Wasn’t that a wild ride of vocals? Loved your facial expressions when he was going super high and low! I know the feeling! I enjoyed your reaction, Brad!!
The last reactor I watched with this song had heart palpitations....then you had spasms. If Geoff keeps this up, he's going to put people in the hospital.
I feel stupid for asking but am I mistaken or is this the same fellow from the one Acapella group that you've done some reactions to also? He's absolutely amazing, a whole group all by himself! Incredible! And I apologize if this is offensive to anyone, but I have to say it, his voice, those low notes are sexy as hell!!!!!
I just found out that Geoff did the arrangement for Home Free with The Oakridge Boys singing Elvira. It's amazing. If you haven't done that one, it would be good to react to.
Sorry for the multiple comments but I had not yet finished the video when I posted the first one and I just had to say, I have heard a lot of people sing in my lifetime and I honestly don't think I have ever heard anyone else sing that last low note before lol! He's gotta be the only person in the world who can hit that right!?
Kristy Dees Nope. But he’s my personal favorite! Two others are Tim Foust from the group Homefree and Avi Kaplan formerly of Pentatonix are two others...now I recommend you go check out “Oogie Boogie’s Song” by “Voiceplay.” With headphones.
@@DravenGal OMG, thanks for the recommendation, I just watched it, good God! That's about all I can say about that lol! I just love them, they're so much fun to watch, never too awfully serious, always look like they're just messing around having fun themselves but still sound incredible at the same time and this dude with those low notes, he's just inhuman lol! I've come to the conclusion that there must be some sort of conspiracy going on and there's been robots implanted into society to see how the rest of us react lol! Just kidding, but they really are amazing, I could listen to them all day, everyday!
Kristy Dees, if you watch “Oogie Boogie’s Song” with captions on, they call that last note “subterranean.” VoicePlay also did a cover of “Daddy Sang Bass.” I can reach just about every note they do in that one except the one Geoff drops at the end.
@@DennisKovacich that is not a note normally in the human range from what I understand. I am not sure if that is correct, I have not heard many people that can sing that low and still be understandable.
This guy is wonderful. Thanks for this reaction. Try "Clap It Up Dan." He too has an amazing voice and makes the most creative videos. His "Just a Little Talk with Jesus" is captivating.
You should give Clap it up Dan a listen, he just released a cover of Rainbow of Love on his channel. His bass notes are incredible, especially considering how young he is!
Great Reaction. Thanks, I hadn't heard of him before. Loved what he did with the song and the great production of the video itself. I also would recommend Christina Grimmie's two best performances. GRHS. Her absolutely beautiful, now poignant, solo cover of Titanium, in her little studio, and her fierce, assured cover of Wrecking Ball in her blind audition on The Voice. And again Disturbed: The Sound of Silence. At 650 million views they really did something unique with it.
Nice reaction. He's been doing lot's of stuff latley. Could you please check out Home Free's Moonshine. Austin takes the lead on this one. It was released ten days ago. The harmonies are great. Don't know how they keep doing it, but they do.. Would really appreciate it. Thanks a.lot. Love your channel especially the reaction with your girlfriend on ring of fire.....so funny. You need to get her on more. Stay safe
I think its easier to train to sing higher than it is to train to sing lower. You can only loosen your vocal cords so much, but you can learn to tighten your vocal cords
I sing bass and due to the thicker vocal chords, with proper training and practice, you have a broader range than most people realize. I LOVE YOUR REACTION TO IT! LOL!!!!
Not sure if you've reacted to it yet but Voiceplay's cover of 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' is phenomenal. Five part harmony at its finest. You should check it out.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I sang every bit of that song with him (Except that last note that I just can't reach because it's to low for me....since I'm a female :/). He drinks lots of water to clear his throat out. :)
If you liked this version, you'll love Jacob Collier's version. This version is the best here: ua-cam.com/video/t1OQrI1oUV8/v-deo.html But this one is the most filthy!!! But, it starts mid song. It is still worth reacting to. ua-cam.com/video/yaxk6XfIw7A/v-deo.html Take your pick. The choice is yours. Side note: I just need to hear a song where Geoff gets out of his comfort zone and sings in full tenor. You know, to challenge himself. At least the first verse of Bohemian Rhapsody.
I have a theory that he's NOT human, and that black thing on his wrist is actually an amplifier that allows him to put on a 'human-like' disguise! Any other thoughts, guys?
My vote is that he is not 100% human.. alien hybrid and mutant are on the list... 5 octave range??? Freddie mercury had 4 and was the best ever... HOLY HELL... (( try oogie boogie dear ^_^ ))
I actually have to say I didn’t appreciate this as much as I wanted to. His vowels are closed often which is opposite of correct technique. Singing on the vowels causes resonance and gives the oral chamber room to echo the sound out. This is even more important on low notes.
@@BradSteele I have man! You're honestly a great singer. Can hold a note like no ones business! Of course I'm gonna watch all the reactions I'm interested in and meant no offense. Some of the intros are super impressive too. Yea some may be a bit over the top for my taste, but you got a fan in me brother. Keep at it all, much love ❤️
"dude was in the basement and now hes on the roof" should be in Geoff's bio.
So true
Absolutely!
And then he went even lower, and I told my computer screen, "Now he's tunneling UNDER the basement."
hmm. Should be on a t-shirt
Cause of death: he fell from the burj khalifa down to the core of the earth and now he's down where he's always been
At this point he's just flexing
But he can 😂
My high school Spanish teacher was fond of saying, “It’s not bragging if you can do it!”
Long may he continue ❤️
That end note was an E1 he is incredible
Crazy low
It was also a Fry note, which he has said himself is the trickiest bass technique for him personally. So glad he finally got it down!
But it wasn't a surprise anymore
@@sainttx4091 I thought it was a subharmonic?
@@OceanMan88 sounded more like a sub to me but you know how he is with his voice lol. probably could make a fry sound full.
He actually thinks less of his upper register than he should. He apologized for it in the description. Dude needs to give himself more credit
Brad's face shows everything... no explanations needed on how awesome this was
This takes my breath away. It’s amazing. Just fantastic. And all those kinda words! Geoff’s stunning. Pure and simple.
LOL from the basement to the roof - and that look when he needs that low note at 6:23 LOL - love it - great reaction!
plss react to the little mermaid - medley (feat. rachel potter) voiceplay
Absolutely agree! Their Little Mermaid medley is just incredible!
Agree🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes!!
Yes, DO Plz DO!!! Mermaid Medley with Girlfriend even, you both would enjoy it
That low note at the end here was an E1. In the “Little Mermaid Medley,” he slides from a D5 straight into a D1!

Geoff is so good it makes me want to cry
There’s an all bass single coming soon featuring Geoff and Tim
😮😮😮😮
oh boy
Wow, that will be awesome!
I must know more. Tell me more right now!
How'd you know?
Your reaction was great, and Geoff's range is crazy!
Nick pitera is another singer that sounds like two different people. Highly recommend his One Man Phantom of the Opera medley.

Love your reactions!
Can you pls react to voiceplays it aint me feat John pinto jr ?

You absolutely need to react their new little mermaid medley with Rachel Potter and their version of it ain't me ft. John Pinto Jr.

'Guy was in the basement, and now he's on the roof - Good Lord!" Love it
Love this reaction!
Aye that shirt is dope ^^. Loved the reaction Brad keep up the great work. #BradicalBandwagon
you are both funny and sensible...well done keep up the good work ❤
He never ceases to amaze me with his range. While his low notes are awesome, the sheer beauty of his voice in his natural range is breathtaking.
Honestly, you are by far my favorite reactor ever! Please don't ever stop 🙏
He sang a few A1's and maybe one or two G1's in chest, and he hits a Subharmonic E1

6:35...my thoughts exactly that whole song
Went from the basement to the roof...then dug a mine shaft!
How did he get that low? Well, Geoff does have some lessons on singing low tones on his UA-cam channel. You could check those out.

Did anybody else notice the black spot at the top right of the screen and think your phone screen was breaking or was that just me?

Apparently bass singers it’s not as hard to hit high because of thickness of vocal chords. Can pull stretch.
