw it pointed out in the comments. I know her hair is purple, but, good detail including her fearing battle. While Dimitri doesn't refer to himself as a Boar, Felix does. I'm faintly hearing Felix singing that part, it would make sense because he basically despises Dimitri, referring to him as a boar. I refuse to believe that Dimitri is calling himself a boar in the lyrics.
