Amazing Open Field Line Battle Event. The intro really set the pace for this EPIC battle. Great video Cody, and congrats on 10K...u totally deserve it.
After I played few times to this amazing game, I share with you my conclusions so far: 1. When the army engage the enemy without good leadership, it's a total disaster! They get killed surprisingly fast! 2. Many try to be leaders, but they haven't any idea of war tactics... and this is not just a game... it is a SIMULATOR of war! 3. Not all good privates can be good captains, and not all good captains know how to be a good private... 4. I have noticed that usually the Union fights better, with better tactics and cohesion than us (I play for the Confederates... private Appensate)... in a high percentage... I don't know why... check if I am wrong! 5. A good captain needs mic to speak aloud orders... if he hasn't it... typewrite in chat is too slow in a moment given... I have more but I don't want to bore you... just say that I really like it and I am sure it's going to be a hit among the best games of strategy.
I do worry that when the game goes public we will see less and less people playing how we are at the moment. Listening to officers etc. I see being in a regiment being pretty essential if you want some actual authentic play unfortunately.
i was fighting on the CSA side ,that was a great battle ... i love the firing order from the union officer at 19:35 , this is what i call a firing order ..fucking badass :)
I imagine the "Union" soldier in the Southern line was really a Confederate who lost a particularly high wager in his last card game. In lieu of monetary payment, his company forced him to dress in Yankee blue for the duration of the battle.
Oh man I was in this match on the union side. Great match Glad to meet you in game, I was the one the other day saying I watches your vids and been playing for a day or two I'm Gipsydanger
You don't want to know how many times we tried to record this without trolls interupting... yelling kiekiekiekiekie or shooting poor longstreet in the face in the middle of his speech 😊 was a nice game though
lol especially those trolls who went out and started skirmishing..it's all good tho, it's worth the awesome video. but yeah you two should def do a blooper/outtake vid, it'll be some good funny content lol
General Cody HD no problem man, you got a pretty good channel for starting out. You should branch out and do like Seven Days To Die 👌🏻 also what kind of pc can handle this type of game? Because I’m thinking about getting steam and playing War of Rights
Hey Johnny, great question! Most of these rifles are pretty accurate up to a far distance. This was a line battle event, so we focused on big lines and massive volleys. Both sides focused on trying to deplete each other’s lives while at the same time playing it safe. Most games however are more mobile and are closer to enemy forces. As of now Macs are not able to play this game, but there is talks about making it comparable. Thanks for stopping by to watch!
At around 2:00 he shows the confederate lines, I was playing this match and there was a huge gap between the right side in the lines. Our officer was yelling at us to fill in the gaps but we were all in our reload. Then after that I tried filling it in then got domed by some random volley.
_One has to feel bad for the Union, they were bullied throughout this battle and throughout the war in real life. At this point, they simply didn't have a strong cause for waging the war (Preserving the Union) compared to the Confederacy (Independence because of Tariffs and lack of Autonomy). Sherman and Grant saved the country in all honesty. If the Confederate States were to succeed in the venture of Independence the United States would possibly fall into disunion with Regions like the West, New England, Etc leaving. Either way, The American Civil War, even if the south won, was useless as the CSA would've never survived between Mexico and a possibly disunited US._
we play by those rules every time, play to win but once a week on a couple maps we coordinate with the union commanders to have a line battle with set rules for a different experience for the players. lot of players like to have a line battle once in a while and only works if both sides agree to the rules.
@@Zarastro54 I don't know what your going on about or 'thing' your trying to imply but we never cheat and look down upon cheaters, so i'll leave it at that. lately the game has given me a bad taste since early access with all these trollers, racists and grievers introduced to the game, I have heard all kinds of rumors and made up storis it makes me laugh. Plus I don't know who you are to imply we are cheaters unless you have proof and not just acting tough online and setting false rumors then get your facts straight.
@@warb0y420 Unless Cody was mistaken about the rules of this match, he stated that this was supposed to be a line battle, and you can clearly see in the video that throughout the match, the rebs had skirmishers peppering the Union line from the cover of a fence the entire game.
@@Zarastro54 ahh because every time we do follow the rules the union breaks off in their own skirmish group/s and do their own thing and pelt our line from the flanks, so the event or rules get ignored completely which is why we don't do these evens anymore in the community. by the way what unit are you part of and your commanders name?
Thanks to you! By the way, If you haven´t seen Gettysburgh (1993), you may really like it. Specially Director´s Cut. (271 minues long, but really worth it)
When the union had split in two and had the confederates from two sides. The union left it too long to push home an attack. It gave the confederates time to reduce the union numbers simply because the union waited.

Audiolibros BCN thanks for the information. I’d say I agree with 90% of that. Good eye for only playing a few games.
You would think the confederates would have better leadership
Stormboxer thought they were lead by Robert E Lee
These types of videos are great. I love the massive lines and how the general command there troops through their mic.
Thank you!
Amazing video Brother ...i'm one of the soldier around the fire at the beginning :) Great speech, i love it !
Awesome man! Thanks for the kind words. :)
Your videos inspired me to purchase this fine looking game. Keep up the good work.

I think it will stay the same.
H White at first that might be a problem but those people will quickly comply or leave the game. Kind of like Red Orchestra 2.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Arguably one of your best videos! :)
Thank you man! Appreciate the kind words :)
I would love to see more massive line battles. I enjoy watching your videos!
Thanks man! I'll try :)
Just like what Jackson said. "It is discipline that wins the day." Reference to his young men who disobeyed the rules.
I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning.
This was a pretty hard fought Battle on both the Union and CSA.
Indeed!
Great commentary Cody. Really nice job. 👍
Thanks, Jason!

This game is unreal. If there is ever an American War of Independence version, I’ll definitely buy a gaming set up just to play it.
The Ghost of George Lincoln Rockwell I’m glad you enjoy it man!
Loved the intro. Greetings from Oklahoma.

Line battles
They are old but epic

are they going to added bushwhackers or do the game makes think of them as outlaws
I'm not sure.
Why are they engaged so far away??? It looks like 500 yards across there lol. Id love to play but so far no game for the MAC

I don't remember of the top of my head. sry!
For Union it was 4th NJ & 72nd PA , volunteer.4thnjv.com and the Rebs were II Corps 6thLA
Thanks for sharing
And 1st Georgia was also present, as always 😉
Lol, love the intro
Hey GC I downloaded squad . And it's pretty sick any tips ?

Although I wish the Union had won. FOR THE UNION!
Thanks, maybe next video *SPOILER*.....or am I joking?!?
How come no one has shot the canons yet.
Players can't shoot them yet.
General Cody HD But you have, a few times. ;)
they should add some bino's for the officer
Musket men fought way closer. And where are the trenches? Even the American civil war had trenches.

I agree completely. They should have either pushed hard on one side, or only engaged one line at a time.

Sad at the dishonorable ones breaking the rules
