Going to save people a lot of headaches, do not use power tools for any of the screws! I beg you, use only screwdriver! Also, hanging plate has to be absolutely 100% plumb with door edge. Your lock will continue to try to lock if there is strain and plate not aligned!
What size cylinder does this use if one needs to re-key (to match existing keys)? Is it a standard size?
Recently picked up the U100 and its been nice but theres some gripes I have with it. Other Apple Home Key locks let you lock the door via Home Key as well which the U100 cannot do (simple software update can add this). Also despite getting the black U100 model, the Home Key is silver while the Schlage Encode Plus in black issues a black Home Key.
Update: Aqara issued a software update that allows Home Key to lock the lock as well.

Hi! What if a have a door with a lock AND a latch? So, door locks on latch when you close it. Is the lock usable for such cases?

3:47 how do I confirm the locks locking direction?? I have two. The front door installed just fine, but the back door is on the opposite side of the door and won’t swap lock sides. How do I swap lock sides?

Anyway to get the auto lock to wait like five seconds before it locks?
My door sometimes doesnt close all the way then the dead bolt extends, i try to open the dead bolt and it and it just keeps closing, can't close my door... VERY frustrating.

Will not lock in Alexa gives me an error. Unlock in alexa is fine.Position reads correctly in Alexa. locking/unlocking works fine in Aqara Home app using a G3 camera hub. Fringerprint reader and keypad work great. Zigbee 3.0 only works on the Aqara hub no other 3rd party hubs. You need a Aqara hub for this to work with Alexa.

I just added one of these to the front door. I don't see anything in my Home app, but if I press the Homekit button on the lock it says it is setup correctly. I have the U100 bound to an Aqara M2 hub. Really want to get Homekit and Home key working correctly.
Under other platforms, HomeKit option says: Bound
My firmware has been updated to 3.0.0_0020.
Maybe you can try that again aftter updarte to V22 ?

Hello. I'm considering buying one. Can I ask if the M2 Hub is a must? Can I have this U100 as the only device from Aqara and still get it working with Apple HomeKey?

No, you do need a Home Hub though.
is it usable if I live in EU and I decide to buy it? will it connect to EU servers and work?
We do not recommend using it if it is not sold in your area. Deadbolt locks aren't as common in the EU.
Do i need to buy a hub for this?? If yes, can i know how much is it?
you only need a hub if you want to connect to Alexa, google, or home assistant. The cheaper smart gateway night light or E1 hub is all you need I tried the more expensive G3 camera hub for facial recognition and that is blocked for unlocking and facial recognition is not pushed to Alexa

Ugh I did just look up where the company is located and their headquarters is in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. So more than likely, servers are in China. I just bought this lock and it will be delivered today. Will give it a try but I’ve watched other videos that said it is very buggy so may be returning it.

They skip over how to add batteries. I can’t figure out how to get the back off for the life of me.
OK, I figured it out, you have to pry it off with that plastic piece but it feels like the face plate might snap so just be careful
