Helpful tip... get yourself a 50’ anchor rope with a spring loaded hook on both ends and another around 10’ from one of those ends. Clip the end to the bow islet that has the inline hook nearest to it, and the other to your anchor. Put the anchor in the back of your truck and launch the boat. Pull the boat back to you and move the anchor to the other hook and toss it on the bank. Park the truck and return for an awesome day of fishing. This method insures you don’t mess up either of your props or come in too fast to a rocky bank and damage your hull. Hope it helps.

Something I started doing a while back is I keep a 100 ft rope with a clip attached at each end, when unloading by myself i attach it to the the bed of the truck and to the front of the boat; pulling it to where i need it, and then when loading I can tie it to whatever I need, dock, tree etc. then I can pull it onto the trailer. Hope this helps!
Hey brotha Ik you dont want carpet in the biat bc it’s a pain to clean but if you don’t want the deck th be slippery I highly recommend getting seadek it’s a foam type floor and it’s super easy to clean you just have to spray it off
LOJO not sure if anyone else has suggested this but if you want some sure enough no slip grip for the boat deck you can use skateboard grip tape. You can put it in high traffic areas where you walk and spots you fish from so you and Badger don't have to worry about going overboard or him slipping and busting more of your rods!
One tip I’ve learned from loading your boat on the trailer is when you put the trailer in the water leave the top of your fenders out of water. Don’t put all of the fender in the water. That has helped me big time.
When getting the boat back on the trailer, instead of getting back in the boat to use the outboard, you can just pull your winch strap and hook it to the boat and winch the boat up the rest of the way. The winch makes it easy to pull the weight of the boat
Hey lojo just a tip as a boat angler. When you are going to back your trailer in unplug the trailer lights because the lights can short out and ruin the wiring

Keep the videos coming lojo! Try a carabiner and 30ft rope to hook on the front of your boat for self launch and recover it will give you that extra lee way to get it on and off the trailer!
Tie a rope to the front of your boat where the winch snaps on. When you launch the boat alone you can tie the other end to your truck and just unsnap the winch before backing in and you can use the rope to pull the boat back to shore after you float it off the trailer and you can also use the rope to tie your boat off so it doesn't float away. Be sure to give yourself plenty of length on the rope.
You need a long bow rope that you tie inside the truck bed. Back in, let it float off, pull up a bit, grab the rope and pull the boat back to the bank. I’ve been doing that for 30+ years and haven’t had to swim after it yet. Just wait until you experience the joy of realizing you haven’t installed the drain plug! I’ve lost count of how often I’ve done that. A set of vertical guides helps a lot as well. Also, you were close enough with the trolling motor you could have just winched it the rest of the way.
hey if u take a long rope "20 feet is what i use on mine" and put a snap on it u can hook it where your winch line hose and when u go to lunch your boat use a long home made style tent spike on the other end of the rope stick it in the bank. when u launch u now have a safety line to keep your boat from drifting. helps out a lot if theres not a dock near by or you quick launching due to little dock space vs high number of boats coming in or out

You need a good bow line for launching your boat. Tie it the and to the either back of your truck or the trailer, then when you back the boat into the water the boat will float off and then when you start to pull forward you will pull the boat to the shore and then you can tie it off while you park the truck. I believe I showed it in one of my fishing videos but if not I will make a video for you to show you how to do it.
When you launch by yourself, take a say 50 dock rope, tie one end in the latch eye in front of the boat, not sure what they are called, then tie the other end to a spot on the back of trailer, loop the excess and put on front deck to where it will pull itself out, back boat in till it floats, the back just a touch more and break, it will slide off trailer, when it clears trailer, just ease forward, the rope will pull it back to you, easy peasy, just remember, patience, patience, patience, it takes time to learn things, enjoy your new boat!!!!
You need to learn to be comfortable not discouraged. Bring things with you on the boat that are stress relievers like a radio and some snacks. Slow down and enjoy where you’re at. Great video sir .
That is where one of those remote control trolling motors will work. A lot of smaller lakes like that you can use the big motor to load it. It would be great if it had a dock right there.

Done that while launching and retrieving boats. Bad thing when I done it they went further and usually had welding equipment in it, tools, welder, torches etc. We built boat docks, carports etc. And pushed them down the lake to their final spot

pro tip for soft launches like that i have a rope made that's 3-5 ft longer than my trailer unhook from winch hook to boat and to the winch and re engage winch back in till floats past trailer then pull forward slow till boat is pulled to shore put truck in park put winch in free spool take line off winch and boat go park truck
Lojo dont put the fish back on the same side of the boat you just caught him on if your gona cast again in the same spot. Usually works for me if I wanna try and catch a second. Love you brotha!
Great video, our camping friends one time thought their kayaks were up on shore enough, next morning they were gone taking a 2 or so day trip to Canada maybe 100 Miles or so.they were lucky enough to get them back because the persons island they washed up on were from a town in our city. How weird is that, anyway great video nice truck also I have a 2016 f150 XLT with the 3.5 ecoboost the thing is a beast for towing plus really fast.
Dude! You don't need the entire boat to float to get it off the trailer. Don't back the trailer so far down the ramp. I back mine in to where the fenders are just under water. Trial and error will tell you how far you need to go. Then get in the boat, unhook the bow strap, trim the motor down, and use the outboard to slowly pull you off the trailer. If it takes a lot of power to pull you off the trailer, then you need to back in a little further. Then you can beach or tie to the dock, if there is one, and go park the truck.

Go to a skateboard shop and get grip tape. Super easy to attach. No more slip. Love the boat. Different colors available possible googan colors.

Dude! You don't need the entire boat to float to get it off the trailer. Don't back the trailer so far down the ramp. I back mine in to where the fenders are just under water. Trial and error will tell you how far you need to go. Then get in the boat, unhook the bow strap, trim the motor down, and use the outboard to slowly pull you off the trailer. If it takes a lot of power to pull you off the trailer, then you need to back in a little further. Then you can beach or tie to the dock, if there is one, and go park the truck.
