One small hint about Aizens plan for ichigo you missed was when Gin confronts him at the gate to SS. When Gin hears his name he immediately stops ichigo from going any further. Essentially forcing him into a more stealthy attack plan rather than drawing every soul reaper right to him from the start which would nearly grantee ichigos death. Aizen told him to keep ichigo alive.
Remember, Aizen wasn;t simply hiding in the background during the Souls society invasion. He was acting as Central 46 themselves. He WAS their orders, for the entire duration of the arc.

Ah, finally. That scene, this whole twist is WHY Aizen is so beloved, respected, and FEARED as a villain and character. Back in the day, after this dropped and even now to a lesser degree, memes and jokes about "This was also part of Aizen's plan" were rampant. It is still probably one of the greatest flexes any villain has done EVER in fiction, and one of the best well executed twists in twists as well. It is also the most famous Bleach meme.
There is a lot of small things in bleach that makes me think Kubo at least had a rough draft of the entire story up till the last arc when he started, because the foreshadowing after you know everything is so clear and so perfect.
He did say he had the outline for the major arcs from the begining, and stopped worrying wether he'd be able to continue or not when he reached the part with Uryu (Klub Outside 25). That being said, it doesn't mean he had everything planned, and as a wise man once told me, Kubo is either the king of foreshadowing, or the king of seamless retcon.
Read 13 baldes databook. Kubo did interviews saying TYBW was the firts arc he wrote and everyyhing was build up to it. So kubo wrote bleach has lead up to rhe final arc he wrote before the first chapter.

The reason why everything works so well though is that at least one character mentions something in the moment. So when you learn that Aizen (or someone/thing else) had a hand in and event that happened much earlier, you think back on what was said and it all fits into place. Kubo always leaves some kind of clue that pops out only after the reveal is revealed later dozens or even hundreds of chapters later. However there's people who ignore those breadcrumbs that were intentionally left by Kubo and just claim that everything is an asspull. Yet those same people will literally go on and on about a certain other author that does actually asspull stuff and then exclaim that this is the peak of all literature. Kubo is amazing at leaving those little things that go unnoticed for so long until he wants you to notice it. A very slight spoiler: Yes, Aizen did actually miscalculate that slice he did to Ichigo. His mentioning it at this point is the setup for you to remember during the payoff about 460 or so chapters later. I'll just leave it at that.
Can you elaborate on that spoiler you mentioned? Actual spoilers below: What do you mean "Aizen did actually miscalculate"? Are you saying he intended to kill Ichigo at that point, and missed for some reason? Could you point out the specific chapter you're referring to? I checked chapters 610 to 620, which were around 460 chapters away from the chapter with the slice/miscalculation line, and there is seemingly nothing written or shown in any of them that alludes to the "miscalculated" slice, or Ichigo surviving at that point specifically. Unless you mean Yhwach intervened and saved Ichigo in some way, but that's never pointed out or brought up anywhere in the reveal where he tells Ichigo he also orchestrated everything about Ichigo's life. But Yhwach did not have the Almighty during the Soul Society arc (it only awakened when fighting the Monk), so he would have had to erase all futures where Ichigo dies at the hands of Aizen before his Almighty was sealed by the Monk. But that was only revealed in the anime sooo idk
I'm not OP but I'm guessing that thing that kept Ichigo alive during Kenpachi's fight also kept him alive in front of Aizen and Aizen was, like "Oh, oopsie, I forgot you had that"

I was being somewhat specific but not exact however I also mistyped. I meant around 360ish chapters after and it should've been painfully obvious what I was referring to to those who already know the reason. It's something that's literally teased in the first chapter. I'm not talking about any wild theory I came up with or going on about some crackpot lunacy conspiracy that isn't actually there as if this was One Piece. Again I was being intentionally vague. There's no need to over analyze it and I'm not going to go into further details. If you know the reason why that and other major attacks didn't kill Ichigo that probably should have then you know. Agamotto will find out late next year or the year after that when he finally gets to it at the rate he's going lol. And in fact, it's even less than 360 chapters. It's more like 345ish chapters after that it's brought up. Especially since half the information you gave was vague and the other half wasn't, so I chose to research the non-vague one in order to understand the vague one, but I didn't find the connection so I asked for clarification. Either way, I like finding out new things about bleach, and that's why I wanted to find out what you meant. But having said that, I don't agree with OMZ being the one that saved him in this case. I think there is less evidence for that in this context than there is evidence for Aizen simply lying about miscalculating. No way would Aizen "forget" Ichigo is part quincy. Especially since every time Ichigo was saved by one of his spirits, there was *something* shown, like the random masks appearing on his body, or the whole OMZ sequence vs Kenpachi. But all we have are Aizen's words and dude loves to lie, so the shoe fits.
Little fun fact: Agamotto's OG favorite Hollow was Grandfisher, do you remember when next we saw Grandfisher after he escaped Ichigo? He was the FIRST ARRANCAR WE SAW (probably, If I'm not misremembering). Anyway, my point is that Grandfisher was Aizen's minion. Now... Aizen claims to have controlled Ichigo's life, right? How did Masaki Kurosaki die? hmmmm.... How come Ichigo was overflowing with reiatsu even as a child but never got attacked by hollows after that moment, ever again? Hmmmmm...... But oh... wouldn't you know it! A hollow shows up to kill his family just when Rukia happens to be in the neighborhood with the Hogyoku embedded in her. Almost as if something was controlling the events leading up to Ichigo becoming a Substitute Shinigami. Almost.

I like how Isshin shows up and cuts Aizen off when he says "Because you are human and..." Not because it shows what aizen was going to say visually, but it leaves the door open for what aizen could say. He could've said Hollow, and that's why Ichigo's special, but who knows?
It's been 2 years, so you probably don't remember. Think back to the first encounter with a Menos Grande: while Uryu and Ichigo were busy, and Rukia was restrained, there was a certain entity beat down by jinta-one of the flies that Aizen uses for spywork. Not only that, Urahara had quite the heavy glare when he saw what it was and told jinta to hold it down as well, this was in chapter 50. There's one more aspect that I won't mention, since I'm sure I'll inadvertently spoil a soon-to-be-revealed plot point.
Even though I knew about that most of bleach’s plot was planned by Aizen prior to reading it. I was still at the edge of my seat when he read those chapters as the pattern are crazy
Aizen makes you question everything just by using his words. It is why his Sword fits him so well, his whole character is based around wondering what is real and what is not and his power reflects this. Also, Isshin showing up is such a cool moment!
Aizen being responsible for everything is pretty much who he is. Barely anything catches him by surprise or does not have his fingerprints all over. To be expected of a god on the make. Aizen truly is a legacy defining character thanks to his machinations and deep plans that go for centuries.
Here it is! Aizen's big reveal! Without spoiling anything, I think the coolest thing about this moment in the story is that Aizen himself highlights how his words don't necessarily need to be true. There's pieces of truth in there, to be sure - He's explaining all of the strange coincidences in Ichigo's life - but there's nothing that suggests that ALL of his explanations are factually true. I for instance still like to believe that he didn't actually plan for Kenpachi to run into Ichigo in Soul Society (remember; Ichigo pretty much died back then) but just ran with it once that had all worked out and included it in his explanation here. But Aizen commands such power and confidence in this moment as a "new god" that anything he says that he orchestrated might as well BE the truth. Would *you* choose to doubt the word of God? Also have to shout out the way Kubo drew Aizen's finger in the start of Chapter 397. Absolutely flexing his artistry whilst making an incredibly powerful visual. The finger that stopped Ichigo's blade now so completely in control of his thoughts and words. EDIT: Can't believe you pointed out the exact same thing about his finger LOL
I believe Aizen deliberately atranged Ichigo to fight kenpachi. Kenpachi is ideal as a training partner for several different reasons. Kenpachi tends not to fully finish off defeated foes. Kenpachi doesn't have shikai or bankai. Kenpachi tend to adjust his own strength to match his current opponent.
I like the way you worded it. In a way, Aizen at times just plans and observes as he goes, but has the confidence and believability to claim he planned things from the start.
Kubo is such a Madlad he literally drew a character that IS a Giant sentient Hand and made it take part in one of the longest fights in the series. Which is truly a Flex as a Artist!
Aizen personally is the perfect version of what a Evil Superman should be Absurdly Smart And Absurdly powerful to the point that he holds back not by simple Arrogance but like watching a grown adult fighting a child watching what they are going to do next He is a Asshole he knows he is and he knows that no one can stop him he isnt like Injustice that he has a twisted sense o justice he knows he is a evil asshole. 14:00 in fact, Aizen knowing about Ichigos existence was foreshadowed in manga chapter 75, when Gin knows about Ichigo existence (even Ichigo himself noticed that). So i think that this idea of Aizen being the mastermind was planned while ago, thats crazy.
Ulquiorra's exact analysis was that Ichigo's spiritual pressure was fluctuating wildly. When it is low it is trash but when it is high it is higher than his(Ulquiorra's). Now we know why was that? It was Ichigo's hollow.
Going back to read previous chapters to see the proof and foreshadowing, now you are falling into the bleach rabbit hole and getting the full experience. Amazing summary of what youve read and your thoughts, and as always, the opening you have is so good. Love the video
The fun thing about how Aizen being "behind Ichigo's entire life" has real truth to it, but he's not as in control as he claimed. Even if he set events in motion that would maximize a certain path, there's stuff in the final arc where it's clear Aizen is openly adjusting to an unplanned development, but there are holes in his claim, like he didn't know that Ichigo's Hollowfication would evolve past the perfected Hollowfication in his fight with Grimmjow, as he says, "You fought Ulquiorra, and came back with an even greater power." he didn't know about the Vasto Lorde transformation. It's really well done and has the psychological effect Aizen wanted.
oh I absolutely loved this video, I certainly thought the same as you about it all being part of Aizen's plan when I originally read it, it was too convoluted but when I started to think that the whole thing started way earlier than Ichigo's birth it's when I realized that yeah, it all fits, and with how meticulous Aizen is, this must have been a plan from him, I actually tip my hat to Kubo here, I am not sure how much of this was planned since he started writing Bleach, but there is no way he didn't at least planned some seeds he could turn into this very early on, but I have no idea how he actually pulled it off in writing.

Some people say it was an accident but forget that Aizen is the one who made White and put him in Karakura in the first place, he just saw the opportunity for an even better outcome and placed the pieces in motion.
I'll say Kubo is Even more Genius than i thought, ...He made his characters plan on the go seeing the cause-effect cycles. There are soo many masterminds in Bleach that it's Crazy, But Why Aizen Towers above all.. is because.. He doesn't care about anything but Himself and holds everyone weaker than him in Great Desdain, ..but that alone shouldn't be a reason enough for him to be the Villain, ...and is where Aizen's Evil crops up, ...He is Evil with different methods to that of Yhwach And Tokinada.. That's what i love about bleach, There is diversity even among Villain and How they carry out their Missions
2 Fun fact, first, there is one more clue to Aizen being behind a lot of early Bleach, in the battle against the Menos Grande, at one point a fly is killed after the battle, but Kubo purposely focus on this one dead fly to make a transition... Well someone ask him about that, Kubo answer, that was a method of espionage that Aizen was doing, the voices we hear discussing who to send, was Aizen and his group since they had already kill Central 46. Second, when Aizen is going to reveal about Ichigo parent, initially it didn't said human and... What did it said, i won't say because it can purposely lead your way of thinking, but yeah Kubo did some volume changes later on to this chapter. And when we were reading this chapters week by week, everyone was wondering what this change mean, and later on we got our answer, just know there is more to Ichigo's roots.

This Aizen reveal is simply timeless. The way Kubo recontextualizes the shonen tropes that Bleach dabbled in in a way that doesn't deconstruct them, but instead reinforce them and use them to great effect, seemed like such a love letter to the genre. As others have mentioned, there's still plenty of wonderful things to come that show off Kubo's strength as a mangaka
A quick note on Grimjow vs Ichigo final battle no spoilers though, my thoughts and there are others I've seen put this forward too but Ichigo didn't get a burst of power from protecting orihime there, yes he did for Elquiorra but more that he was holding his hollowfication powers back too much because he was afraid of scaring Orihime, probably because it reminds her of her brother though that's more of a headcannon thing. It's a final show of his true mastery of his mask which as we saw vs Eqluiorra but it wasn't enough and he still fell only being able to come back due to his grizzly transformation. Basically it's him accepting that his hollow is part of him, which is why it's sad that he becomes scared of it again after he transforms.
Sometimes I wonder if Aizen can be considered an author insert. Especially at times like at 1:50 in this video where Aizen with glasses, Aizen without glasses, and Kubo are all lined up side by side and I get a stray thought that they could all be the same person if Kubo was an illustrated/animated character in the same style.

What I really like about this part of the story is how it expresses Ichigo's growth. Aizen is just over here telling Ichigo that nothing matters because it was Aizen's plan all along... yet, despite that, the growth Ichigo went through was real and poignant. Ichigo back in the early series was all, "I do what I want. I'm not going to be a Shinigami just because Rukia told me I have to." Now, Ichigo sees his dad in front of him and goes, "I'm not going to disrespect you."
So when Aizen exits his cocoon, I suspect that form he takes is thw same as the new form that shows up in the TYBW arc, belonging to a different race than hollow and shinigami
It’s funny because I always think Kubo « is » Kisuke + Aizen and even Mayuri at the same times, the former are the people who drive the story forward and Mayuri is the « madness » inside Kubo and also his favorite character

If you go back there is a panel when a bug is spying on ichigo and is then smashed. This is really early like before the soul society arc. It was never explained at the time but it was aizen watching
I have the feeling that Ishin killing Grand Fisher was not what Aizen had in mind. Rather, he most likely sent him to test Ichigo's growth, to compare his power to the last time he fought him. But Fisher mistook Kon for Ichigo and one thing led to the other. And if that the case, that shows that Aizen, as smart and calculating as he is, is not infallible.
People like to joke that Aizen planned everything. But in these chapters we clearly see he's more of a scientist than a schemer at times. He doesn't know the outcome all the time, he's experimenting to find out what it will be. Ichigo here is a happy accident he changes his plans to accomodate after he peaks his interest. After all, Ichigo's existence *doesn't* benefit Aizen, he's actually one of the only meaningful obstacles and opponents to his end goals. The only thing Aizen ever *needed* Ichigo for was being the recipient of Rukia's powers, who got her sentenced to execution so he could attain the Hogyoku. Ichigo being powerful, and Ichigo being unique with multiple different sources of power, actively impedes Aizen's goals. But it sates his curiosity and his proclivities to meddle and play god. For me, when I think of Aizen, I don't think "just as planned". I think of that meme "There's a point where this has to stop and we've clearly passed it, so let's keep going and see what happens."
I'm watching this after the last TYBW episode. Good God that was epic. As good as Bleach was until this moment, the things that made it the best anime imo, are yet to come❤❤😂
People really like to complain about Ichigo having all these powers and becoming very powerful very fast *as if it isn't a part of the plot itself* . It always bugs me to see that critique when I'm like "Augh! You're so close! Yes, you're supposed to question and wonder WHY Ichigo is the special boy of destiny!"
The most obvious and blatant evidence is aizen taking the time to explain to ichigo why he wanted to kill rukia when he could of just taken the hogyoku and left
Without saying too much, Aizen's claims are broadly true but contain a couple of key minor exaggerations and understatements. His actions aren't perfectly planned, but he's extremely good at adapting the plan on the fly to fit around people acting in ways outside what he had initially planned for.
Yeah, I low key hate the "Aizen planned everything" meme because Aizen's key trait has been his adaptability. Things go wrong or not as planned all the time, and he pivots to maximize his gains in the face of unexpected developments. Hell Ichigo himself is a happy accident Aizen expanded his plans to accomodate.
Sometimes something not going to plan can indeed be an unexpected windfall, but to be fair, Aizen had quite a lot of time to adapt his scheming to account for Ichigo's existence once that became a factor he had to account for.

I checked chapters 610 to 620, which were around 460 chapters away from the chapter with the slice/miscalculation line, and there is seemingly nothing written or shown in any of them that alludes to the "miscalculated" slice, or Ichigo surviving at that point specifically.
Unless you mean Yhwach intervened and saved Ichigo in some way, but that's never pointed out or brought up anywhere in the reveal where he tells Ichigo he also orchestrated everything about Ichigo's life. But Yhwach did not have the Almighty during the Soul Society arc (it only awakened when fighting the Monk), so he would have had to erase all futures where Ichigo dies at the hands of Aizen before his Almighty was sealed by the Monk. But that was only revealed in the anime sooo idk
I'm not OP but I'm guessing that thing that kept Ichigo alive during Kenpachi's fight also kept him alive in front of Aizen and Aizen was, like "Oh, oopsie, I forgot you had that"

I was being somewhat specific but not exact however I also mistyped. I meant around 360ish chapters after and it should've been painfully obvious what I was referring to to those who already know the reason. It's something that's literally teased in the first chapter. I'm not talking about any wild theory I came up with or going on about some crackpot lunacy conspiracy that isn't actually there as if this was One Piece.
Again I was being intentionally vague. There's no need to over analyze it and I'm not going to go into further details. If you know the reason why that and other major attacks didn't kill Ichigo that probably should have then you know. Agamotto will find out late next year or the year after that when he finally gets to it at the rate he's going lol.
And in fact, it's even less than 360 chapters. It's more like 345ish chapters after that it's brought up. Again being super vague my son but it should also be super obvious to anyone who has read the manga or seen the episodes unless you were born in the darkness.

Especially since half the information you gave was vague and the other half wasn't, so I chose to research the non-vague one in order to understand the vague one, but I didn't find the connection so I asked for clarification.
Either way, I like finding out new things about bleach, and that's why I wanted to find out what you meant.
But having said that, I don't agree with OMZ being the one that saved him in this case. I think there is less evidence for that in this context than there is evidence for Aizen simply lying about miscalculating. No way would Aizen "forget" Ichigo is part quincy. Especially since every time Ichigo was saved by one of his spirits, there was *something* shown, like the random masks appearing on his body, or the whole OMZ sequence vs Kenpachi. But all we have are Aizen's words and dude loves to lie, so the shoe fits.
Little fun fact: Agamotto's OG favorite Hollow was Grandfisher, do you remember when next we saw Grandfisher after he escaped Ichigo?

It's been 2 years, so you probably don't remember. Think back to the first encounter with a Menos Grande: while Uryu and Ichigo were busy, and Rukia was restrained, there was a certain entity beat down by jinta-one of the flies that Aizen uses for spywork. Not only that, Urahara had quite the heavy glare when he saw what it was and told jinta to hold it down as well, this was in chapter 50. There's one more aspect that I won't mention, since I'm sure I'll inadvertently spoil a soon-to-be-revealed plot point.

Aizen makes you question everything just by using his words. It is why his Sword fits him so well, his whole character is based around wondering what is real and what is not and his power reflects this. Also, Isshin showing up is such a cool moment!
Aizen being responsible for everything is pretty much who he is. Barely anything catches him by surprise or does not have his fingerprints all over. To be expected of a god on the make. Aizen truly is a legacy defining character thanks to his machinations and deep plans that go for centuries.

Without spoiling anything, I think the coolest thing about this moment in the story is that Aizen himself highlights how his words don't necessarily need to be true. There's pieces of truth in there, to be sure - He's explaining all of the strange coincidences in Ichigo's life - but there's nothing that suggests that ALL of his explanations are factually true. I for instance still like to believe that he didn't actually plan for Kenpachi to run into Ichigo in Soul Society (remember; Ichigo pretty much died back then) but just ran with it once that had all worked out and included it in his explanation here. But Aizen commands such power and confidence in this moment as a "new god" that anything he says that he orchestrated might as well BE the truth. Would *you* choose to doubt the word of God?
Also have to shout out the way Kubo drew Aizen's finger in the start of Chapter 397. Absolutely flexing his artistry whilst making an incredibly powerful visual. The finger that stopped Ichigo's blade now so completely in control of his thoughts and words.

I believe Aizen deliberately atranged Ichigo to fight kenpachi. Kenpachi is ideal as a training partner for several different reasons. Kenpachi tends not to fully finish off defeated foes. Kenpachi doesn't have shikai or bankai. Kenpachi tend to adjust his own strength to match his current opponent.
I like the way you worded it. In a way, Aizen at times just plans and observes as he goes, but has the confidence and believability to claim he planned things from the start.
Kubo is such a Madlad he literally drew a character that IS a Giant sentient Hand and made it take part in one of the longest fights in the series. Which is truly a Flex as a Artist!

14:00 in fact, Aizen knowing about Ichigos existence was foreshadowed in manga chapter 75, when Gin knows about Ichigo existence (even Ichigo himself noticed that). So i think that this idea of Aizen being the mastermind was planned while ago, thats crazy.
Ulquiorra's exact analysis was that Ichigo's spiritual pressure was fluctuating wildly. When it is low it is trash but when it is high it is higher than his(Ulquiorra's). Now we know why was that? It was Ichigo's hollow.

The fun thing about how Aizen being "behind Ichigo's entire life" has real truth to it, but he's not as in control as he claimed. Even if he set events in motion that would maximize a certain path, there's stuff in the final arc where it's clear Aizen is openly adjusting to an unplanned development, but there are holes in his claim, like he didn't know that Ichigo's Hollowfication would evolve past the perfected Hollowfication in his fight with Grimmjow, as he says, "You fought Ulquiorra, and came back with an even greater power." he didn't know about the Vasto Lorde transformation. It's really well done and has the psychological effect Aizen wanted.
oh I absolutely loved this video, I certainly thought the same as you about it all being part of Aizen's plan when I originally read it, it was too convoluted but when I started to think that the whole thing started way earlier than Ichigo's birth it's when I realized that yeah, it all fits, and with how meticulous Aizen is, this must have been a plan from him, I actually tip my hat to Kubo here, I am not sure how much of this was planned since he started writing Bleach, but there is no way he didn't at least planned some seeds he could turn into this very early on, but I have no idea how he actually pulled it off in writing.

2 Fun fact, first, there is one more clue to Aizen being behind a lot of early Bleach, in the battle against the Menos Grande, at one point a fly is killed after the battle, but Kubo purposely focus on this one dead fly to make a transition... Well someone ask him about that, Kubo answer, that was a method of espionage that Aizen was doing, the voices we hear discussing who to send, was Aizen and his group since they had already kill Central 46.
Second, when Aizen is going to reveal about Ichigo parent, initially it didn't said human and... What did it said, i won't say because it can purposely lead your way of thinking, but yeah Kubo did some volume changes later on to this chapter. And when we were reading this chapters week by week, everyone was wondering what this change mean, and later on we got our answer, just know there is more to Ichigo's roots.

This Aizen reveal is simply timeless. The way Kubo recontextualizes the shonen tropes that Bleach dabbled in in a way that doesn't deconstruct them, but instead reinforce them and use them to great effect, seemed like such a love letter to the genre. As others have mentioned, there's still plenty of wonderful things to come that show off Kubo's strength as a mangaka
A quick note on Grimjow vs Ichigo final battle no spoilers though, my thoughts and there are others I've seen put this forward too but Ichigo didn't get a burst of power from protecting orihime there, yes he did for Elquiorra but more that he was holding his hollowfication powers back too much because he was afraid of scaring Orihime, probably because it reminds her of her brother though that's more of a headcannon thing.
It's a final show of his true mastery of his mask which as we saw vs Eqluiorra but it wasn't enough and he still fell only being able to come back due to his grizzly transformation.
Basically it's him accepting that his hollow is part of him, which is why it's sad that he becomes scared of it again after he transforms.

Especially at times like at 1:50 in this video where Aizen with glasses, Aizen without glasses, and Kubo are all lined up side by side and I get a stray thought that they could all be the same person if Kubo was an illustrated/animated character in the same style.

What I really like about this part of the story is how it expresses Ichigo's growth. Aizen is just over here telling Ichigo that nothing matters because it was Aizen's plan all along... yet, despite that, the growth Ichigo went through was real and poignant. Ichigo back in the early series was all, "I do what I want. I'm not going to be a Shinigami just because Rukia told me I have to." Now, Ichigo sees his dad in front of him and goes, "I'm not going to disrespect you."
So when Aizen exits his cocoon, I suspect that form he takes is thw same as the new form that shows up in the TYBW arc, belonging to a different race than hollow and shinigami

I have the feeling that Ishin killing Grand Fisher was not what Aizen had in mind. Rather, he most likely sent him to test Ichigo's growth, to compare his power to the last time he fought him. But Fisher mistook Kon for Ichigo and one thing led to the other. And if that the case, that shows that Aizen, as smart and calculating as he is, is not infallible.
I can’t wait until you are reading another series and then find out at the end that it was Aizens plan for you to be reading it the whole time.

People like to joke that Aizen planned everything. But in these chapters we clearly see he's more of a scientist than a schemer at times. He doesn't know the outcome all the time, he's experimenting to find out what it will be. Ichigo here is a happy accident he changes his plans to accomodate after he peaks his interest. After all, Ichigo's existence *doesn't* benefit Aizen, he's actually one of the only meaningful obstacles and opponents to his end goals. The only thing Aizen ever *needed* Ichigo for was being the recipient of Rukia's powers, who got her sentenced to execution so he could attain the Hogyoku. Ichigo being powerful, and Ichigo being unique with multiple different sources of power, actively impedes Aizen's goals. But it sates his curiosity and his proclivities to meddle and play god.
For me, when I think of Aizen, I don't think "just as planned". I think of that meme "There's a point where this has to stop and we've clearly passed it, so let's keep going and see what happens."
My friends and I refer Aizen as "Mr. I have a plan," simply because of this moment.

Without saying too much, Aizen's claims are broadly true but contain a couple of key minor exaggerations and understatements. His actions aren't perfectly planned, but he's extremely good at adapting the plan on the fly to fit around people acting in ways outside what he had initially planned for.
Yeah, I low key hate the "Aizen planned everything" meme because Aizen's key trait has been his adaptability. Things go wrong or not as planned all the time, and he pivots to maximize his gains in the face of unexpected developments. Hell Ichigo himself is a happy accident Aizen expanded his plans to accomodate.
Sometimes something not going to plan can indeed be an unexpected windfall, but to be fair, Aizen had quite a lot of time to adapt his scheming to account for Ichigo's existence once that became a factor he had to account for.
