Congratulations on the new job. I can now send all the people asking me for custom PC pieces. Keep it up
I think we’ve both been ‘suffering’ from this issue haha.
Thanks for the o11 xl distro plate. ❤️👍
@@joe_ferreira how in the heck you getting custom pieces? I can't even get him to reply to me to get some cad files for me to mod from an old build he did as I have the same case.
Can't wait to see more
Need updates every week on the shop expansion. Super excited about purchasing your products in the future.
Looks awesome - Just be aware that from experience it can get VERY hot and sticky up on a mez in a UK warehouse with no airflow.
Green house comes to mind.
Congrats.... feel very happy for you.... and also for me, because i will get a lot more wicked content from you....
I would love to help you Set this place up... but i live in germany, so no Chance... but i would love to See some vids how you set up your new space...
Turn the mezzanine into a big bedroom, convert the other rooms and a bathroom into a kitchen/ living room, add a garage door and all your tools and you have one sweet bachelor pad. I'm a bit jealous.
Genuinely would be pretty sick that
i would turn the small room into a Sandblasting / Grinding room, any metal fabrication that causes alot of dust or debris and contain it within a single space :)
I had definitely been considering this, although I reckon I probably won’t be venturing into more of the ‘dirty fab’ side of things in this particular shop.
@@bittech1 awesome well looking forward to the progress !
Quite an upgrade! Well deserved! Considering what Alex can get done in a tiny shed, I can't wait to see what incredible things come out of this place! :D
hey view number 4 and im so exited to see the new shop in action lets gooooooooo......I dont know about every one else but id love to see a full setup of the new workshop
@bit-tech What ever happned tol Axel as host??? this is the last video with him right??? miss you dude
Man you deserve it! You are such a talented builder and machinist.
Please come back to the channel :( The filler content is no where near the same standard :(
Whre do i contact u guys if i want to buy a custom watercooled PC?
Gonna miss the random kids screaming in the bg of the videos /s
When are you going to make your next video?
On a side note... I will definitely buy your stuff. Your attention to detail always astounds me.
The manufacting sounds cool^^
If you get a bed into the workshop, you can live there :P
No problemo, CNC already has a bed inside it!
Bit-tech has closed down alex is now making videos here, loved his work on bit-tech and would love to see him gain more subs on his new channel which would result in more vids hopfully
www.youtube.com/@PraetexDesign/videos
Thanks dude, was wondering why the new videos don't feature him... I only had viewed his older 4-5 year old vids
Alex, please come back
Where is he now?
Praetex Designs
cant wait to see the shop finished. so much excitement!
Who knows where Alex Banks went? It's been a long time since I saw any news from him
Good luck with your new workshop Alex .... Greetings from Sweden
Awesome place... How I wish I could do the space planning/ designing part...
I know you have CNC machine, but do you have Be quiet pure base 500 pc case, and are you wiling to modd it, and hear me (my suggestions) out, and make micro atx air cooled pc case from it.
That will be pc case be quiet never made, and most likely won't ever made. I would make 3D model of it, but my current pc is not new so it can't handle programs at all (Intel 1'st gen I5 750.....).
Nice shop! Good potential & and lots of space to complete the Aquaceras build
Great space but let me give you 1 advice: Use the upstairs as storage ore something like that.......NOT to sit down or use as office.
Reason is in Summer it gets VERY HOT right under the roof......to hot to work in.
In summer you got the sun warming up the roof and you have the warm air inside the building witch is rising.
I learned from that mistake :P
Hey if you ever need help I'm in the UK. I used to do work with kingpin (Vince) and also Asus intel MSI and more. Anyways great looking shop. You should bring a bed because your going to be there alot 🤣
Congratulations.
(Video could have been 2 minutes total length)
If there's a job going, depending on where you're based, I'd be totally up for pulling a 9-5 making stuff to sell. 😉
im sure he wil get more subs if he loses the weird mustachio lol
also could you do a "OI GET BACK TO WORK" from the upstairs area ? :D
Woooow that place looks amazing omg. GZ for your success. You will not have time to mod PCs anymore, you have to mod that Room
With such a large space, you could start offering (paid for) workshops to people who want to learn how to scratch build & mod PC's using all the tools that you have at your disposal... Could be a nice little sideline for you!
Don't forget your international fans who also want to purchase your stuff 😁👍🏼
reminds me of another UA-camr that upgraded and is now really big. Best of luck looking forward to the new content and builds
Just thought you should know, hardly any of the links in the video description above work.
eyyyyyy, well deserved Maki. Maybe Aquaceras will be finished this year? Looking forward to many more new and amazing projects.
Fantastic news, Alex! I can see it now, 10 years down the line you'll be like Adam Savage in his cave :-D
WTF happened to this channel and this producer?
Nice, mate. I wonder if you guys also do custom jobs for private individuals as well?
Hey! What did you do to Alec Steele's precious workshop??
When is Alex going to twist his mustache and laugh like an evil villain.....?
Hey Alex, I hope i can use one of your custom water cooling pieces in my 1st custom water cooled build! Eyes on you!
Your office will be terrible if you dont do something about the noise - try working with the CNC’s going flat out!
I hope bit-tech will get better and better, and I hope you can buy your products in China.
Hollywood tropes have messed me up, when he turned the lights on I expected each switch to be followed by the hearty clunk of a large contactor. Since that is how large space lighting seems to always come on in movies and tv.
Yes, yes to have a Distribution block. Made by a famous UA-cam builder like you.. Dam.. You sir are a master Craftsmen. I can’t wait to see your shop set up. Thank you for posting this video..
congratulations. all the hard work is paying off
Very nice, Alex will u make your own Case or Watercool Brand in the future ?
Tip get a better lock cover "the can pull your cilinder easaly".
Why don't you put a 3d printing Workshop on the top and the office in the bottom, because it would be a lot more silent down there
That first room you showed might make a great paint or sandblast room to keep it all contained
that's a cool idea although I'm not sure that amount of space is required for a paint room, he could do a lot more with the space if he wanted to in my opinion.
@@prkr1163 like...?
I considered it, but I think in the long run those two rooms are better off joined into one as a collaborative space. I think in the future if I upgrade again to a yet larger building, I would possibly start adding these dedicated spaces though.
Bittech how much did u pay for your cnc machine bro
Model?
Also hope that your also getting like a big manual lathe and put a solid tool post in it since you should have the space for it now something like a good old solid coolchester
Maybe right beside the datron
Looks good maybe we will see you design better computer cases then the current market as non of them know how to design a good functional one that looks good😎
do like workshop remodel progress videos, them kinda videos are my favourite
Congrats man :) , so glad you've gotten this.
I hope that it's is a thick concrete floor and not just a thin slap since the datron deserve the thick concrete
"we replace... all this over here... with glazing..." every american viewer just lost their shit.
As an American myself. More like confused..
Idk how you go outside with that moustache 😂😂😂
Very nice. Excited where the future will lead you.
I hope you make a distro plate to go between the two toilets. That would look sick.
I, erm, what??
@@bittech1 You could make it frosted acrylic. I'm just throwin' it out there, mate.
Where's the new video workshop?
you could turn the little room on the right into a little paint shop
Are you renting this place or did you buy it and its yours?
Super excited for you. Gorgeous space, I'm really looking forward to seeing how it comes together.
Can't wait, sir! Congratulations and excited for you and this channel.
Glazed panels with RGB on the mezzanine
so.... whats in the small room in the corner?
Good to see u moved into a bigger space for some more breathing room.
Dude! Going from that dinky shed to a whole warehouse is amazing! Can't wait to see it all set up and what you create in it!
Nice one buddy looking forward to your creations
Congratulation sir,
I want to work with you
Go big or go home eh Alex. Congrats on the new shop.
finally a place to run a cnc machine. Congrats!
Nice. Huge achievement. ❤️
Sooo.. looks like you need employees now
BRILLIANT!!! CHEERS MATE!!
The dark room should be the video edit suite.
nice, congratulations!
Ti meriti più iscritti sei molto bravo the best
Congrats, but it ain't big enough, it never is. Grandpa used to say " You can build it as big as a cotton mill and it won't be big enough". Spend at least a week planning out your power / water / air - setup. Then think about raw material storage and things like how to move large objects. 4'X8'X1" sheets of acetal are heavy. FIRE AND SECURITY are a must. I think you get the idea.....Lots of sleepless nights heading your way; thankfully you are young.
Another really handy thing is that I’m not on a strict timeline with this, so I can spend the time it needs and sort things as best I can. Been meticulously planning things out in advance for a while now, going to try and be pretty modular so that I can easily make changes later on.
I was thinking that something like a skyhook on a cart might be a good idea for heavy stock. Large sheets of pretty much anything end up being pretty hefty, would rather avoid accidents where I can!
this reverberation is nuts
Another Great video!!
Why this space reminds me of old Alec Steele's workshop??
It’s pretty similar to be fair, most industrial units this size and from about the same time period are remarkably analogous.
That. Is. Awesome!
Some Magic awaits...
Interested to see what you will be producing? Not knowing what you will be doing..my initial thought is why such an expensive machine to start with? You can pick up plenty other 5 axis machines for a quarter of the cost and unless you're specifically using composites that require the higher rpm of a Datron it seems you might run into exhausting out your machining times over higher production rate if you had more machines. I'm just going to assume you're looking for exceptional surface finish on your parts knowing you..but how much is costing you on your ROI!
I spent quite a while speccing up various machines from different manufacturers being honest. The Datron is an almost comically good match up for the work I do currently, but also for what I’m hoping to be doing fairly soon. As a system, it’ll be very good as a 1 man operation, similarly when I eventually am able to take on employees, training somebody up on it will be much simpler (and safer) than one that uses a Fanuc control for instance.
When I eventually get a lathe, I’ll 100% be starting on the lower rungs though.
Congratsss!!! 👏👏👏
it's so wide! nice!
This is brilliant!
Wow! That's a pretty inedible place
Congrats 👏
Wait, that shell looks familiar wasn't that Alec Steels old unit?
Naa he's Norfolk and currently back in that shop too, I'm London.
Nice well done
So are you going to set up the garden shed inside the workshop??
Yeah it’ll have like a little lawn around the outside too so that things can remain familiar
Congratulations Alex. It was about time you left the parents' garden ... hehehe. The change is fantastic.
just imagine what u can do in this workshop........ literally amazing!!!
yesssss!!
The. Was space looks great, and I can see you’re excited about all the potential. One thing I’d investigate is getting more light in to the front, especially on that upper floor. Could you make some more windows without too much structural effort? That, and/or skylights.
